Group review: –Cozy vibes, not too sketchy, cute bartender, décor was a little rag tag but clean, well drink was strong. –it was empty at 7:30 but would likely be more appealing when there’s more people there -«it was cool– short, succinct, that’s the type of man I am. Not short stature-wise, short conversationally. Which makes this really funny because this is really long winded» –cool -«Pleasantly nostalgic. Reminds me of the adult version of my childhood’s pizza parlors.»

If there was a way to give this nasty ass place negative stars, I would promptly do so. I’m basing my review largely on the customer service.(Or lack there of.) If you read other reviews, you’ll notice that multiple people have commented on what a complete and utter ass monkey the owner, «Glen» is. Let me assure you, they are spot on! The«guy»(and I use the term guy loosely) is a total nimrod. He’s beyond rude, and goes out of his way to ignore you as you stand at the bar waiting to get helped. He will put his head down and deliberately pretend you aren’t there. When you ask if he can help you, he gets rude and barks at you. I read a review by a guy who wanted to cash out his video poker tickets and was talked down to by the owner. The same thing happened to me. What a complete jerk! I can’t believe this person can stay in business after the way he treats loyal patrons who yes… pay his salary! Wake up «Glen» and get a clue. Quit being a major douchebag to your customers. People will eventually get sick of your shenanigans, and you’ll have no one to blame but yourself for your miserable business failing. P. S. Your restrooms are filthy!

Hidden Gem… first time here and I have to say I think I might just become a regular. Consistent service, great drinks and amazing food. The cheese and bacon fondue was orgasmic! I like the vibe on a weeknight and can’t wait to see what the live music brings on a weekend. The owner was great as well.

Dang mane the best beer and pizza in town fasho. Like frfr. Also the hottest waitress in all of Portlandia. Hotter than all«suns out buns out» wannabe California prostitotz stripping near the square. Naymsayn? Like hotter than the alternadudes hot girlfriend who plays in that electro folk punk band that you wouldn’t know the name of. I think I saw her at a house show on 9th and Alberta a few years ago. Idk. Pizza is almost as good as tributes but nothing beats that. Rip tributes. Man I wish music millennium was still around in nw Portland that was my jam. Go here if ur looking 4 a good time.

I’d been to OMalleys many times, but always just to grab a beer and sit outside. This time, we came here aiming to watch the Timbers game, but still have a place that is kid friendly. It worked out perfect! Probably 80% of the bar is 21 and up with pool tables, a long bar and plenty of seating. The other 20% is a sliver in the front that has arcade games, a projector and space for kids to play. It worked out very well. We could watch the Timbers on a large projector screen while our niece played games. The staff was very friendly. Food is average, not bad, not amazing. Overall, great local dive, friendly staff, kid friendly area, lots of games, decent food… will def be our spot for Timbers games now. And they have a virtual putt putt golf game that is surprisingly really fun!

This bar has the absolute worst bartender whom I guess is the owner, he and the gal behind the bar ignored me for 20 minutes, the only reason I stayed was because I had friends there I really wanted to be with. When the guy who gave 1 star on the 17th stood up for me the bartender was super rude, it wasn’t that busy ATALL I mean OMG he was just a super rude and yelled. I ordered 3 drinks so I wouldn’t have to go back to the bar again, just hang with my friends and get out of there. Never going back ever. Don’t waste your time unless you go at high noon when there are only three people in there — apparently they can handle that level of a crowd without going crazy on customers. I watched them wash the bar twice when it was completely clean, push around receipts, pour a beer for an entire 5 minutes. Never have I been less impressed and the bartender/owner is clearly unhappy and doesn’t appreciate paying, patient customers.

I was treated very very poorly by the owner of this bar. I came in to grab a beer with a couple of my buddies a couple weeks back, initially when I walked in I really felt like the bar had a cool vibe, so far so good, then I grab a beer from the bartender/owner, he was very short with me and just overall put off a negative vibe, no worries, I’m not there to make friends with the owner and being super quiet and frowning constantly isn’t enough to deter me. So I grab my beer, tip him a dollar, I say thanks(he says nothing to me) and proceed over to play a little video poker, I play for about 20 minutes then cash out and head over to the bar to redeem my lotto tickets, I have 5 lotto tickets, I hand them to him and ask him nicely if he can cash these out for me, he looks at me and says«5 of them at once?!» In a super rude tone, I’m a bit put off at this statement, but I thought he may be joking around, I responded cordially with«oh yeah haha sorry I just like to play different machines», he is turned around at this point adding my tickets together(mind you, this is very simple math, I assure you it isn’t hard), then out of nowhere he raises his voice and says«I’m not your damn accountant!», again I thought he might be joking with me because I would not imagine that someone would treat a customer this way, so I laughed, because I literally thought he was trying to be funny, so then he turns his head over his shoulder and says«that wasn’t a joke either». I was literally so blown away by how this guy acted toward me, I could not believe it, I got my cash from my tickets and left about 15 minutes later. It’s sad because I would have definitely gone back to this bar because I truly like the way it was set up and the whole vibe was awesome, but the owner(Glen) just totally treated me horrible for absolutely no reason and I would just never go back to that bar again without being apologized to, I’m not sure if he was having a bad day but that was just unacceptable.

Rude bartenders! Slow service. Go somewhere else… anywhere else except here. We made the mistake of stopping by this bar thinking it could be a nice dive bar. We waited 20 minutes for a drink and when my husband asked if they could serve us, the bartender suggested we go somewhere else… so we did. BuBye!

Decent place to get a drink and good food out of the brick oven. If like to understand how they randomly charge $ 5\hr for pool vs when it is free. The pool tables and equipment are in bad shape. The free pool used to bring me in, but I can play for 50 cents a game at Slingshot on MUCH better equipment.

This«LOSER» Glen E. Wallace is the owner at this place and had the nerve to treat me a good customer like an asshole. The audacity for you to call a neighborhood customer a loser. That is terrible customer service. I’m still mad about my drink with no liquor for 9.25 but for you to go on Unilocal and call me a «loser» completely unacceptable as a business owner. I will be sure tell everyone I know how he is treated at this establishment.

Been here three times now… Kind of a classic SEP bar, good beer prices, Hamms on tap, pizza is amazing, music is honestly not my taste but if you like hard rock music you wont mind it, music is a bit too loud for my taste. Pool tables and video poker.

Ordered a pepperoni pizza(it was on their special menu) and let’s just say Little Caesar’s is gourmet compared to what I got. The pizza was as thin as a sheet, which be fine if it was good, but if you’re going to marinate your pizza in grease your crust should have a little more substance to it for it to hold up. It was so floppy that you couldn’t even fold it in half length wise as you would a New York style pie. The grease flowed from each slice like tears of disappointment. I paid $ 16.50 for something likely to give my friends and me mudbutt — I feel ripped off and my wallet violated.

Friendly, quick bartender. We live in the neighborhood and figured we’d get a drink at a dive-y bar and what’s better than an Irish named bar? The pizza here is AMAZING. You wouldn’t think you’d get good pizza at some crappy bar, but it’s incredibly good. Brick oven pizza & it’s thin crust. Mac & cheese was delicious, too… and cheap @ 12 per pizza and 6 for mac n cheese. One star less because the music is effing horrible.

You know those chicks that kind of look a little nasty on the outside but once you get their clothes off, they are pretty hot? O’Malleys is the dive bar equivilent of that 36 year old chick that looks seedy but can lay it down like a champ. The outside is in a shitty part of town, and has some bad graffiti art on the walls. Once you get inside it is a much different story. The place is very big for what it looks like. The tables, bar, and walls are made of really thick stained wood and it has a really rustic vibe to it. There is some pretty bizzare art on the wall. Some really cool, some amusingly bad. The music choices are great, and it doesnt overwhelm any conversation. There is a pretty big selection of beers, including some gluten free that I tried. They were all priced low. The food was typical bar food and some really good wood fired pizza. The service was decent. Could have been a bit faster but I have had way worse. The bartender and pizza guy were very friendly and helpful. Overall, this is a really cool place. I think the exterior really scares a lot of people off. Its a nice little find if you grow the balls to actually go in the joint. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes finding little hidden treasure type places.

went here because it has 4 stars. Ordered the margherita pizza. Literally the worst pizza i’ve had yet. Dry(no sauce), grocery store-type shredded cheese. It genuinely tastes like cardboard. no metaphor here. yuck. Oh, and the online menu says it’s $ 15 but they charged me more… and I tipped! what a sucker…

Great bar. Open at 3pm, cool staff and owner. I’ve only been here right at opening due to my job in beer sales. I was told they have amazing pizza. Great for groups. Good draft line up. Fun dive right on Foster. Beautiful TVs.

Great pizza option in Foster Powell. Don’t be fooled by the«it’s a sports bar» exterior, they serve some seriously good pizza here. I tried the Tre Carne($ 17 for a 14″) which comes with high quality pepperoni, mild italian sausage and salami on thin crust. It was every bit as good as my other favorite Portland pizza, Gladstone St. Pizza, and was about $ 6 less. The bar itself is a divey sports bar with tvs and pool tables, so not really my scene if I’m not in the mood to catch a game, but definitely worth it to try the pizza.

I’m a fan of O’Malley’s and not just because it has two apostrophes. I was Unilocaling for a new bar because the bars near my house are a little played out. O’Malley’s came up because it was open til 2(not a lot of places are on a Thursday, I learned). I also saw in their pictures, they had pizza which seemed less like bar food and more like something I might actually eat when the sun was out. I ordered two drinks, though I never knew how much they were because I never got an itemized receipt. I probably could’ve asked for one. I probably could’ve asked ahead of time. I didn’t. And I didn’t. But it was kind of annoying playing the«Guess the Tab» game while cashing out. And it was kiiiinda steep. Two menu items and four drinks(two cocktails, 2 beers, maybe three beers?) was $ 34 before tip. I know the cost of the food was around $ 10. I did order 2 call drinks(New Deal + Ginger) so I knew they wouldn’t be free or anything but that did seem steep. That said, I was a happy little clam here. There were pool tables. Window seating(I love people watching, esp at a bar). Cool bartender(except for the Price is What game). There were some noisy drunks but a simple relocation made them feel blocks away. Pretty good music on the juke, as I recall. A few tvs. I’d go back but I have to drive and that’s a bit of a bummer remix. But I like this area of Foster. And I think I’ll make O’Malley’s one of my little haunts.
