Standard stuff the food is fresh but nothing sbove average. The noodles are not as good as other designation Ramen places nearby. Pricing is above average as well.

Do NOT go here for any reason. My boyfriend and I were discussing the merits of going to the burger boogaloo, a garage rock festival in Oakland, and we were asked to leave. We were confused because we hadn’t done anything, and then suddenly an irate couple with a toddler accosted us for talking in the next booth, and it was obvious that the teenage waiter automatically took their side. Move to the suburbs or back where you came from. I shouldn’t have to keep a private conversation completely Disney at 10pm in the city. Ridiculous.

Food is good but they need to get more staff on Saturdays. It’s always the 1 poor guy trying to run around and help everybody.

There’s a reason I go here almost weekly. It’s not the best Sushi in town, it’s not the hippest place. It is convenient, the staff is always friendly, and they have a roll called The KFC. If you’re not a big fish fan, of which I’m not, a roll with fried chicken, avocado and cream cheese really hits the spot. They have a Happy Hour until 5:30 daily, with a large selection of rolls on discount, which makes this spot even more attractive. The food is average+, but I enjoy it enough to keep coming back. Good prices, nice options, worth the trip.

Horrible experience ordering to go. Once I ordered the sushi, I waited over 45 mins for the food and it never came. After I watched them serve a couple that had gotten there after me, I left. No one let me know the wait would take longer than expected additionally no one ever checked in to let me know how it was going. I just stood there for 45 mins and never got any food. So I left. How long is one person supposed to wait? Not going back.

Apps were delicious. Happy Hour when they open means more sushi than you can eat for $ 40. Staff are prompt and friendly. Presentation is impeccable, and the kimchee tofu is to die for.

I understand that Yuki Japanese Restaurant has good sushi.. .but I really wouldn’t be able to offer an opinion on that since I’m not a sushi fan at all. HOWEVER, I do like other Japanese food though, and I can confidently say that Yuki’s dinners are delicious. I especially like tempura and anything teriyaki. Of course, these items(as well as many others) are offered as individual dinner entrees, but I like that they have different combination dinners on the menu in which I can get a variety of things. My favorite combination consists of: teriyaki New York steak, yakitori(which are skewers of teriyaki chicken), and tempura(with a combination of shrimp and veggies). These items, along with a couple of side dishes, are served on a Japanese bento-style box/tray.. .which makes for a nice presentation. You also get miso soup, sliced cucumber salad, and rice with your meal. A special shout-out about the teriyaki New York steak: it is SO tender and flavorful that sometimes I’ll forego the combination and just get the steak as a main entrée. Well, whichever I order, I know it’ll always be good.

Vegas and Texas rolls are delicious, no question. However, when your menu says that an item comes with 10 rolls, and you only serve your customer 5, and play it of by saying«It must be a typo», that’s pretty shady. Even after we confronted our server with the actual menu, he still refused to own the mistake. Typically a server in this situation would involve a manager to resolve the problem. Ours proceeded to be standoffish and brought us the check not long after. Not promising this is an experience that youI’ll have, but I don’t appreciate the way my boyfriend and I were treated and won’t be returning again.

Really liked the old fashioned, simple Japanese flavor of this place. Been searching for one like it in Portland for two years. There are many like this in San Francisco that I used to go to, for example on 9thAVE near Golden Gate Park. Simple, good hot Japanese food Such as Nabayaki udon and beef sukiyaki.. Will be trying sushi next time … Had just one simple roll on my first visit.

I brought my mom here over Christmas time after we were done holiday shopping at Barnes & Noble. The service was good and the food was delicious. I’m not sure why the place was empty — it should have been more busy with the quality of the food.

Great happy hour with solid sushi. It’s not amazing but definitely solid. I would say you definitely get what you pay for. The service is also always on point. I would patronize this place more frequently if it were closer to where I live.

I’ve become so hooked on this place, I come about twice a week and just can’t stay away! First of all I love their happy hour menu that has everything 30% off before 5:30, I’m able to stuff myself with sushi for around $ 20, is this real life?! Secondly, this place has, hands down, the most fresh sweet hamachi I’ve ever had, and it’s my favorite. Their rolls are all very good too.

Food was just ok. Miso soup is a premix, very disappointing. Rolls are good and well priced as well, a reason to go back. Chicken Katsu was bland and served with bag lettuce mix, disappointing. The waiter who served us was soft spoken and hard to communicate with, ended up ordering something extra because of it. Overall I don’t think we’ll be returning. But if you want a well priced variety of rolls and you’re in the area, then I recommend this restaurant(but you won’t be blown away).

Great atmosphere and prices, only 3 stars because sushi is average in my opinion. I ate for lunch and will come back at dinner to give it another chance.

Honestly, all of the food that I ordered from this restaurant was below even the most basic«edible» standard. I ordered hamachi. It tasted like soap. I ordered seaweed salad. It tasted like seaweed, and not really even a little bit like sesame. I received miso soup with an order to be mentioned below. It was inedible. I ordered yakisoba with chicken. It was bland. My co-eater mentioned it tasting like cinnamon and white sugar. I ordered a beef donburi — it consisted of a thick, overly-sweet gravy with potatoes and carrots, sliced, unappealing beef, and white rice. No scallions, no anything else. I ordered gyoza. They could have easily come from a frozen package. Overall, I was and am wholly disappointed with this experience.

Awesome food and a great happy hour but they are often understaffed and the lights above the tables are blinding. I know it might sound a bit silly but if they got dimmer lights I would eat there a lot more.

Try the hwe dup bap(Korean style chirashi) it’s delicious. It’s a friendly spot where the fish is fresh and tasty. Recommended to me by the guys at the Marriott to try. Good choice and I’d definitely go back there. It’s in a decent neighborhood where there’s a lot of shops and restaurants. Service was quick and the staff very approachable on what to eat. I feel like trying it all and would like to take advantage of the sushi happy hour next time I come through.

No! No Yuki. Why did I go twice? Was it the mop bucket smell I craved? Did I miss the hapless waiter who gave me 12 glasses of water and looped away to run into a support beam? Or maybe it was the sullen looks of the goofy hatted man behind the counter containing raw fish and sharp knives. Either way, I accidentally ordered the same dish I vowed not to order a second time, decidedly did NOT get buzzed on the Japanese beer I was counting on getting me through the second ordeal, AAAAND I think the place is haunted, because I could swear that when the check came, I heard malicious laughter coming from the kitchen.

The restaurant we went to was the one that closed down on 930NW23rd Ave Portland, Oregon 97210. It was pretty good so I’m hoping to try it again at their new location.

Finally leaving a review for this place! Every time I come I’m amazed at how delicious the food is. The sushi is high quality and unique but you can still get your favourites. The Japanese food and bentos are really good! My favourite is probably the curry but the Donburi bowls are a good choice as well! This time I got the sukiyaki which I’ve never tried before and the broth is delightful! My significant other got three types of sushi, he preferred his rolls to the sashimi. The only issue I can think to bring up is the service is just a bit random. Sometimes I go there and it’s quick and friendly, sometimes I go there and they are slow. But it’s worth the wait for some delicious food!
