I love this place. The beers are very well chosen, I always have a hard time picking which ones. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The setting is one of my favorite in NE(or heck, all of) Portland. It’s among the comfiest places to sit and have a beer. There are plenty of great food carts in the pod, so we tend to make an event of it when we go. Which is often.

Grabbed a beer… from a food cart thing! What’s not to like? It’s parked in a cute little area with some seating and a stage for life music. It’s simple and straight forward.

Can’t believe I wasn’t the first to review this — I was there the day they opened! It was SO awesome to see a vintage trailer with beer! The best part — it was $ 4 for a cold one while sitting in a lover corner lot with some GREAT jazz music arrange by Peter Qualtere-Burcher. This is the corner to grab some great beer, cheese and more! The best part was I got to sit a pic-nic table with the owners Mom and we chat about her amazing story in life. So grab a seat, have a beer and make a new friend — this is the spot! Happy San Diego Craft Beer Capital(wink wink) loved a beer on the corner!

I’m really stoked about this addition to the food cart pod on 23rd and Alberta ! The only thing I was disappointed with was the fact that 3 out of the 5 beers on tap were IPAs but that’s not the hoppy camper’s fault they are just trying to give the people what they want(lots of India pale ale lovers these days). The guy working was really nice and told me they will be switching it up with the tap selections !

I love several aspects of Portland’s Food Cart culture. One is the wide variety of interesting food and another is clever name. And since, I love my IPAs, the Hoppy Camper drew me in for a look and a «wee pint». There’s also a handful of other trailers on this block of Alberta that serve food, so there’s no need to drink on an empty stomach. In may case, I went for the Cheese Plate to compliment my tasty brew.
