I’m here every morning. They never miss a beat. The people who work the drive thru are amazingly friendly and I truly mean that. It’s just the right amount of friendly for my 6AM self.
I’ve been coming here for a year and they have never botched my order. My drinks and food are always prepared for my liking.
The coffee here is just great. Gives me the right amount of buzz to make it through the majority of my workday.

i find the quality of drinks here is 50⁄50. more often then not when i go here my drinks are poorly made or incorrect ingredients are used via a lazy or careless barista who doesn’t know what they’ve doing. i drink starbucks several times a week and this store is ten minutes from my home but lately i’ve been going out of my way to get my coffee from the shop on route 9 simply because the quality of the drinks and service are much better, even despite lacking the convenience of a drive thru. I’m paying a lot of money for these drinks so i want it done right. the first time. i have had to ask for my drink to be remade several times at this location, needless to say its very discouraging for repeat business.

The baristas are friendly and helpful, but the wait times are ridiculous. It is a shame the whole experience is ruined by the foreigners who smoke cigarettes in the parking lot because Starbucks took their tables away. I’d stick to the drive thru if you have 20 minute to waste. Otherwise, go to the Marist Starbucks.

I love NYC but the awesome thing about upstate Starbucks is that the staff is actually nice here. Post 5 mile race, I came here wearing my race bib and clothes. The cashier immediately started asking how the race was since so many other runners came through as well. Love this location and despite it’s somewhat close proximity (7 – 10 minute drive from Vassar), there is always plenty of room to sit and study or read. During the warmer months there’s 3 – 4 tables and chairs set up outside.
Best part = drive through!!!

Love love love it. They know me VERY well here. It really does help if you carry the «gold card» and keep reloading it! With every single bag of coffee I buy (ground or whole bean) I receive a free drink (Latte, cappuccino or what-​not). Needless to say, I buy a lot of coffee here =) I refuse to buy cheap coffee~ it’s just not worth it for me! (I also bring the good stuff to work for my fellow night-​shifters to enjoy.) And I get a free– any– size birthday drink, (I actually get lots of these free– any– size drink cards in the mail, since I earn so many points! As far as friendliness, the newer people that serve costumers are much nicer. there are two guys that are always smiling, funny and friendly. One lady in particular is a doll. It smells heavenly in here. I’m sold.

As a daily Starbucks drinker/​Gold Card holder, I have frequented many locations all over the country and Canada. This is my least favorite location in the world. Some people are nice, but many of the workers here have bad attitudes, particularly with regard to their interactions with certain minority groups. I have gone with people who live down the street (while visiting the area) and they refuse to purchase anything from this store. So… yea. They might want to work on that. I’d rather go to Barnes & Noble, Starbucks by Marist, Starbucks across from Barnes & Noble or the Cubbyhole… almost anywhere really, even though this one is so much more convenient. Also, horrible ambiance. I can’t bear to stay here for more than 5 mins at a time. It tends to be clean though. But overall, no thanks.

I just left this starbucks to go to the Panera next door because of the people that inhabit this particular starbucks. A group of over 10 men speaking very loudly in a foreign language took over the place and it was impossible to think, let along, get any work done. These men seem to live at this starbucks in particular, both inside and out, and though I am a die hard starbucks fan, tonight i was pushed over the edge by their rude, loud behavior and moved next door to Panera for some good hot soup, and peace and quiet. Though I like the people who work at the starbucks, I think they should speak up and tell these folks to be a little more respectful of this public space.

Only one review?! All Starbucks are not created equal. I frequent 5 different Starbucks over the course of one week. This one, the one on RT9 and then three different ones in NYC. This particular Starbucks is always clean and well maintained. The people working behind the counters all always really nice and good at what they do.
Bonus points for giving my Dog treats when we go through the drive-​thru. If anyone at Corporate has issues with that… don’t!

Poughkeepsie has only 2 Starbucks locations, this is the one WITH the drive thru window, certainly that’s worth an extra star.
Nice staff at this location. Super weird around the building drive-​thru window approach.
I like Starbucks, I am not ashamed. Something about their coffee, the kind of brew that gives you bad breath for 10 hours really hits the spot.
