I went here today with my girlfriend and when she asked to have a junior chicken and waffles she was blatantly told«no» — we thought she was joking and then she said«are you under twelve years old?» In a straight blank tone and by then we knew she was serious. She told us she’d «ask her manager» if it was«okay» to order a simple plate of food. She came back and said it was fine and further told us that the reason she had to ask was because the previous manager at the restaurant would have said no and wasn’t sure what this new one would say — either way her delivery of telling us that getting a meal may or may not have been possible was incredibly rude — it seems every time I’ve been here there’s been an issue in some way shape or form. I rest my case saying that there’s much better places to go. Also my check in coupon from Unilocal!couldn’t be used either

I’m giving this place 3 stars because the food was great. I would have given 5 if my food didn’t sit in the window and the food didn’t arrive cold and the waitress didn’t look at me like I was speaking a different language when I asked for a box. She just dropped off my check on the table and kept walking. Didn’t even say thank you for have a nice day. The coffee tasted real bad like it was burnt. I asked to speak to a manager but was told no one was there.

Very pricey now since the new paint job inside the restaurant along with the new cushions on the chairs and booths. The food is still the same by looks and taste of it and not worth the price!

Went here with mother and husband, waited for thirty minutes, when the food came, the salad I ordered looked like it had come out of the trash, my husband’s was simple pancakes. My mothers however, was the wrong damned thing, she has kidney failure and can not eat potatoes, so you can imagine our surprise when a plate full of hash browns, which are potatoes, came out. When the waiter was informed of the mistake, he insisted that my mother made the error. Why the hell would she knowingly get hash browns with her condition??? He refused to admit that he made an error, so we walked out. We paid for our drinks and left. Ended up going to Dunkin doughnuts on the same road. No wait, no argument, no wrong order. My advice, if you enjoy being left hungry and pissed off, go to ihop. I personally will never set foot in that joke of a restaurant again.

I got a 15% discount from the app and it said to show it to the waitress and i did, but she didn’t give me the discount because she said it had to be printed out so she could have it for her records :(. Food was good though.

Waited 5 minutes for some one to wait on me. It wasn’t even that busy. The food is normal iHop.

Waitress and host were very nice and attentive. Food decently prepared. The only thing wrong is they did not know anything about the« Unilocal» 15% off when you check in discount.

I-HOP in general isn’t the best. I prefer the Perkins in Wappingers only because the portion sizes are bigger and they listen when you ask for small preferences like well-done home fries. At this I-HOP, the employees seem to have a chip on their shoulders. I know it’s rough working in the food industry, but no one seems to care about anything. They give you the food and then they’re done. You’d best avoid this I-HOP unless it’s International Pancake day. Then jump on that like white on rice.

In Hope Of Pancakes. When you have no shame or are still a little drunk(most often both), IHOP is fine. Just don’t keep your standards too high. Food comes out immensely slowly for breakfast, and it really doesn’t hold a candle to a standard diner or brunch place in the area. There are too many options in the area to resort to IHOP.

I understand that iHop is a quick, almost fast food restaurant. We came here with my husband’s mother, brother and grandmother for brunch. When we were seated, we were asked what we’d like to drink. I wanted a Splashberry soda, the hubby wanted coffee and everyone else ordered iced tea. The waitress came back with 4 iced teas and a coffee cup. She apologized and fixed the issue quickly. We ordered our meals. I got the summer special raspberry and peach pancakes with the ultimate choice for eggs, bacon and sausage, opting out of eggs for fresh fruit instead. The food was okay, but the peaches were extremely hard and chewy. After we’d finished eating, our waitress was nowhere to be found for drink refills. We had to ask a different waitress to refill our drinks. Our waitress didn’t even come back for 20 minutes after that with our check. She seemed distressed but she only had 2 tables to work! I was annoyed and upset when we left. Such shitty service.

We had a healthy and fit omelet with a side order of fruit. The service was quick and fast and the coffee was freshly brewed. Wife and I were splitting the omelet and the waiter was kind enough to bring extra plates.

If you want crappy service and freezer burned food, this is the place for you! Topped off with multiple screaming babies and it’s a fun filled meal for everyone! Do yourself a favor and go find a local diner.

it’s ihop, not a culinary experience, it was a good location, clean, pleasant service, and the pancakes, delicious as usual

I’ve been to this IHOP a few times before. All of the times, I’m with my family, so things seem to go steady. The food is served in a fresh manner with proper care. The place looks clean(despite being right off Route 9/South Rd – a major thoroughfare in Poughkeepsie, and despite the Dennys and Friendly’s restaurants nearby having closed down). And despite not being one of those flagship stores(with the signature triangular-shaped blue roof), it’s actually something you need to take seriously before visiting). The food is okay, but is a bit on the uncooked side, and things just don’t move very fast. It seemed like it took forever from the time we placed the order till the time it arrived. I watched my watch once, the minute hand went around the dial twice, in this time frame. You might be better off, for faster food, to travel across the street to the mall and take in some quick food there instead.

I’m here now, came back to use my husbands birthday coupon. last night, the waitress said, no, it must be printed out. Today, thayer said, «we do not accept coupons on the weekend.» HUH??? I read the coupon. Asking 4 manager. The food is always good. Not mind blowing.

I was forced to eat here once by my co-workers and never did again, for two reasons: 1) Ihop is gross to begin with. My cheesy egg dish was covered in bagged shredded cheese that oozed more oil than a 14-year-old boy’s puberty-stricken face. Also, the names of the dishes are highly unappetizing. 2) There is always a giant freaking line to get into this place. What is that about? Don’t they know about the first item on this list?

I don’t know why people bother waiting here to eat breakfast or even lunch here. It took me to get a table for 3 about 20 minutes. The service was alright. The food… eh. The quantity was less than what it was worth, it was quite greasy. I was still hungry by the time I finished my food. I went to Wendy’s to satify my hunger after.

It’s IHOP!!! As long as you stay with ordering BREAKFAST, you’re all good. Don’t get ambitious and order dinners. You won’t like it. I used to come here with the boys on the regular back in the day(96 – 99) the morning after hard partying. All I need from here is the pancakes and the butter pecan syrup. The amount of senior citizens in this place was staggering. It was almost like IHOP stood for: Internationally Harboring Old People. Honestly, we came here because there was a waitress who looked EXACTLY like Melissa Joan Hart and we all crushed on her. True story. She stopped working there… We stopped going there… We were quite strange…
