My wife and I worked with Zoe, one of the designers. We ordered about 20+ of the white shaker cabinets. Great quality(thick plywood, dovetailed, soft closing etc) and awesome customer service. The initial design took a little over an hour and we were able to tweak things and see a 3D layout of the kitchen. We wanted to change some cabinets the day after delivery and they promptly changed them out. Would definitely recommend.

So last week I purchased a split king tempur-pedic adjustable base with a pair of mattresses to fit the unit. Today less than a week later our new bed was delivered and set up. The units were in very good condition a few bumps and bruises but nothing noticeable once set up. I can not say enough good things about Kevin and his wife who both were instrumental in making us purchase from them. The price was fantastic and over half of what a brand new unit would have cost me. Hopefully the unit will continue to function as is and there will not be any need to utilize the warranty that Kevin gave us, but should the need arise I’ll do my best to update this post and let you all know how the staff at universal operates. My guess is they will be fantastic and take care of me and my wife just like they did that first day we met.

I priced out cabinets for a kitchen remodel in my house. Box stores like HD and Lowes were about 9−10k. These guys came in at about 6k. When I got the cabinets I realized why. Just about everything you can imagine was wrong with them. About half the cabinets had scratches on them. About half of them have drawers that are out of square or are out of level when closed. The skins, or end panels for end cabinets were all warped. The stain job was awful. After contacting the company about 6 times, I finally got a reply. Then nothing for quite awhile. Then the person I was originally working with was no longer with the company, and the new person had no idea what was going on, and couldn’t really help. I’m still almost two years later waiting for a replacement door for a scratched cabinet. This place was easily the worst place I worked with. I’ve remodeled my entire house down to the studs, dealt with tons of companies, counter top installers, sheet rocker, electricians, plumbers, siding, roofers, insulation installers, etc. Universal Factory Direct was far and away the worst. Terrible product, terrible customer service, but good prices. You get what you pay for. I wouldn’t even consider using them again. Every time I open a crooked drawer, or see a scratched door, my blood pressure rises. DONOTUSE these guys. ZEROSTARS

been a customer for years… Bedrooms, Hot Tub and a full Kitchen that saved me over $ 6000 off the«big box» store price — which was the cheapest at the time… not only was the quality amazing(at any price) offering all the features I wanted but the design and service is outstanding… I couldn’t be more impressed and world recommend to to anyone…

Don’t ever buy kitchen cabinets from this company. I purchased cabinets with them about a year ago, included in my price they were to give me knobs. The sales associate I dealt with left this company. Prior to her leaving, the knobs I wanted were on back order. The cabinets were missing a skin to hide a seam. Owner told me he couldn’t help me with the knobs, though my original receipt clearly says they are included up to $ 100.00. Have contacted the owner 10+ times with still no answer on the skin I need to hide the seam. This has been going on for a year. The owner is a horrible business owner. How hard is it to return an email or phone call or at least try to rectify the issue. I will NEVER ever use this company again. I will be contacting the better business bureau as well as other means to get this rectified. HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE!

Don’t buy a hot tub from these people unless you want to be taken for a ride. Although the price seems good and it appears to be quality, find someone else who sells these brands if you really want them! I special ordered my tub. 3 – 4 weeks became 8. Arrived with problems from day 1 and now we can’t even get a phone call answered! Handwritten receipt is a joke! Totally unprofessional people. They told us they service them and now refuse to come or even answer the phone. What good is a warranty if you can’t get the dealer to actually answer you? This guy is a total con artist! Beware!!!

The direct experience started out well enough and we like the product, mostly. However, they have — by far — the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. DONOTUSETHISCOMPANY. My husband and I tried to get more cabinets but you have to call to make an appt. We have now called, emailed, etc. more than 8 times and NOONE has returned a phone call. I wonder if we bought illegal merchandise. For that reason alone I wouldn’t use them. It’s a good thing we didn’t have a problem. They lost business.
