Shellac manicure $ 36.00, no massage, no cuticle care, friendly staff. Just average. Other reviews seemed accurate, I forgot to check Unilocal before going in. I needed quick and convenient. That I got.

This place is FILTHY FILTHY FILTHY! I went in yesterday for a mani pedi for my daughter and a full set for me. To say they did a horrible job is an understatement. They actually messed up my first full set so bad they had to soak them off and start over! The next set they put on wasn’t much better. My nails are WAY longer than I wanted and horribly sculpted all uneven and bumpy but at that point it had been 2 ½ hours and my 4 year old was impatient and I wanted out of this hell hole. The guy actually cut himself and got his blood on me!!! It’s a shame because I really wanted to love this place since I work in the mall and it would’ve been super convenient.

I went here with my friend and daughter today and I have never been so disappointed and disgusted by a nail salon like I was with this one. The conditions were unsanitary and they used the same tools on both my daughter and I; and then tried to blame me by saying I wanted it that way when we told them that was inappropriate and not sanitary. They did not clean out the foot tubs properly and the floors were filthy and wet. After we confronted them about their poor practices they completely ignored us and only spoke to us when absolutely necessary. I am going to report them to the proper authorities and I suggest you never ever use this salon.

THE WORST. not only was I missed priced on my pedi the guy working did a terrible job. There was polish all over my skin. They were rude and not friendly and on top of it when I asked for a dryer he tried to tell me no when no one was using it!!! I insisted that I would like to dry and he still tried to fight me on it. I did get them dried and will NEVER be back.

I’m so pissed I spent $ 50 on this. I should have looked at the reviews beforehand. It’s smudged and I didn’t even touch anything. She did not do a good job at painting my nails.

Worst manicure and pedicure ever.
Went with my friend for my birthday… what a let down!
The place was FILTHY, in fact filthy is putting it lightly. Their procedures are unsanitary… putting implements into dirty cup holders on the massage chairs then using them on my feet and hands. The foot basin was gross as well as the floors… trash behind the pedi stations.
Calling this place a day spa is a stretch. There is nothing relaxing or spa like about this place. There was a lady talking very loudly about her sex life on her cell the entire time we were there and none of the staff addressed her rude behavior. The guy who did my pedicure made multiple comments about my boney shins… wtf?!?
The mani and pedi were both rushed and painful. My hands and feet look worse now than when I arrived. If you choose to go here… don’t say you weren’t warned.

Absolutely the worst! Not even worth one Star.
I took my girlfriend in to this place and the manager rudely passed us off to someone else.
None of them can communicate effectively, so it was hard to understand what we were agreeing to. She kept pushing upgrades and to get more done. Finally agreed and they charged up 2x on what they quoted us on.
I will be returning to get a refund.
I wish we would have read the reviews on here before we even walked in the place.
I hope this lousy business will be shut down!

They were able to accommodate 3 pedicures and a child’s mani-​pedi walk-​in on a holiday. We were pleased with the service and the pretty flower decorations. Not sure why they have so many bad reviews. The children’s stations are so cute with cartoons to keep them occupied. The pricing is reasonable.

It was bad for me to say the least. I came in with a friend in like April because we both wanted pedicures. We both got greeted right away and sat down. As soon as we sat down they put VERY hot towels on our shins. When I say VERY I mean I got first degree burns on my legs and they almost got to second if I hadn’t said anything. My woman kept talking to the woman who was doing my friends toes. My friends woman was focused and I could tell she was annoyed that my woman wasn’t doing my toes or focused on me all that much. They kept trying to convince me and my friend to do everything there and we kept saying no. Also somehow my friend and I got roped into the leg and foot massage before we even answered!!!
My pedicure was ok. Towards the end my woman put new VERY HOT TOWELS on me again after I firmly said no and my friend told her no. After she put the first one on my eyes were burning and I was yelling at the top of my lungs at her to take it off and actually kicked her 4 times (YES 4 TIMES)!!! She took it off but then put it back on after waiting for 30 seconds.
I will not come back at all.

Can’t I give zero stars for this chop shop?
I totally got taken advantage of here. I feel embarrassed I fell for this and didn’t stand up for myself. Walked in with my friend and a woman we could hardly understand gave us a good price so we said sure. They super quickly separated us before we could change our minds and got going. ok. Immediately the upselling started. I asked for a shellac manicure but was pestered by woman who kept trying to convince me to get a manicure too. I said no. And she’d ask again in another way a minute later. She asked over and over again, «it summer… treat yourself… you need it to match… you work so hard … to look pretty». I even heard them talking in another language and could tell they were talking about the services I was getting when she shook her head and told her coworker «pedicure». And then tried to upsell me again! I should have drawn the line a million times and told them to stop asking and not have conversations I couldn’t understand. But she was so smiley I totally fell for it! Felt bad somehow I couldn’t understand her. Somehow, I agreed to a flower on my toe. No idea how much it was but somehow felt I needed to say yes to something. Bizarrely instead of doing the shellac pedicure at the massage chair they rushed me over to a manicure table and the lady sat on the floor doing my toes putting them in and out of the UV light. The ONLY positive is that she did seem to pay attention to applying the shellac more carefully than regular polish and the flower was cute. But then I got up to the register. Another rush. She asked for the tip in a cash (which I never should have even given) which I did. I’m not quite sure but think she may have gotten it in cash and ALSO added to for the total so she got tipped twice. I’m thinking of tipping off the news investigators to this place.

I’ve been to many nail salons in my life and the quality received at this nail shop is probably the worst. The ladies are sweet and know how to up sell services for sure!!! But the finished product… ISN’T what the 3 dollar signs gets you. I guess I should have waited the extra day to get my nails done and my normal nail salon. Lesson learned. Don’t recommend at all!

I won’t be back. I should have turned around immediately as a pushing women approached me while I was looking at the prices and salon options, but I was in need of a quick shellac manicure. I was the only customer in the «spa». My manicurist had a cold which seemed unsanitary as he/​she were constantly wiping their nose. There were 3 other employees in the corner watching tv, talking and laughing, being obnoxious and obviously not sick. Unprofessional! They also tried to push a pedicure me, but after what I had witness already I was not going to stay any longer. My shellac lasted as long as a regular manicure, as they painted my cuticles and it started to peel in 3 days. Also overpriced. I pay $ 25 for an amazing shellac at my regular place, this place changes $ 31 without tip. Not worth it! Do not waste your money here unless you want to feel uncomfortable and want a terrible manicure!

I was in the mall and desperate for a mani and pedi. They totally rushed every thing, made me feel so uncomfortable by trying to up sell me other services I did not need. The prices are ridiculous. Lesson learned… always Unilocal!And never go to this place again even if deparation calls for it.

I’m not sure why I have tried this place so many times, actually yes I am, they’re open later than other place but STAY AWAY!!! Pedicure you usually think… relax… But not here. The ENTIRE pedicure with a friend while we were trying to have a conversation I was asked about my tattoos, Piercing when I wasn’t being asked about my body I was being asked to get a manicure if I said no I was asked WHY! or my eye brows waxed etc. 33.00 for a REGULAR pedicure. — - that’s the only choice they gave us. Until we saw 25.00 was available on the board as we were leaving. They don’t know how to give change back if they want a tip either!!! You give 1s back for a tip not larger change!!! And there is Nail polish all over toes !!!

This place has to be a joke! $ 43 to get a full set with sparkles and to be cut 5 times to the point I am bleeding, nails uneven, didn’t use the skinny file under my nails to clean out the crap and used the white file you get in the kit so harshly that all my fingers are red. I want my money back but they said I had hang nails which is a lie. You guys are not even worth a full star. I expect a lot for the high crazy prices you guys charge and for being one of the only nail salons in the mall. Now I will have to pay to go to another place and have this work fixed. To add insult to injury you point out my eyebrows which look done to me and my friend and ask of I want them done because you think they look bad. Do us a favor and close down.

Why does an upscale mall like Washington square allow a place like this to remain open? Complain to mall management. I just read that someone paid over $ 175 for mani pedis for 2 people??? They are ripping people off. Close this place down already.

Walked in and asked how much a pedicure was they said 25 $ so I agreed to get one! I sat down and they placed a towel on my lap which usually means I’m getting a manicure. I didn’t ask for a manicure but they insisted. They said it’s only 10 $ more so I said oh sure why not. 35 $ for a mani and pedi sounded good to me. My bill came and it said 59 $…somehow my generic pedicure and manicure (no color polish) went from 35 $ to 59 $.I was heated so I threw my shoes on and have them no tip. Clearly they can take that extra 24 $ they charged me and tip themselves. They were mad and spoke about it right in front of me. Washington square needs to shut this place down.
I will no longer shop at this mall because of this experience.

The women who work here are rude and interested only in one thing: up selling every. single. customer. I was a walk-​in for an eyebrow wax and a basic manicure. The woman who waxed my eyebrows demanded to know why i didn’t want an upper lip wax too… i told her NO and she gave me the disapproving «tisk-​tisk» and asked me again.
The second girl kept telling me «i give you special manicure» and I told her i wanted a basic manicure NO SHELLAC and she did not listen to me. I know she understood what i meant. She also gave me the world’s most awkward shoulder massage while my nails were drying. I told her NO to that as well and she said its free. I don’t care if its free or not, i don’t want your massage. I didn’t ask for it and this is weird.
Please for the love of god do your research and avoid this place at all costs. You don’t need this stress in your life. They are incompetent and don’t care about what the customer actually wants.

I am not one to write a review, good or bad, but I couldn’t pass this one up. If I could put a zero instead of a one I would.
My friend and I went to the mall from out of town and we spontaneously wanted to get a pedi. We found this place while shopping. They got us in quickly. We both sat down and my friend got her pedi started right away. I sat there waiting for at least 10 minutes. The lady that was doing my friends pedi said sorry for your wait my sister is lazy, but we just carried on chatting while waiting for the other lady to get there.
While sitting there they asked me a few questions, mostly small talk. Everything seemed to be going better. Then, they started asking if we wanted other services. We graciously said no thank you. But literally they asked my friend like 5 more times and she ended up saying yes. I think more so cause she had to wait for me to get done since I started so late, but then they started asking me again. I finally just started ignoring the questions.
I sat under the dryer and was talking to my friend and we started noticing things that didn’t get done, like neither of us had our cuticles touched, the pumice lasted about 1 minute, and I had red nail polish all over my feet & legs (how the heck did it get there?).
I actually ended up calling my friend when I got home and with a sarcastic tone I said to her «did you look up close at your feet?» There was nail polish all over my feet and barely on the nail. It looks like I had a 3 year old paint my nails. They were also barely filed.
The list goes on… so overall, don’t waste your money. Because I was also charged wayyyyy tooooo much. I really can’t believe this place is still there!!! The mall should kick them out.

I had to run some errands at Washington Square Mall and really needed a Mani and Pedi for my Thanksgiving trip. This place was just WAY to convenient to pass by.
I walk right by them every time I come to the mall. They seem really busy. They must make BANK. I think this is the only nail salon in the mall.
The initial lady who greeted me was very friendly. The chair I was selected to sit in was disgusting. All the chairs seem pretty worn out. The trays for your personal items and drinks were very dirty. They need a good scrubbing. I highly recommend the Mr Clean Magic Erasers.
There was no music playing.
The lady doing my Pedi was quite genuinely friendly. Definitely tried to make small talk. Her fellow employee who did my mani was VERY unfriendly. Acted as if I was bothering her. Eye rolling and such.
They both did a terrible job painting my nails with the red color I selected. I realize red is a difficult color to work with. That’s why I was PAYING people to do it. Red polish was smeared all along my skin. Thankfully I wasn’t headed to an event.
I decided to use the bathroom on my way out. This SERIOUSLY was the clincher. I don’t care what kind of business I’m visiting. If the bathroom is nasty, it entirely reflects how I feel about my visit.
The trash can looked like it was rolled through filth. The toilet was crazy gross. The nastiest mop bucket was parked right inside it. Also, leading to the bathroom was an apparent break room that was very un-​organized and shabby.
Not the spa experience I paid for.
Washington Square Mall should shut this place down.
