I time traveled yesterday. It could have been any day between 1975 and 2015. The décor would fit in any of those years. Stevie Wonder at the height of his 70s musical dominance was playing. It was an odd but comforting sensation. I’ve had Round Table pizza just a couple of times, but that’s been quite awhile ago; for years they had very few outlets in the area and never near me. When I walked in, I was the only customer there. The employees were talking while working, but broke away immediately to take my order. The kitchen area was spotless as was the dining area. My counter-person was friendly and efficient. My pizza was served in about 10 minutes. I got the personal pizza on an exceptional cracker-thin crust generously topped with what tasted like various smoked meats and fresh veggies. My only suggestion would be that it could use a little more sauce. It was absolutely delicious. Maybe it was the day(monsoon-like rain). Maybe it was the time-travel sensation. It really doesn’t matter. Everything added up to a really sweet and relaxing experience.

Yeah yeah we all know Round Table has gone way downhill in the past decade. The decline in food quality is one of the more impressive dives I’ve seen any chain go through. They used to be by far the best of the chain pizzas, and their price reflected it. Now their prices are still high and their food is sub-par, to put it lightly. In my hometown we had an absolutely fantastic Round Table. It was a franchise location and the owner ensured it had great food and atmosphere long after most Round Tables had stooped to near pizza-hut-levels of blegh. They had unique menu items, including the long forgotten RT pizza sandwich, garlic twists with Polynesian sauce baked in, and even a burger called«The Castle Burger». The atmosphere was awesome, very medieval feeling with just the right amount of tackiness, there were a bunch of little rooms for groups to take over, the jukebox was filled with punk and heavy metal, and it had a huge arcade. It was a popular hang for us small-town miscreants. Unfortunately the owner decided to sell it to Round Table corporate and it almost immediately joined the ranks of other lowly corporate locations. The arcade was trimmed down, the huge wooden doors(with portholes, naturally) were replaced with glass doors, the menu was reined in, and the food quality took a decided turn for the worst. A sad story indeed. The reason I spent a whole paragraph lamenting about the loss of my once cherished white knight of pizza-dom is because I finally tried the Round Table a few blocks from my house, after living here for more than two years. So soured from the pain of losing the last bastion of old-school Round Table strongholds, I pretty much wrote off Round Table for good. I could get cheap, shitty pizza from Little Caeser’s or go to any number of places and get a high end pie. However, one rainy day I was hungrily walking home when the unmistakable scent of RT lazily wafted in to my nose. Swooned by the childhood memories of a eating an Italian garlic supreme, the snow melting off my jacket by the fireplace, while Alice in Chains blasted on the jukebox, I helplessly wandered in. Okay, this review is getting a little out of hand. Basically I walked in and was greeted by one of the most magnificent salad bars I’ve seen in a pizza place, ever. The thing is gigantic and even had TWO tubs filled with REAL bacon bits. There was even freaking garlic bread; yeah, garlic bread in the salad bar. A truly magnificent salad bar indeed. That alone is why I bestow this specific location with four stars. Go there for the salad bar. Their blue cheese was kick-ass. I almost went with three stars as I did once order a pizza online, only to show up 20 minutes later to be greeted with«Oh, we’ll start making that right now.» Awesome. However they were super apologetic and it seemed like the crew had a good rapport with each other so I’m gonna chalk it up to an honest mistake and give the score this salad bar err… Round Table deserves.

Pizza is always solid but the last two times I ordered I have had to wait for over 20 mins past when I was told my order would be done. Frustrating as all hell. And I watched a dude wait 20 mins for his beer when they weren’t even busy.

So disappointed! Ordered a pizza online which was a feat considering the subpar website. My order included a delivery charge and the address for the delivery. The webite processed the request. About 10 minutes later, I received a phone call from an employee saying that I live 8 blocks outside of the delivery area and would I like to come pick up the order. No, I don’t want to pick it up, hence why I was paying for delivery. It seems to me since your website is not working properly and you have already charged my credit card, including the delivery service fee, why not do the right thing and drive the extra 8 blocks. Then if you don’t want to deliver to my address in the future, fix your website and don’t process requests for delivery to me if I’m outside of your service area. All this hassle for sub par pizza. Not surprising that this place has such a poor overall rating.

Born and raised in SE and this is the best Round Table in town. Pizza is awesome and delicious. Small arcade. We love it cause nobody is even there when we go there. The taste of pizza is why we go here. Pizza and salad bar are GREAT!

I called to order three XL pizzas for my daughter’s birthday party(lots of guests) and the lady on the phone was super friendly and professional. She let me use three coupons, which you normally can’t stack. That was really cool. That made the slightly higher-than-normal prices a little more bearable. I came in to pick up my order a little early and the guy was just throwing the pies in the oven. A few minutes later he walked up to me and admitted that he had cut one of the pizzas into slices, and he just noticed it was supposed to be squares. He offered to remake the pizza. After all the pies were cooked he just let us have the incorrectly sliced pizza for free. So we got an extra pie. The manager even came out to apologize about the mistake, which I totally wasn’t even worried about. We got a free $ 18 pizza out of the whole thing. The staff was very friendly and professional, the pizza was a huge hit at the party and I will definitely come back again.

I loved this place as a kid. I don’t know if it was just my childhood love of all things greasy, or it was actually better then(and I wasn’t paying for it, I’m sure that helped). Now, they’ve consistently raised prices higher than other pizza places around. We got a medium pizza, three garlic twists and six wings– for $ 27 which was overpriced for what it was. We ordered online and it was ready more than 20 minutes after it should’ve been. The garlic twists tasted like pure garlic. The wings were fine, and the pizza was decent though extremely greasy. We probably won’t return for awhile.

This place has been here forever. I grew up a block away and lived here for 20 years. I’m not sure how long it has been Round table, but it has been a Pizza place as long as I can remember. The game room used to be a LOT bigger. The Pizza is good, the service was slow today but we did order quite a bit so I’m sure it took a while to make. The salad bar is fantastic, a huge selection, with nearly everything you could think of. Everything tasted and looked very fresh. The all you can eat salad was 6.99, They have a good selection of other appetizers too, bread sticks and chicken wings. We ordered cheese, pepperoni, and BBQ chicken pizzas; plus wings and bread sticks. All were great. I love that they don’t skimp on the toppings like most places I’ve been to. The pizza crust isn’t soggy or crispy but just slightly chewy and has a nice almost salty flavor. The sauce is tasty but not exactly unique or special. They have a separate room you can reserve for private parties too.

I wouldn’t call it the last honest pizza but I call it not that bad pizza if you’re starving and really close to the location I’ve had lunch there a few times and on one occasion it was surprisingly really good got a decent menu as far as phones chicken wings hot sandwiches and a salad bar so to be dead honest better than Pizza Hut or dominoes

This place falls into the«meh» category of pizza. While the pizza tastes pretty good it’s slightly expensive and if I’m going to spend good Money on pizza I’m going elsewhere. The one thing that this place does have is a large room for banquets. That’s just about it. Good for Little kids birthday parties but I’m going to most likely go elsewhere for a good slice of za.

Ordered pizza and wings online total of $ 34! Should have been to my house in 45 minutes. It was 20 minutes late. When I called to check where it was they told me it has already gone out and should be there soon. No real apologies from the person I spoke to over the phone. The guy who delivered it didn’t even apologize. Food was cold… Won’t be ordering from here again.

Worst pizza parlor in Portland. They raised prices by almost $ 6 on everything. Large pepperoni for 18 bucks? Are you kidding? Tables are all wiped down with a dirty rag. Take your pick of greasy table or sticky table. Place had an ENTIRE dining room full of people waiting for pizza, some people for over an hour. Kitchen was cranking out the pies non-stop though. Good job putting your entire restaurant on the back burner for your take out orders. Waited for 40 minutes for my pizza. Boring ambiance. I’ve seen hotel Motel 6 lobbies with better décor. I’ll never order a Round Table pizza again, especially not at that horrible price point, and I’ll definitely never go back to that location.

Oh boy. I guess it stacks up as ‘ok’ when you compare it to traditional cardboard pizza joints, but honestly in Portland the pizza scene is pretty competitive. There’s nothing very interesting about the types of pizza, the way it’s prepared, or the ingredients used. Sorry…

HORRIBLE horrible customer service! And the food isn’t good enough to balance out the rude employees. I have had several experiences in the last few months at this particular location that have been horrible. The employees are mean, and even snotty, Last time I went in my pizza took 30 minutes after the time they said it would be ready and when I asked the employee about it she was very rude. In fact she slightly«tossed» my to-go salad container at me! AFTER I waited 30 minutes past the time it was supposed to be ready. I get being busy… I get being short staffed but when I called tonight to order and was treated JUST as rudely on the phone. I have decided this place needs to do something about their horrible employees– because the food is still enjoyable

Round Tables are disappearing… I blame the sea of independent pizzerias in Portland that attract the hipsters and the major chains attracting the rest. Personally I think that Round Table has great pizza. This location hasn’t ever done me wrong… no messed up orders, no extended waits… I’m glad that this one is still around.

This place has gone downhill. Pizza was overpriced, tables were dirty, and very few customers. There were very few beer choices. Is this the fall of Camelot?

This is easily the worst Round Table Pizza in existence, I swear. I’ve ordered online and it tells you 15 mins. So, we all know that isn’t true and I wait 30 mins before I even leave my house(up the street) and they are JUST getting started on the pizza. That’s happened twice now. I learned from that mistake and I just don’t order online anymore. I don’t think you should have internet presence if you aren’t going to be speedy an efficient. The customer service also leaves something to be desired, the people just aren’t friendly. My parents and I ate-in here… ordered a pizza, but ordered it to go because we wanted it in a box(we didn’t want to have to go back up and ask for a box) It took 45 minutes before we went up there and asked what the heck was going on. Turns out our pizza was«Just coming out of the oven» even though it wasn’t busy at all. They gave us the pizza in a box and it was actually cold. It was a $ 30 dollar pizza, so I expected a little more out of it. In the defense of customer service of Round Table, I did contact them and they resolved the issue.

After going to a comic reading at Guapo Comics, we ventured over here at like 9:30pm and they were still open. Thank goodness, because in our neighborhood things close at 8pm. The staff here were really nice and told us about their special, a large pizza for $ 10. That is soooooo cheap! Yep we sure got the large and had left overs for the next day. Yeah! This location looks like they offer a pizza buffet during the day. Those are hella good. This place is really big, so you can sure have a big pizza party. So unlike my local Round Table where there’s not much space so we always order take out.
