SA in costumer service has got to be the rudest person I have ever delt with. I bought spray paint and it had no sprayer on it so totaly unusable wallmart is not close to my home so I have had it a while because it would cost me more in gas then what I get back for the return. SA he said I can’t return it. I said you have to be flippen kidding me its a default in the manufacturing I have original receipt and everything it’s it’s never been used as you can tell. I told him I want to speak with a manager. He goes off in a tizzy filleting his arms telling me not to be rude and talking under his breath other things I was like what I am not being rude I was trying to talk to him as he was walking a way from me he mumbling you’re rude Ect. He came back grab my spray paint slammed it on the other side of the counter and says you will stand over here as he helped someone else. I waited and waited and waited and asked him did you get a manager and he walked off and finally went and got one as he’s was rolling his eyes. I have never really cared for Walmart and this just tops the cake. I would way rather spend more money and be around way classier people

This is the worst Walmart I’ve ever been to. Absolutely the worst!
Usually it’s a slow experience going to any Walmart, but this one is predictably slow with horrible attitudes. I’ll never go here again, it should be shut down.

I was stopped at the door by a greeter at 10pm because I was bringing in a return. I was told that Walmart does not take returns after 9pm. I thought the guy was joking because there’s no way a store would be open until 12am but shut their customer service down 2 hours early. I returned home with the item I was planning on returning only to pack up the rest of the items I bought the night before. I’m going to return everything I bought and buy similar items at Fred Meyer or Target where they have better customer service. I’ll pay a few dollars more to be treated like my business actually matters.

Absolutely beyond worthless customer service and irresponsibility.

I liked it. This Walmart was massive. I only went there a couple of times during my vacation to Portland, but this branch was certainly much better than the one located at Hayden Meadows.

This place is always busy and a mess. I went to get light bulbs for my car, and had to search for 10 minutes to find someone, then wait for them to find someone else, who only complained about working with people. I don’t have high hopes for Walmart, but this location is subpar for even what I expect from Walmart.

Never thought I’d live right next to a Walmart Supercenter… but I do!
The Walmart name carries some baggage, especially in a «cool» place like Stumptown/​Lents. But really, it’s just a big version of… retail. You’ll find several other huge retailers in this shopping area.
Of course I shop with small independent stores too!
The groceries are priced well.
Produce can be a great bargain here, or it can suck. You just have to… look … at that produce. For instance, they have limes at a good price, but they are not as nice as the Fred Meyer limes, they make less juice. So, it’s not just the price.
Bakery dept, fair.
Repeat after me, «Not all Walmart prices are good prices.»
The negatives, lines can be long and slow, we regularly give up and try later. Not because the workers are slow, it’s because the crowd can get large and never ending. Rule #1 at a monster store is, plan your shopping times. Saturday or Sunday may not be the best day! That goes for returns too, do it at a non busy time, unless you just like retail abuse!
Don’t forget, you might save time by checking out at electronics or cosmetics.
Most of the employees are actually very nice. Some of them are young professionals, some are seniors, some seem entry level… some are country people, some are city folk, just as you would expect.
On another note, we’ve watched some exciting shoplifter events here, the security dudes looked like NFL players!

So I walked into the bathroom and there was a guy masturbating in the stall with the door open and he was making very sexual sounds. Other then that this place has a great selection of produce at affordable prices.

The people that work here are incompetent, backwoods, rednecks. I purchased a Mainstays computer desk today, and before I proceeded to the check-​out line, I asked 2 associates if any tools were required for assembly. Confidently, they both replied with a «Nope! You should be good to go!», and eluded to the necessary tools already being in the box… so I left, foolishly trusting their knowledge.
Lo and behold, I take everything out of the box, lay it out, open the instruction manual, and of course… a hammer and screwdriver (NOT included) are required for assembly. Usually, I’d have them handy, but I JUST moved into a new apartment, and haven’t received my shipped tools yet…
On top of that, one of the associates couldn’t even tell me what hardware comes in a box of their mirrors, or what I needed to hang them in my apartment. These people lack serious knowledge of the products they’re selling, and obviously haven’t been trained properly. Terrible customer service. I guess Wal-​Mart will just hire anybody nowadays.

Worst Walmart! They r extremely low staff that it’s clear they are over working them. I went to the deli and had to be put on a waiting list because the poor girl was alone, and there were 5 orders before mine. That’s not right! This is a busy area, which makes this a busy store, and all they have is 4 checkouts open… Like really?! Lines taking over the whole isle, then one of the cashiers have to go on their lunch, so instead of opening a new register, they just close the register down and make it to be only 3 cashiers. I hate going here. It’s a nightmare!

Will never come back again! Some person was busy shooting up in the bathroom and dropped his needle but an employee who saw it refused to say something.

The store is always cluttered with pallets of boxes of merchandise, and can hardly maneuver through the store. Workers are never friendly, and never ask if I’m finding what I need, or offer assistance. Won’t be going back.

I’ve had to rethink this after a more recent visit while visiting a merchant near, but not in, Eastport Plaza.
The mere fact that the deli is there is definitely convenient, but Winco’s deli offers up better sliced meats, cheeses, and prepared salads. That said, I won’t buy sliced meat here anymore, having done so a couple of times out of convenience. (-.50 points)
Then, the self check-​out area here is nonexistent. I had asked about that before and was told something like they ‘had had problems with it.’ I think that was a nice way to put it. Then, I recently saw an article that corporate Walmart’s bottom line has been impacted by shrinkage, which, again, is a nice way to term shoplifting, and that it is attributable to customers and employees. So, there is no self-​check out area here, yet there is one down the road in the Happy Valley-​Clackamas store. But I understand. (-.50 points)
With there not being self check-​out, there are more quick check lines for those with under 10 or 20 items. They move slowly. I was watching a parallel line and it, too, was moving slowly. (-.50 points)
Given that it’s in Eastport Plaza, the sensory overload at this store can be a bit much for a brief shopping excursion. (-.50 points)
There you go. Walmart Supercenter in Eastport Plaza is now, as computed from scratch, a 3 star, just a-​ok sort of place in my estimation.

wow. I try NOT to go to walmarts. but this one is by the post office and the boxes are cheap in here. so is the wages too I am sure. I have had some serious issues in this one. EVERY time I go in. from being accosted in the lot by people begging to outrageous white trash bitching at the checker for something that they have nothing to do with. but taking 20 minutes to ring me up with only two people in front of me in the express lane? was a bit much. UGH

Didnt realize walmart could be this terrible

I’ve been on a wild goose-​chase looking for a certain item, having been led astray by the Walmart website, telling me that it is in-​stock at a location, driving there, and then finding out it’s not.
Being fed up, I decided to call ahead. Reasonable, right? An effort to save time.
Called. Was greeted by a cheery voice. Redirected and put on Hold for the Department I needed. Proceeded to wait 5 minutes. Hung up.
Never wait longer than 5 Minutes, they’re bound to forget you’re there.
Called again. Same cheery voice. Redirected and placed on Hold for the same Department. Another 5 Minutes… Nothing. Hung up. Mildly agitated.
Driving, I could’ve been half-​way there by now.
Called a 3^rd time. Same cheery voice–
I stop her from redirecting me and ask if she can help, since there is obviously no one in the Department I need. She explains that she has also noticed my long wait time, and contacted that Department for me, seeing what the hold up was.
She said They claimed that I had hung up right as They got to the phone, but that if I call them now, They’ll pick up immediately. I thank her and ask to be redirected…
I’m put on hold.
10. Minutes. Later.
Ready to speak to a Manager, I move to hang up, having given this Employee enough time for Me to have personally driven out there and done this insignificant task myself, when finally, someone answers.
Trying not to yell, I tell him what I’m looking for. He mumbles something, and…
Puts me on hold.
I can’t help but laugh.
Another 5 minutes pass.
Abruptly, the cheery voice is back.
An apology about the wait, from her, and the info that they do not have what I seek.
The End.
Seeing all these other negative reviews regarding customer service, I see no point in following through with my call to the management…
But don’t worry, 82^nd Avenue Wal-​Mart, you’ll hear no more guff from me…
Because I will never return.

Every time I visit their electronics section, I am lucky to receive third world service, if any at all.

If you like «people of wal mart,» this is definitely the place for you.
The grocery prices really aren’t any better than Fred Meyer. The produce is questionable. I’m not brave enough to try the meat.
There is a subway in the store. Sometimes they check your receipt when you leave and sometimes they don’t.
The optician here has been here a very long time. When I didn’t have insurance I went here for over ten years. The selection wasn’t great but the service provided by the Dr. and the staff was very good. I’ve also had glasses repaired here that were purchased elsewhere.

Not too fond of this establishment, but when you’re trying to live cheap, it’s often the go-​to stop for a lot of things.
I come here for cosmetics and my cleansers. It sucks that you now must pay for all of it at the cosmetics register due to what I’m assuming is excessive theft. I feel like I’m being watched when I’m down that aisle. Don’t assume that every person in that aisle is a thief. I’m a good citizen who volunteers, so back off with those accusatory eyes.
Everything’s always such a mess when I’m there. Clothes on the floor and random products dumped to where they don’t belong. I don’t blame the associates too much because hey, they are working at Walmart and are probably being underpaid. But still, it’s a job and at least make it a decent environment to shop for its customers.
Avoid if you can, but if you need to come here to shop like I do, I feel ya.
