2nd time coming here. I had my car towed to Scholls Ferry Auto when it turned off on the highway, but when they looked at it the next day, nothing appeared to be wrong. They drove it for a good 7 miles of left it idle for a bit, in attempts to replicate the issue. Unfortunately the issue didn’t come back and everything else checked out during their assessment. I only had to pay a minimal inspection fee, which is absolutely fair. I appreciate their honesty and straight forwardness about the situation. They didn’t try to sell me anything or jump to conclusions. Intermittent issues are hard to identify if the issue isn’t occurring.

$ 60 for diagnostics that didn’t diagnose any problems. While the staff was friendly, this didn’t seem honest to me, which is obviously a number one priority when it comes to mechanics.

Highly recommend them for your car repair needs. I typically get oil changes at Oil Can Henry’s or someplace for a quick trip and they’re always telling me everything under the sun that needs to be fixed on my SUV. It does have a few miles on it so I knew it could use a thorough check up. I started having problems with it dying on me and Chris/​Gabe quickly determined it was an issue with the battery connection. They did a comprehensive check and only encouraged me to have my rear brakes done as they were down to about 10%. No other up selling or pressure and I was in and out in two days at a very reasonable price. Thanks again!

I would strongly recommend this car repair shop especially to women. They are up front and honest, they will be protective of your property if you have to leave your car there, treat your property and you with respect. No dumb girl treatment. They provide you with an itemized list of the charges without surprises. They do a cap on the amount of hours to figure out an issue. And if they don’t use the full time you both agreed on they don’t do shady business to try and fleece you out of your hard earned money. They provide you with a written overview of what they did diagnostically and identify if you have potential hazards. If you are a woman and are concerned that you would be taken advantage of… worry not with this place.

I took my car in to get my heating system looked at and ended up needing a new heater core. I was heading out on a road trip in two days and was needing my car for the trip… fixed. The team there was able to hammer out the job and replace my heater core by the next day. Thank you for allowing me to have a warm car ride over the pass guys!

My daughter’s car broke down over the weekend, and because the tow truck arrived 2 ½ hours late, her car didn’t get to the repair shop until closing time on Saturday. This meant that she would have no transportation until Monday afternoon.
Instead, Chris chose to go out of his way to ensure that her car got inspected and repaired that day. And more important, while many mechanics might use this opportunity to charge for a much more expensive (and perhaps unnecessary) repair, he discovered that it was a minor issue, so that same day, and for much less than we were afraid we would have to pay, the car was fixed.
Chris’ dedication and integrity were unmatched that day, and I would not hesitate to use them over all others.

I’ve taken a couple different makes and models of vehicles to this shop. They’ve always shot me straight, were very honest, knowledgeable, and affordable. They won’t talk you into unnecessary services, which is a big difference from other shops I’ve seen. Good people and would definitely recommend.

Professional, courteous, and fast. A car wash broke my rear windshield wiper. I had a bad experience with Tonkin Honda where I purchased my car. so I did not want to return there. Unilocal lead me to Scholls Ferry Auto repair. The wiper mechanism was repaired for under $ 30. Works good as new. What a deal, mechanics that fix problems instead of insisting on replacing the whole mechanism for $ 100s which would have happened at the dealer. Scholls Ferry is my go to Auto repair shop now.

I needed to change battery and oil on my Ford Escape. I came in yesterday last minute and they took me in! Chris and Gabe are very helpful and friendly, they got my car ready in under an hour.
Price is very reasonable too and don’t try to rip you off.
I recommend this place to everyone.

Gabe was a jerk on the phone, Chris had the day off. Gabe wanted me to leave my car there all day, didn’t even want to schedule an appointment. I was telling him that my brakes were dragging and I was getting steering wheel shake when stopping hard, he said this was because I was riding my brakes going downhill and overheated them. I drive a stick shift and never ride my brakes downhill (I use low gear when going down a hill)! I went to Les Schwab and they found that two of the brake calipers were seized/​stuck. After replacing all four calipers and the front rotors my car stops like it should. Too bad you guys missed out on a full brake job, but you are SOOOO busy that my business didn’t matter to you.

These guys at Scholls Ferry Auto are as good as it gets. I’ve used them several times over the past couple of years and will continue to be a loyal customer. Chris and Gabe have always been very fair and honest and able to talk through whatever issues I’m having with my Honda Pilot. They finish jobs on time or early, have been able to perform work under the estimated price and have even thrown in free wiper blades when they previously received the wrong model from their supplier.
I live very near their location and often walk by on my way to Uptown Market (another great place) next door for beer. Everyone is always cheerful and friendly and I see many satisfied customers coming and going. I recommend them without hesitation.

I too, am surprised that Scholls Ferry Automotive doesn’t have many reviews… This place is great! They’ve been my mechanic of choice for over four years now and I’ve referred my sister and a friend to them. They are honest, trustworthy and upfront about repair costs, timeline, and what can wait and what can’t. Other than recall repairs, I’ll never go to the dealer again. From previous review. I needed a wheel bearing and clutch adjustment. With clutch a 500 dollar job at Clutch doctors. After the bearing, it drove like new!

We have been going to them for many years and every time our cars are in for repairs or oil changes they are amazing! They never try to sell you more repairs than are actually needed. I completely trust them! Next time you take your car to the dealer to get a repair quote, run it by Scholls ferry auto and it will save you money!

These guys are fantastic. While waiting for my girlfriend to finish an interview across the street I fell asleep in my car with the headlights on and killed my battery. I called this place because I could see the building from my car. They came across the street within 2 min and jumped my car no questions asked. If I have any serious issues I’ll for sure look these guys up. Thank you so much.

Sending your car in to a garage can be stressful. Especially when you hear of all the places that’ll take advantage of you. My dad turned me on to them because of his wonderful experiences. We now get oil, brakes, and everything else done here.
It’s always the same people working. Chris or Gabe will normally pick up the phone when you call. They are all fair, honest, and really know cars. If it’s simple, they will tell you and fix it at a reasonable price. If it’s complicated they’ll tell you up front. No surprises. It’s not a place where they’re going to say we have a $ 9.99 special and then try to sell you everything under the sun.
These guys truly deserve some recognition for their honesty and skill.

I am shocked this auto shop has no reviews yet, and I hope this first one helps this business thrive. I called around 10:30am today to get my breaks replaced, I had my car in the shop by 11am and it was home and as good as new by 2:30pm. I was given a ride home from the shop and a ride back to the shop once my car was ready to pick up, and both technicians who drove me were very sweet and pleasant to talk to. Chris in the office is very friendly and his cute dog was in the office with him to greet me. The price for the work done was very reasonable as well. Overall, this has been the best auto shop experience I have ever had, and I hope to use this Unilocal review to spread a good word!

It simply doesn’t get any better than this, folks. I know that when I bring my truck to Gabe, it’s going to get fixed. It’s going to get fixed, the right time, the first time, and for a great price. Period.
He understands that business is not about a one– shot transaction, it’s about building relationships. Simply put– he wants me to continue going back to see him, so he treats me and my truck with respect. What more could you ask for?
I would send my Mother to this guy.

I had a headlight out and rolled into Scholls Ferry Automotive. There was only one person in the office when i showed up. He said it would take about an hour for him to attend to my vehicle. I went and grabbed coffee and came back within 15 minutes. When i arrived back the gentleman said he would get to soon. Sure enough 10 minutes later he took my car and put my headlight in! Great service.
