First time attempting a juice cleanse: I indulged on sugar and fried foods throughout the holiday season and decided to kick off the year with some sort of cleanse in an effort to kick this habit. I have always had trouble sticking with any program that limits eating food. I was not organized enough to preorder my cleanse online and I live Portland part time. On a very cold and snowy morning(1÷3÷16) I stopped by Green Leaf on my way out of town and had them make me a fresh juice for now and I then grabbed three days worth the of «pre-made» juice from the fridge(they had me check the dates because you need to consume the drinks within three days of them being made). So randomly picked what I thought I would like and didn’t follow their specific plan, but the results were amazing! I thought I would starve or be hangery… I felt great! So if you are thinking about starting a cleanse and have a fear of feeling deprived, this is the cleanse for you!

Finally tried this food cart on 3rd ave just down from Kells. I had the Pad Kam?(sorry, forgot already, i’ll go back and get the name right) with Chicken. Awesome! Everything freshed cooked, lots of food, just $ 5. Excellent cart well worth supporting. I will be back for more!

Visiting in town from San Francisco, and this is the only food stand that looked worth trying, so far. Green Leaf has only been in business since last month, but I can’t wait to go back again. We only tried one item, and it only took one item to leave a favorable impression. This isn’t just acceptable street food; I would love to order this out of a brick and mortar. Crispy Rice with Chicken or Tofu. We saw them throw some irregular shaped lumps into the deep fat fryer. That’s just the first step. Then they mush it up, producing both crispy and tender pieces of rice. The rice is stir-fried with chicken or tofu and typical Thai seasonings; finished with spicy fish sauce(a bit too much) and served with large leaves of green leaf lettuce. You scoop the mixture into each leaf and eat, taco style. Gotta go back and try more stuff.
