The Upside of Downsizing

This company puts on seminars for seniors and their adult children on the benefits of selling the family home and downsizing. They do not allow attendees to receive a refund for tickets purchased at any time. The 4 presenters at the seminar were all basically giving «infomercials» for themselves. The information provided was very basic and generic. Only enough info provided to make people have questions but no answers were provided. The vendor exhibit was again, people trying to sell goods or services to vulnerable and perhaps overwhelmed (after the minimalistic presentations) seniors who are trying to deal with very complex and time consuming decisions and actions. The need for this type of information by seniors is undeniable and growing by leaps and bounds. But this presentation was a waste of time. It raised more questions and concerns than it answered. I felt sorry for the seniors surrounded by sweet talking vultures.
