Awesome value for what you get! I LOVE their House Curry. However, it’s not the freshest tasting food, and it is VERY sugary. It’s not necessarily grossly sweet, but I can feel the sugar. I eat a lot of Thai food and it never has an effect on me like Thai Pasta does. I don’t even order the House Curry anymore because of that, even though it’s my favorite dish here… Now I stick with mostly noodle dishes. Even if I only eat half of my food, I always feel sluggish afterwards… it doesn’t stop me from getting it(especially on a workout day) but in terms of quality, there’s something lacking. Their drinks are good, their menu is versatile, it’s just too much sugar, but not too much to stop going altogether.

Pad Thai was good but greasy vegetables were fresh; great prices; lady was nice; hot Thai tea was delicious.

The guy running this place got my order wrong — twice. Waiting around for 20 minutes at a food cart is just not right, and then when I finally got my food, it just wasn’t very good. Pumpkin curry that came with chicken even though I wasn’t asked about protein, and potstickers that were left out of my order twice. Both were disappointing. When I finally got my food, the guy who took my order had disappeared and sent a kid in his place. No one even bothered to apologize for their mistakes. 3 stars for the food becomes 2, because they need to get it together.

Very inconsistent. Sometimes decent, sometimes awful, but never consistent. How do so many people like this place? Maybe you’re all just so hungry by the time you’ve received your food(because orders at lunch can take up to 30 minutes… seriously) that you any old slop in front of you is delicious. That or you’re one of the people who thinks all Thai food is pad thai and that’s all you ever order. Their tofu is the nasty pre-fried and super spongy kind. Even worse than Poom Pui’s tofu. I would avoid it at all costs. The brown rice is actually more of a porridge than rice, it is so mushy, overcooked and has probably been sitting on heat in a rice cooker for 3 days. A lot of the carts end up with mushy rice around lunch time, but this is by far the mushiest I have ever seen. It was one solid mash that more closely resembled malt-o-meal than anything else. Also, that was white, corn-fed medium spicy, not thai medium spicy. Get it right. That was your last chance, Thai Pasta. Never again.

This is my favorite Thai food cart on the 4th lot. They usually have a weekly special going on, which is always a great deal and SOMUCHFOOD. Maybe too much food… The Oh My God’s are indeed oh my god. Shamelessly fat and happy.

This is the best thai food cart in history. Love LOVE their pumpkin curry and pad Thai. They actually make the food spicy.

I live in Eugene now and miss this cart every day. Whenever I get near Portland, I make a point of stopping at the cart on 4th. I just LOVE the curry, but everything I have tried is good. The portions are large and you can’t beat the price. When I lived in Portland I could get a dish at lunch and it would be enough for lunch and dinner. Great when you are a broke student with no time to cook!

This is my Go-To place for Pad Thai when I’m in downtown. It’s so flavorful and the portions are HUGE! I get two meals out of it, when was that ever a bad thing? You get more than what you pay for.

Food carts – I like them because they’re fast and I can grab something quickly and go back to work. The food here is GREAT. I love the pad thai, the fried rice, the spring rolls. The problem: SLOOOOOOW. Today I waited 40 minutes for rice. So much for fast food.

I love this place for lunch, it takes a while during their busy weekday afternoons but its worth it! Great Pad Se Ew!

My favorite place to get thai food in Downtown Portland. Not sure how authentic it is but they do thai how I like my thai and at a great price(It’s so much food I split it into 2 meals). I usually get the Sen Yai Nam Prik Pao, it’s wide rice noodles with egg, carrot, bell peppers, onions, sprouts, with a thai chili paste. It’s very similar to Pad See Ew but with a lot more flavor. The people who work here are super nice! I forgot my punch card one day, they know I’m a regular so that assured me that next time I’d get double stamped. It’s a the little things. They also have great thai iced tea and at a value compared to some other carts I’ve found.

Pad Thai was actually pretty tasty but seriously, the 20+ minute wait was a tad longer than I would have liked for fast food. Will I come here again? Only if there wasn’t a long wait.

Great tasting food and large portions. You will definitely get your money’s worth at this place. My only gripe is that their service on some days are pretty SLOOOOOW and that ruins my plans on catching the bus without being late for work :/ On the upside, if you bring your own container, you get $ 0.50 off. Also, card charges are extra $ 0.50 to the order.

I regularly enjoy this cart’s offerings. Holding back a star because there’s no mention of where and from whom they source their ingredients.

When I’m in the mood for Thai, Thai Pasta is my go-to over a work lunch break. I’m not particularly adventurous when it comes to Asian food and tend to stick with what I know, though I’m working to change that. I’ve seen them accept personal dishes from the eco-friendly patrons, and their dishes are highly customizable. I always order Pad Kee Mao with chicken, mild-plus(the sweet girl there helped me work out what level of heat would be perfect after a little bit of trial and error), and she ALWAYS recognizes my phone number when I ask for my «regular». I mean, you don’t get any better than that with customer service! Their prices are super-reasonable, usually $ 6.50 for a massive portion that I’ll be snacking on until I go home. The best meals I’ve had from there are when they get it a bit seared, mmmm… I have also tried their Tom Kha, and it was delicious. I like Thai bubble tea, and while they do have Thai tea, your best bet for tapioca pearl teas is a few carts down(at the north end of the block). Otherwise, their Thai tea was great! I’ll be a regular customer of Thai Pasta’s for as long as they’re around!

In the mood for some Thai? This Thai Pasta cart is the best place for Thai Food downtown Portland in the«university» district. I would say its better than Baan Thai if you’re looking for a quick meal. Thai Pasta provides outstanding service and a quick grab-and-go. You can easily snag a meal during a thirty-minute lunch and still have time to finish – maybe. Each plate is pretty hefty, so you definitely get the price you pay for! I recommend the Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and Pad Kee Mao(Drunken Noodles) – but I’m positive you will not be disappointed with the other options!

Ever since Dosirak went dark for the summer(why, why, why?) I’ve been trying new options at the 4th/Hall food carts. Thai Pasta has been my regular go-to in this area since discovering it earlier this summer. I am not what one might call«menu adventurous.» I find something I like, and I order it practically forever. So I’m versed in their house curry with chicken, which is fabulous. The broccoli, carrots, and peppers are all clearly hand-chopped, NOT previously frozen vegetables. The chicken is plentiful and flavorful. Fresh ingredients and yummy curry make visiting this cart a no-brainer.

This place is dangerously delicious, dangerous in that you will go broke for going there too much. I’ve had their Pad Kee Mao and Hawaiian Fried Rice, both of which are fantastic in terms of seasoning and ingredients. On top of that, their Thai Iced Tea is outstanding, while remaining very affordable($ 1.50)! I live very close to this location, and luckily work(and a lack of weekend hours for them) will keep me away enough as to avoid death by Thai. Seriously. Expect long waits during lunch, come early or late. It’s worth it in any case.
