Mediocre food that’s very overpriced. The mushroom risotto tasted like it came from a box. The spaghetti was great, but both meals very small portions for $ 19 and $ 21(we left still a bit hungry). The service was friendly but very small and no real ambiance. We had a certificate and waitress cashed us out and took remaining without asking first. We would have liked to get dessert to go and left a cash tip. The whole experience was very disappointing

This restaurant has so much to offer. A very warm, inviting atmosphere inside and out. A great sitting area with a fire pit outside to enjoy. A very extensive wine list with a staff that can make recommendations to make choosing the right wine for your meal easy. No expense spared on the quality of ingredients in the food which is evident in the flavor and unique options. I found portion sizes to be generous, prices very reasonable. I have eaten here many times, each time it has been a great experience. I would highly recommend it. Don’t forget to try the cookies!

Wow! This place is awesome! I took the wife here for dinner this past weekend and we had a great time. The food was amazing! I had the Half Rack of Lamb and while I don’t eat lamb regularly, I just may have to now. The atmosphere of the restaurant was beautiful and I can’t wait for warmer weather to enjoy the outdoor dining I’ve heard about from my friends.

Not a bad place to eat if you live close. Very small. Had the buffalo burger which was really dry. My wife had the salmon which was amazing. Overall I doubt I’ll be back, their prices are high enough you can go to many better places for the same money.

We had a very nice happy hour. The kale salad had lots of kale and was very tasty. Try the avocado fries. I had the blackberry pear cider and I really liked it. The bartender was very friendly and courteous. This is a, great little neighborhood place for drinks and food.

Our dining experience on a Sunday evening was disappointing, both due to the service and the food. We did not eat either of our orders. Hers was a pasta dish that she did not eat after tasting a few bites. It was bland, almost no flavor and very heavy on the pasta sauce. Mine was a kale salad with beets. Well, that meant a large plateful of kale and maybe one smallish beet cut into quarters. I did not eat that, either. One can only eat so much kale even in a salad! The waiter, seemingly not experienced, apologized for the food. When we commented that the bread, at least was good, he offered to bring us more. Somehow a dinner of bread, good though it was, did not appeal to us! The restaurant is attractive so it gets one star for design. But design is not enough to attract a hungry customer.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner evening here on a weeknight and it was a wonderful experience. The outdoor patio is beautiful, classy, and elegant. We started off with deep fried avocado with Indian spiced ketchup, so delicious and plentiful for two people. Had the Rack of Lamb and Mushroom Risotto entrees. The lamb was so juicy, tender, and had enough fat that the whole thing just melts in your mouth, yum! The mushroom risotto had a variety types of mushroom, plenty of mushrooms in it and is very hearty for a risotto, taste is phenomenal! Service was wonderful!

Came here for dinner on a weekend and was surprised by how dead it was when we showed up. It’s also very small. Before I get to the food… to start it off I agree with all the reviews saying the service isn’t great here. The servers were a little awkward. I was asked if I was done with my meal and I asked the server«yes, and can I also get a box and a dessert menu as well?» and she responded«sure, would you guys like a couple dessert menu’s?» …alrighty then. So we ordered the Brussels sprouts with bacon and avocado fries to start. Both were delicious. I highly recommend both. For dinner we ordered Halibut and Scallops. Both were cooked perfectly and very tasty so I’m surprised by the comments saying this place is overpriced. Though we don’t fine dine often ourselves I believed we got quality food for what it was worth. Finished it off with a goat cheese/lemon soufflé cake. I’d recommend it if you’re really into goat cheese, because it was very cheesy, not very sweet and a little dry. Overall come if you want some good food, but don’t expect good service.

We went here for Father’s Day brunch and were really sorry we passed over a reservation at Meriwether’s for this place. I was looking for something different and this place seemed fun and a bit on the upscale side and closer to home. The menu looked like it had some really fun and tempting options so we decided to try it. We got there and there were only 2 other people but the service was still slow and lacking. The menu was nowhere close to what was published online and the selection was quite limited and mundane. The food as a finished product was average at best. My 10 daughter ordered french toast and honestly it was the same french toast she could have made herself at home. The tables are all at a slant because the patio is sloped and the beverages slide across the table. The only thing on the upscale side of this experience was the bill. So many better options for great food with a fun atmosphere in Portland.

I absolutely enjoy my dining experience here every time. The food is awesome, the ambiance relaxing, yet sophisticated, and the service friendly. Their wine list is extensive and they offer 2,4, or 6 oz pours which is nice for trying new wines. The outdoor eating area is lovely!

Ehhh. Way out of the city, and everything we are here was pretty average. For the prices I just don’t feel like the trek is worth it. We just got some apps and none of them were really outstanding. Fried avocado bites: avocado was very unripe, brussels: cooked on the underdone side. Cheeseboard: ive made better cheese boards at home, a bunch of crumbled up pita chips were thrown on there like they just looked around the kitchen to put on there. After the apps we decided we definitely did not want to order entrees.

So nice to have a small wine bar and restaurant in the neighborhood. Very friendly service, happy hour is great with $ 5 house wines, the happy hour food selection is also great and it includes avocado fries and kale salad, etc. It was too hot to sit outside when I visited but next time I will def take advantage of the huge patio!

Great little wine bar tucked away in the Forest Park neighborhood. Came in around 1:45, not realizing they stopped service between 2:00 and 3:00. The server was very accomodating, and even though I expected to just have apps and a drink or two, we ended up having brunch. I ordered the salmon stuffed avocado, and hubby ordered the eggs benedict. Both were really good! I should have taken a photo, but we were both hungry and dug in before I thought of it, didn’t think y’all would appreciate a photo of our half eaten meal. The server(I wish I could remember her name…) and the Chef,(whose name I do remember) Jason, were very nice. We sat outside, it was a beautiful day, and aside for a couple of obnoxious pre-teens hanging out near us for a bit, we had a very relaxing time. We will be coming back for dinner, and live music on a Wednesday night, some time very soon.

We had dinner here last week and it was a fairly good experience. The price was a bit high, but the food was plated well and tasted good. The décor was a bit odd, but it almost worked for them. There are flat screen TVs with frames. One of them however seems to be one they have there only to advertise movies. I assume they get paid to have it there? It was the reason I went with 3 stars instead of 4. It really killed the mood.

I live down the street and have gone for both brunch and dinner. Overall not a bad place. Small indoor seating area but a large outdoor patio with a firepit. Only giving it 4 stars because it is somewhat overpriced. Meals are about what you would expect in price however the wine is marked up quite a bit. No simple house wine or happy hour wine, but wines you could probably get at the grocery store for a lot cheaper. If they lowered their prices I would be sure to go back more.

I don’t write reviews but this dinner compelled me to start writing. My wife and I went on a Saturday night at around 8pm. It turns out that there was only two other people there(a couple sitting at the bar). We sat down and five minutes later we were the only two in the restaurant. We ordered a grilled ceasar salad, carrot ginger soup, a side of brussel sprouts, the salmon entrée for sharing and a baked Alaska for desert. To simplify the review, see each item below: –The grilled caesar salad didn’t appear grilled — just maybe a little warm. No indication that it was grilled(no char to the leaves) and zero grill flavor. Apart from the lack of grilling, it just wasn’t flavorful. –The carrot ginger soup had no taste of ginger and was lukewarm. The consistency also didn’t remind me of a soup — more of steamed carrots partly pureed. It felt more like the baby food I’d make my young son. It would have been fine to use as a small side to an entrée but not a ten dollar bowl of soup. –The side of brussel sprouts were barely warm and I thought they needed to cook longer. They were large and you couldn’t cut through them without a steak knife. They lacked in flavor and just had a sprinkling of what seemed like paprika on them. –Our salmon dinner came after a bit of waiting(which was a surprise considering we were the only couple in the restaurant). The salmon was cooked well, but I was disappointed with all the distracting flavors on the plate. The salmon was heavily encrusted with what I think was hazelnuts, and there was a very tart berry smear on top of it. The coconut rice was okay but really dense, and there was a nice side of edamame cooked with onions(possibly pan fried) that was piping hot(the only thing that came hot). –The Baked Alaska had a delicious layer of meringue on the outside but was frozen solid at the main center. It was challenging to eat and I had to put some real effort using a fork into breaking it up in manageable bite sized pieces. Granted, I’ve only been here once so it’s sometimes difficult to get a true sense of how things are with so few visits but I won’t be going back. If I’m spending $ 80 on a dinner and my wife and I are sharing an entrée I expect a certain degree of good. The food is under seasoned and poorly executed. Even with only one visit, there were just too many things that didn’t go well for me to justify going again whether it was expensive or not. An added sting was that this was my wife’s birthday dinner.

I’m baffled by the negative comments below: –Wine selection is phenomenal and various prices to accommodate anyone’s budget. –Every entrée is prepared to order and all products in entrée is not only fresh, but local. –Owner is constantly working and you’d never guess he’s managing the establishment.
