Love having Zoom care in my neighborhood. Have used it personally and also for my three children when our primary doctors were unavailable. We’ve been in for minor things like pink eye, UTI, chest colds and hives. Nothing major. A great supplement to our health care. Environment is welcoming. Staff is friendly and helpful. We’ve never had to wait more than 3 minutes before being seen. Practitioners are attentive. I’ve had one billing issue and phone customer service was extremely helpful and friendly.

I visited Zoom Care in Multnomah village 2 years ago. I had an awful nose infection. The NP I saw gave me a prescription for an antibiotic which I took precisely according to directions, but I just got worse, finally seeing an MD in emergency, who informed me the antibiotic I had been taking «will neither harm nor help you» and gave me proper treatment for this staph infection, which he said could have been life threatening if left without the right medicine.
No more zoom care for me. And if I’m ever stuck with one, I will make sure its an MD. No NPs or PA’s.

First, let me say I am not a fan of going to the doctor. The environments are usually stuffy and sterile. I went in last week and was pleasantly surprised when I walked in to see that it had the exact opposite feel. The gal up front even offered me tea. I saw a physicians assistant and he was very thorough and had me in and out in no time with my medication in hand. Staff here is great and location is so convenient on my way home from work!

Summary: Meh for routine care. Would consider for urgent care.
* In network? Be careful if they are not in-​network; you could be hit with a big bill. I just assumed they would be for my insurance. One sick visit was $ 149. It would have been nice if the receptionist had informed me of this when she processed my new insurance card before I went in for the visit.
* Cumbersome to reach by phone. I tried to call back with questions about the bloodwork place I was headed to and to cancel a follow up appointment with a doctor and bloodwork and was on hold for more than 12 minutes before being transferred to that location. Another downside — you cannot call a ZoomCare office directly. You have to call the main number who will transfer you if they are available to for this location online.
* No phlebotomist at this location. Also, if you need blood work they cannot do it at this location. Major inconvenience. You must go to NW 23^rd or Bridgeport Village.
* Corporate bureaucracy. There was a bad smell in the place. Perhaps a dead animal in the wall. To their credit they were aware of it and had the front door open, but you got the feeling they were hoping corporate would respond quickly. It would have been reassuring to hear «a contractor is on the way».
Probably will not return to Zoom Care given my several so so experiences with them. Nice for urgent care perhaps but you really need to find a good doctor and stick with them.

Well, they’ve really done it. Folks, after some epically bad meals, horrendous service, and many a dirty bathroom, I am finally leaving my very first-​ever one-​star review. This is what I’ve been saving it for — with every bad meal or rude server, I said to myself, «It could be worse.» Well, now it is.
I’m finally getting around to updating my review following the «response» — AKA defensive excuse — posted on my original review by ZOOM Care’s PR employee. I am copying it here in case they decide to delete it following this response:

Our providers are continuously reviewed by our Medical Directors to ensure the quality of all aspects of our care, including care competency, cleanliness, and communication. We reviewed your records and found that the proper information for diagnosis was taken, but understand that it may not have felt that way. We’ve addressed your concerns specifically with your provider.
Regarding Naturopathic treatment, there was no indication that you were seeking an ND so you were treated only for the services you scheduled. Our NDs are licensed to diagnose and treat illnesses, prescribe medicines, order lab tests, and perform the services of any other physician. If you’re interested in scheduling a specific naturopathic visit you can to that at

Nowhere in my review did I indicate that I was seeking a particular kind of care, naturopathic or traditional. Furthermore, I never questioned the naturopath’s license to diagnose illness or prescribe medication. I simply stated that I found it rather odd that someone who is trained in naturopathic medicine did not even mention a potential naturopathic option, but instead was more aggressive about pushing pharmaceuticals (both OTC and prescribed, together, and before a diagnosis was confirmed through lab results!) than most «traditional» doctors have been, in my own years of experience. I stand by that. I still find it strange, at best, and reckless at worst.
**Dear ZOOM Care — please spend less money on PR spinning your patients’ negative reviews on Unilocal,and more effort in training your DOCTORS to CHANGE THEIR GLOVES. In the meantime, I am absolutely not interested in scheduling ANY kind of service or visit at your clinics in the future.**

Was hesitant to schedule appointment as they want a credit card up front, decide to anyways. Guy at front desk (forgot his name) was really helpful and informative, The Dr was also pleasant. I would go back it is very clean and welcoming environment, with a modern look.

Such a pleasant visit! Made my appointment 30 minutes before I came in, doc was ready for me right away and the woman at the counter was super efficient. I told Dr. Beckwith that I was squeamish after cutting my arm open and she did such a good job of calming me down and explaining what she was doing at all times. She patched me up quickly and got me out with all the right paperwork in 20 minutes. I’ll never be nervous coming back to ZoomCare!

Clean and prompt. NP I saw was professional, helpful and thorough. I love this location.

I had to make an urgent appointment for my four year old son, who was scratched in the eye by a bunny. We were assigned to a Naturopath doctor, which I didn’t really feel comfortable about, seeing as she is not really a doctor. I would have preferred to see someone that is a traditional medical specialist: MD, DO, NP. Had I known his eye injury was going to be treated (or not treated) by someone akin to an herbalist, I would never have come. Anyways, here we were, and he was in pain. I wanted to make sure nothing was wrong.
However, we didn’t really even get any properly diagnosed. First, they did not have a pediatric eye chart. The «doctor» and receptionist both tried in vain to communicate with a boy who just turned four, by repeating, «Please read to us the smallest line you can make out.» Completely inappropriate. He was able to point to the big «E,» and that’s about it. It’s not that his eyesight was necessarily failing, it was that your office was completely unprepared to deal with a pediatric eye injury.
Next, the ND wheeled in a few supplies to do a contrast dye in his eye, and check under the ultraviolet light for corneal scratch. Except, she wasn’t able to even get the contrast dye in his eye. He was perfectly still and cooperative. She was just completely incompetent. She tried four times, and only managed to get contrast dye all over his face. She then sat him up and said, «Well, it doesn’t look infected.» HELLO? He just injured his eye not 20 minutes ago! Way to remember his history for all of five minutes. I clarified that it wouldn’t look infected, as IT WAS JUST INJURED. She didn’t have much to say after that, except for me to follow up with an eye specialist and she handed us some Polysporin drops.
Absolute abysmal care. The ND is a complete moron. I’m surprised I wasn’t handed some cat saliva and woodear mushrooms to try.
Go anywhere else. I would’ve been better off going to the Penzoil 5-​Minute Oil Change and getting better medical advice.

HealthCare on Demand except that you cant just walk in and see a doctor — so much for the advertised Urgent care.
Sign on the door says open til 8 pm but closing shop at 7:45 pm.

They saw me right away and did what they could to help with some nasty tendonitis I suddenly started experiencing. Turns out it was likely jus over exertion and really they couldn’t do much beyond offer a script to reduce swelling but they confirmed that nothing was broken and that put my mind at ease. It’s nice to know this is here since you can’t always see you doc in short time.

I’m very pleased with the service I received at ZoomCare both in this Multnomah Village location, and Sellwood. Friendly office staff and prompt, timely service. Bethany listened closely to my symptoms, was empathetic, and walked me through her decisions clearly. Highly recommend. I feel fortunate to have this resource in our community when health concerns arise!

I visited this Zoom Care today and had a very good appointment with John. I’ve been wheezing and coughing for the last few days with no other symptoms of a cold. I left a message and was called back within a half hour to make my appointment. I only had to wait an hour before I could be seen.
John listened to my chest and took my temperature (no fever), He then discussed with us the medications he was going to prescribe for me, including an antibiotic. After the appointment I told him that when I had a bad reaction to an antibiotic, I’d go into acute renal failure. John then went back to his office and (I’m assuming) did some more research. He decided to change my antibiotic to one that wouldn’t stress my kidneys as much. I’m glad he did!
Checkout was a breeze and we only paid $ 60 for the appointment (insurance paid the rest) and three prescriptions. I absolutely love that they had the medications right there and we didn’t have to go to another pharmacy. We live in Multnomah and walking up there was so much faster and easier than going to an urgent care location.

Was feeling under the weather and decided to just double check that I have nothing serious before leaving for a vacation, got in within an hour of calling and was helped immediantly when i came in. It turned out I had pneuomonia. I was given some antibiotics and was out of there within 15 minutes and the total visit only cost $ 45 dollars. The people were so friendly and helpful, I’m so glad they were able to help me on such short notice!

Here I am sitting outside their office door at 9:13AM, looking at their posted office hours showing that they should have been open 13 minutes ago… No sign of anyone inside or any indication that they will be open at all today.
Generally if you go to urgent care it means that you have something that needs to be taken care of URGENTLY.
If you have urgent care needs, I’d suggest skipping this place in favor of an office that maintains accurate office hours.

This office is so very shady! Went in for skin staph infection. Dr I saw ordered CT scan (which makes no sense), looked just inside my nose and throat with a flash light although I had no respiratory symptoms, then billed me an additional $ 200 for his lighted look. There is no procedure or policy to dispute anything with this company. Billing basically just said too bad, pay it or we collect it via collections. Super disappointed. Providence Dr two days later prescribed oral antibiotic for infection and problem was easily solved. Not a happy patient with Zoom Care.

I got stung by a bee and I’m part of the 3% that are allergic, but not deadly allergic. My leg swelled up like I was hit with a baseball bat. It turned purple and was just super gross. It itched and hurt. I puked. All while camping.
But anyway…
I’m on my family’s insurance plan and so upon my arrival I just had to pay our $ 25 copay. I have lived in Portland for a few years, but I have never established a doctor which made Zoomcare kind of the perfect choice. I was able to sign up for an appointment online from my cell phone for the same day I got back from camping. My appointment started only a few minutes after the scheduled time and was good service. My lady doctor checked out my leg and asked me a bunch of questions. Then sent me on my way with prescriptions and instructions. I’ll definitely use Zoomcare in the future.

Attentive, caring and better than my actual doctor. Kat was excellent and very knowledgable. I wish she was my primary!

Excellent experience and outcome.
I was able to schedule a same day appointment, got examined (the Physician assistance was knowledgeable, friendly, thorough and seems genuinely compassionate and engaged with my well fair. They processed a in house strep throat lab test, got my results, was prescribed some medications — got them at the same place and left within 30 minutes. I was provided some education material about my diagnosis, my visit summary with instructions. I could use my insurance or self pay so was happy with the options.
Make sure you ask for your visit summary or health record before you leave so that you can have a copy for your records.
A few weeks later after following my treatment plan i was good as new.
I would recommend this place to those that need immediate care, appreciate multiple payment options, don’t really need a specific relationship with a primary care doctor, appreciate a place that utilizes today’s available technology to provide care e. g have online appointment scheduling, use or electronic health records, can conduct video conference consultation.

This is my second time at Zoomcare. Here’s what was great about my visit:
— it was easy to schedule (online and the same day)
— I was seen on time and got in and out in an efficient amount of time.
— The nurse practitioner who saw me, Lindsay (sp?) provided an excellent explanation and answered my questions thoroughly.
–Net, net I feel like the care is efficient and effective.
