Not a fancy place, but the food is good for lunch and the prices are right for what you get. Have not been there for breakfast. The turkey sandwiches are like the day after Thanksgiving, the yakisoba is a good sized serving and very tasty. The reuben is ok. Not sure what quality of meat it is on the reunen, very thin sliced stuff. Stick to the turkey. Tried a latte there and it was good too. They have an actual espresso machine. Customer service is always great. They are very friendly people.

Joanne and Steve are simply the best! This place has great breakfast sandwiches when you are heading to your office. They have great lunch sandwiches as well with fresh roasted turkey every day! They are both so accommodating and wonderfully nice people!

I am so glad I read and paid attention to the other Unilocal reviews praising this restaurant. Otherwise I would have missed this place that I have walked by way too often. Located in the corner of a big concrete building that looks very non-descript inside and out and with a no nonsense name I found this place easy to ignore. Please don’t be fooled by the boring exterior. Finally had lunch here and can’t wait to go back. I choose the turkey dinner and that turned out to be a large serving of dark meat turkey with a scoop of potatoes and stuffing with a roll. Most places give you more stuffing and potatoes and can skimp on the turkey, this places skimped on the filler and was generous with the turkey. My dining partner had a turkey sandwich that looked really good and well-priced. Other things that came out of the kitchen looked equally as good including many non-turkey items. This deli has a little something for every taste and lunch need. If you have room be sure to check out the cookies at the front counter. Soft, large and they looked house made. I don’t know that for a fact but it sure seemed that way. I noticed that food came out quick and a lot of people were getting things to go. There is a good amount of seating inside for those that want to linger. The owners who run the place are a pleasure to deal with, it always makes me happy to hand over my money to nice people.

Omg I love Turkey Place!!! Been here a few times and every time I come, I wished I lived closer! It’s a bit out of the way from Pioneer Square, but when I’m in Portland and I’m craving a good ol’ turkey sandwich, I make my way here. What makes everything here special is the quality. I first tried the turkey caesar salad and was expecting deli meat but they use actual chunks of turkey, just like the good stuff after Thanksgiving! The portion was huge but it was so delicious I devoured the whole thing. My favorite go-to sandwich is the turkey club. Thick slices of roasted turkey, crispy bacon, fresh veggies, and the most fantastic cranberry spread between whole grain bread… MMMmmmmMMMM! Try it, you won’t regret it! I also got to try one of their breakfast sandwiches – the croissant sandwich with egg, sausage and gooey melted cheddar cheese! The price is very reasonable, considering the size of the portions. The sandwiches, wraps, and salads are all $ 6.95 or less and there are bentos and specials available as well. If you want some coffee with your meal, they have a full café menu that is at least $ 2 cheaper than Starbucks. I just discovered that this mom and pop joint freshly roasts their turkey EVERYDAY! No wonder the turkey is so amazing! The place IS called Turkey Place for a reason… and they live up to its name! :)

As far as these«fresh Turkey» deli’s go, this is the best one in the south downtown area. Their prices are very reasonable, the food is good and fresh, and their salads are quite filling. The people are very nice and they use a punch card system; buy 10 get a meal free. I’m my opnion, its MUCH better than Downtown Freddy Brown’s a couple blocks away…

I just had a breakfast burrito from here, the sausage variety. It was delicious and their coffee is fresh and strong, just perfect to get you going on a Monday.

This place is amazing. My coworkers and I endearingly refer to it as «Turkey Palace» or even«Turkey Pal» for short. They have a great selection of fresh fruits and veggies, and the cooked items are also really good(especially the bagels, breakfast burritos, and boiled eggs). Something I appreciate is that their hot sauce selection is always on point. The coffee and smoothie drinks I have had are all delicious– and they even remember what we generally drink! The best part? The owners. They are courteous, efficient, and I recently found out they have hearts of gold. One of them makes a pot of soup to feed to the homeless every weekend. I usually bring breakfasts, lunches, and coffee to work from home but I almost unfailingly go to the Turkey Place when I don’t.

Turkey Place isn’t just your run of the mill downtown café. The staff is super friendly and really make their customers feel welcome. Describing the food options, I tell people it’s like the day after Thanksgiving. I order the Turkey Plus box lunch, which returns a generously portioned turkey sandwich with lettuce, stuffing and cranberry. I know they have a choice of bread, but I like it with white bread. That, combined with a fountain drink, chips and cookie make it worth the $ 8. They offer salads as well as a large variety of deli sandwiches. The restaurant is very clean and brightly lit, and the music isn’t very loud at all, so it’s nice to dine in. The coffee, breakfast and tea I can’t speak to because I haven’t tried it, but I’ve seen other patrons order it and leave satisfied. If you’re looking for something quick and near the office, this place will definitely do the trick.

This place is across the street from where I work. I love turkey so I thought I would give it a try. They have sandwiches, salads, bento, a big turkey plate. I love Thanksgiving, so I ordered the turkey plate. The turkey itself was pretty good but the rest of the plate was kind of bland. The gravy and the stuffing did not have any type of seasoning in it making it not worth the calories. I might go back and try sandwich, but I will be passing on the turkey plate.

The Turkey Bento, with the option to go with the Gravy is the best, low sodium. What’s better than good ol gravy over rice… mmmmmm. Healthy portions. Veggies are nice and crisp. Not over done. Very warm good comfort eating. Get you T-day fix here. Owner and staff are very courteous and friendly.
