I had to pinch myself, just to increase my endorphins, before entering. Too much estrogen going on in here. Using my Wife’s Christmas list, I skated through the the cooking section. Pots and pans of every color. Mesmerizing. All the tools of the trade that you need.(Or mostly don’t need). Working the store in an «anti clockwise pace», I passed by the sleep section, drapes, towels, cleaning supplies. It’s all mind boggling. I feel weak as I spend more time here. Name brands and prices all blurry to me. So much here. I feel like Frodo on a quest. Near the end of the cashiers are these«things» that steam. Really. Humidifiers. Wheres the line for an open register? Hurry, Please. Made it. In my Rover, I reach for Van Halen –album #1, and crank it up! I’ll return in some time. I always do.

I have to share my terrible experience with their manager named Bob! I paid for an oversized pillow that would not fit into their paper bags, inquired about the price of another item at the same register and proceeded to the exit when he suddenly stopped me and asked me if I had paid for the item — so, I looked like a thief who tried to walk away with a big pillow! Nice! After I looked at him in disbelief and said ‘of course I did!’, he demanded to see the receipt, mumbled something like ‘I did not see you pay’ after he saw receipt and then walked away without an apology! Yes, he ‘did not see me pay’ because he was not present at the register! Does that give him right to interrogate every single customer who didn’t pay in his presence? He was way too intimidating and, on top of that, he humiliated me in front of other customers, so I went back to the register and returned the item and got their district manager’s contact info — he did call right away, was very apologetic and assured me that they do not have a policy that requires checking receipts prior to leaving the store and that Bob will be ‘retrained’ — whatever that means?! I’ve never been so humiliated in my entire life! I just wished my husband was there with me, being a woman alone, I was an easy target for him. There is another negative review of this manager on Unilocal — I think it is about the time BB& B district office takes some actions against him before he ruins the reputation of this store. Based on this experience, I had stopped shopping at BB& B and will advise all of my friends to do so!

Bob the manager was WONDERFUL! So helpful and accommodating with a super weird bunch of all clad pots I had to return. Very kind to his employees as well –yay!

Super depressing location — inside Mall 205. That’s enough reason to skip it. Sparsely employed, so finding an employee to help you is a challenge. They had the flat and fitted sheets I wanted, but no standard size pillowcases to match. Left without buying anything. Won’t go back. Like every Bed Bath & Beyond, it feels like a remnant leftover from the ‘90s: low to medium quality items overpriced and stocked floor-to-ceiling under harsh fluorescent lighting. No, thanks.

I had purchased a cut resistant glove a week ago from this location. I’ve used it about three times as it was intended to be used(mandolin slicing, holding a peeler, etc.). I noticed today that there was a cut in the glove. Since I had only recently purchased it, I was disappointed that the glove became damaged and torn so easily. I brought the glove back hoping for a return. The woman working there with the long weave was rather rude to me. She spoke loudly in a judgmental tone, «What were you using this glove for?!» She looked irritated. Taken a bit back as I was not expecting to justify myself, I told her I used it with a mandolin slicer. She sighed and said, «Well, you have to be gentle with this glove» before proceeding to process the exchange. Maybe I’m reading too much into what she said but I disliked the implication that I was abusive and negligent with the cut resistant glove. Um, it’s meant to be used when you are operating sharp kitchen tools after all.

Why do I do this to myself? I guess my lack of planning ahead takes me to stores like Bed Bath and Beyond. I need something now, and can’t wait for Amazon to deliver it in two days, so I drive over to The Most Depressing Mall In Portland. And what does it net me? Most of the time, returns. Everything that can be had here can be had elsewhere. It’s mostly mass-market stuff, most of which is fairly cheaply made. The place is packed to the ceiling with stuffs. Things. Many retail. I’ve shopped here numerous times due to the proximity to my house, and the fact that a lot of what they deal in here comes from an industry that’s notoriously dishonest(read: anything having to do with bedding) makes it all the more frustrating. In a market segment where thread counts are outright lied about, «All Cotton» bedspreads are stuffed with polyester, and various goods are rebranded ten ways to Sunday, it’s hard to find anything genuine. While the folks here do seem plenty genuine, I just can’t count on the merch itself. Sure, I could go to some local bedding store and get fleeced(see what I did there?) but when it comes to most of this stuff, I should really stick to quality kitchenware stores, buy alternatives from local manufacturers, or just go online and get the same thing. I’ve purchased bedsheets, duvet covers, bedspreads, skillets, organizing supplies and all sorts of stuff here, and never really been all that satisfied. At least not any more satisfied than I would be at any other big box stores. The layout is cluttered and hard to navigate. Things are organized but it’s so packed that everything feels crammed together. And there’s so much snake oil here amongst the truly good products that it can be a downright herculean task to tell the difference between the two. Also the fake scents… they overwhelm me. Every time I walk in I can’t wait to escape. No offense to the local folks who work here or manage this store. Your staff is great. I just can’t hang with the products and the layout is tough too. But the return policy is rock solid, and there’s something to be said for that.

Prices here are comparable to other stores who are selling the same item. I get BB&B circular from the mail every once in a while, always with a coupon attached at the back. When I went to the cashier to pay for my purchase, she saw the $ 5 coupon on the back of the circular I was holding. The coupon have expired almost seven weeks ago. She said they honor expired coupons if it came from the mail. I’m happy to know that. Thank you BB&B for the very helpful staff, so nice! I came out of the store with a smile on my face.

Always helpful staff here and nice about returns. Such a depressing mall but I like that it is close and I always end up at home depot so that’s convenient. Never buy anything here without the coupons. They must mark up everything to make up for allowing the use of multiple coupons in one visit even if expired.

The staff is nice. The manager is a piece of something, if not snot. We asked him a question; he avoided the question as much as possible. I rephrased the question, and he still avoided the question. I needed a new toothbrush because my old Sonicare broke. I need to brush my teeth. I’ve been doing quite a few Unilocal reviews on restaurants and I need to keep my teeth clean for more reviews down the line. I saw on the Bed Bath & Beyond’s website that they had rebates. I wanted to know which items had a rebate offer because I forgot to print out that list at home. I asked for a copy from the manager. He said he had a rebate reference sheet, but refused to look up any item for me or lend me a copy of it until I come up with the product I wanted to purchase. I asked him if the rebate offer was advertised next to the item on the shelves, and he said perhaps, but he wasn’t sure. Thanks for nothing. I hope he treats his staff better. The staff is friendly and helpful; what you normally get at a Bed Bath and Beyond. We shopped at this Bed Bath and Beyond because we were in the area. We usually go to the one in Beaverton. This store is located in a mall with ample parking.

Pretty big store, easy to find parking. People that work there were pretty helpful although one of them rang up our items wrong. Good thing I checked my bill. One thing I dislike about this store is that there are for sale signs everywhere and they always show these incredibly low prices but they are always for something like the worlds tiniest face cloth. But, besides that, you can find pretty much anything you need there. We found a shower clock for Paul which was an awesome find. Big tip, if you forget your 20% coupon or $ 5 off coupon they let you go back with the receipt and will give you the discount. That is awesome. The store itself is 3.5 stars I guess. I hate it but yet find myself there quite often. I do love the wide range of colors that they have of towels. Man I am boring, right?
