Hong Kong House

This delivery order was late and the food was really cold. I will never order from here again.

I came here on a recent Saturday afternoon. There is the usual selection of dishes. I did not see any sushi listed that a previous reviewer commented on. The prices are in-​line with area restaurants. I had the orange chicken which is better than most places. The dining area is clean and the staff is friendly.

Super friendly the owners are. Coconut shrimp is very good. Very coconutty. They are super fast. Prices are fair, I usually do take out here on a whim. Everyone always loved it. Portions are generous.

Nothing terrible, but nothing very good either. Decent and friendly service.

We always order from these guys, Bonnie is very nice and always recognizes my voice when I call. On top of being friendly, they have very good food and we even ask for modifications sometimes, and they cook the dishes to our taste. Delivery is very fast; we have never waited more than ½ hour for delivery.

This is good Chinese restaurant. The people are nice. The food is average to good.

It was a late night at work for me and my husband and I were in desperate need of decent Chinese takeout. We live right down the road from Hong Kong Wok but had never tried it. I was coming home on the PA Turnpike and knew I’d make it just when they were about to close, so I called first to check if it was ok. They were so nice and stayed open a ½ hour later just to accomodate our takeout order. When I arrived the family who owns the restaurant was very friendly and packed up our order neatly as soon as it came sizzling hot off the wok. They even gave us some homemade iced tea to take home and try! We got the typical Chinese takeout picks– Chicken with Broccoli, Pork Fried Rice, Vegetable Lo Mein, Dumplings and soups. Everything was delicious, and I’m not sure, but I think the dumplings and lo mein noodles were homemade. If they weren’t made there, they were very fresh. Everything was piping hot and really yummy. We will definitely return!

Since I live nearby, I tried it several times. The staff is friendly, but I the food was very salty and somewhat slippery.

My wife and I have lived in Pottstown now for almost 6 months and have tried various Chinese places throughout Pottstown. All have left us missing our old town and favorite Chinese hole-​in-​the-​wall.
Hong Kong House was the next on our list to try and I think it will be our last. The service was friendly and fast. The flavors were wonderful.
My favorite dish is General Tso’s Chicken and over the last 5 – 6 years it seems it has become more tame and Americanly boring. (you know the little pepper they always put next to it to tell you it is spicy… it is never spicy… it used to be… what happened… i digress)
HKH — had a delicious sauce, and delicious chicken. small pieces freshly breaded and fried!
the fried rice was excellent, not too salty but had a good mix of veggies and pork.
The cashew chicken was just as good with all sorts of flavor.
I cant say anything about their Japanese cuisine or sushi as the other reviewer mentioned, (though worth mentioning is there is a 4star sushi place 15minutes away.)
I will be going back multiple times to Hong Kong House.
