Super moist yet crispy chicken. Love most of the sides, but think the mac & cheese is a little lacking. The staff is very courteous and it’s clean. The location is kind of odd so it’s easy to pass by; however it’s worth the stop if you are in the area.

Every time I come to Pottstown to see my family one of my favorite stops is Jerry’s. The rotisserie chicken, baked beans, and hush puppies are my favorite items. My husband not from Pottstown, says this place serves one the best chickens ever.

We were craving for some fried chicken and found this place on Unilocal. This is actually a pretty nice place, the owner and staff were very nice. The restaurant is specious and clean! The food was great overall, and you get to select parts of the chicken you like! we ordered 5pc and 3pc fried chicken with thigh and wings, we thought that 5 piece was a little too much for one person, should’ve just ordered 3pc. And they not only sell fried chicken, they have cornbread, brownies, and many other food as well. This is a place I would come again. If you ever wanted some fried chicken or rotisserie chicken, feel free to stop by!

I’ve been to Jerry’s several times and the fried chicken is consistent and super tasty. If you want chicken done right… Jerry’s will deliver!

Jerry’s has good fried chicken and chicken tenders. The fried fish is good as well. We have tried several of the sides, such as mac and cheese, and we do not like any of them. Wish the sides were better.

A friend and I decided to visit«Jerry’s» after he had decided that driving to Bojangle’s in Reading was just a bit too far. This would turn out to be a huge mistake. The food at Jerry’s is passable for taste, and quite expensive for what you get. Value seekers — go somewhere else. First, Jerry’s doesn’t really offer any good meal deals or combos that make it a reasonable price to purchase a meal for a small family. I ended up spending about $ 26 for 9 pieces of fried chicken, store-bought coleslaw, mac and cheese and an order of hush puppies. The fried chicken they sell at most grocery stores for about 8pcs for $ 4.99 are about on par with the quality of Jerry’s, so be prepared to pay a premium. To put it in perspective, the best part of the meal were the Hush Puppies. However, the main reason I did not give Jerry’s a high rating is because of the service. As we arrived, the gentleman behind the counter was helping another customer. My friend tried to acknowledge the man, but all he got was a dirty look. After the customer had been dealt with, he scurried off to the back to tend to some food without greeting us. A few minutes later he asked us if we were ready to order yet, but in a not very accommodating manner. «You ready to order yet?» he said, gruffly. We order our meals and sat down. My friend ordered a small loaf of cornbread with his meal for $ 1.00, which does not look like it’s made at the restaurant either. He set it aside at the counter instead of taking it with him, thinking it wouldn’t be an issue. When he goes to pick up his order, he takes a loaf of cornbread he had paid for and places it in his bag. Then, some other fellow who was not around previously from when our orders were taken and paid for, essentially accuses my friend of not paying for the loaf. After my friend explained that he did so(no receipts are given), he hastily tried to apologize. Maybe he should have checked in with his co-worker before accusing a customer of stealing. All in all, very average fried chicken, below average service. If you want something comparable in taste but a better value, go with KFC or Giant’s Food Court.

This place rules! The fried chicken is the best around, and the vast selection of sides won’t let you down. There are also seafood items… There’s something for everybody. Highly recommended!

Not impressed at all with the food. The sides are gross. Do yourself a favor and don’t eat here. Also store is dirty.

Great fried chicken. Go here instead Of KFC. Good sides too. The skin on the fried chicken is fantastic and the chicken is far from dry.

I could not agree more, than the first review! This place is alway consistent. The fried chicken is fresh and always good. We were down in Pottstown visiting and my wife picked up take out, to our suprise Jerry’s had moved, the funny part about it was their new location is in an old KFC. Jerry’s will make it there, when KFC couldn’t because they are just disgusting. If you live in the area or just visiting, make a trip to Jerry’s, although it’s a little pricy, it’s well worth it.

Jerry moved from the dumpy little take-out joint on Shoemaker Road to this much nicer location on RT724, just east of RT100. Now, they have a nice clean dining room, they encourage phone-in orders for take out, a drive– thru window, plenty of parking, and the same GREAT fried chicken they always had. Plenty of side dishes and entrees to choose from if fried chicken is not your thing. I really liked Jerry’s when it was a dumpy hole-in-the-wall. The new location only makes a good thing better.
