I think the salespeople were drunk today. One burst into my dressing room and was totally embarrassed but instead of leaving she tried to make conversation. Then when I was paying, another salesperson interrupted the guy ringing me up to ask if I wanted a sticker. Very bizarre! If I didn’t really need something for an event I would have left without buying anything because it was so awkward.

While watching the Today Show on Monday Morning, an ad for White House Black Market featured stirrup pants. WHAT??? My response, not unlike that of John McEnroe, was«you cannot be serious.» Rather than pitch a fit and throw my purse or something(due to lack of tennis racket), I got on my high horse and went over to the shop to establish that this could not be true. After taking a look around at the sales racks(per Tamara C’s recommendation) in this quite beautiful space, a sales clerk(once again I didn’t get her name; I have to stop this or I’m going to get fired from Unilocal) greeted me in a very nice way. After intense questioning, she gave up the info that indeed stirrup pants(or what we used to call stretch pants) were back in style and were on order for their store. It was true –dagnabbit! Well, no John McEnroe fits over this, I guess, but really no stirrup or stretch pants for me either. However, I would come back again to look at the sales racks again without a doubt. The regularly-priced racks hold some great items which are just a little too high for my not-hurled pocketbook. I also found the young woman who helped me to have superb customer service skills.

Shop the sales racks. Regularly priced items seem overpriced to me. If I am particularly in love with something, I have been known to buy merchandise at full price and hang on to my receipt and get a price adjustment. They have a 14 day price adjustment policy. This is a little risky but has generally been a pretty safe bet for me as the merchandise seems to turn over rather quickly. Another perk that I was recently reminded of is my 10% discount. Since I have done quite a bit of shopping over the years, I’ve racked up well over $ 300.00 in purchases. Once you sign up as a frequent buyer and you reach that $ 300.00 mark, you are forever eligible for 10% off all purchases, including sale items. The White House Black Market out at The Streets of Tanasbourne that I used to shop at is no longer. I was rather pleased to see this one open up in Pioneer Place as this one is closer and more convenient. Actually, this might be a dangerous thing…
