I have been to this diner 4 times now. I have tried the fries, the grilled cheese, the steak panini, the patty melt, and the chicken quesadilla. Everything was really good. I particularly liked the chicken quesadilla and the patty melt. The fries are fairly standard fries, not incredible or sub par. I also shared a dessert 2x. I got the carrot cake cheesecake and the baklava cheesecake. The desserts I had were ones I ordered out of curiosity since I wanted something sweet and they sounded unusual. They were excellent! The desserts are huge though so I highly recommend sharing with someone or being ready for leftovers. The wait staff were friendly and the service was good.

I came here on a Sunday night with a friend when we were in the mood for diner food. I’ve never been, but always saw it driving on South. It wasn’t too busy but there were a good number of patrons there. It took my friend and I literally ten minutes to decide what to get, there were so many choices! She settled on a burger, I got the Jitterbug(hamburger patty with gravy on top, veggies, and mashed potatoes). The food came out quickly. Wasn’t amazing, but solid. What would make me come to Table Talk again is diner food + drinks. For«dessert» I had the Oreo Storm, an alcoholic milkshake. It was delicious– and once again, it was hard to choose which milkshake to pick. There were a good number of hard shakes to choose from, as well as cocktails and hard coffee drinks. The actual desserts, too, looked good(we saw a Baileys cheesecake advertised). Good choice on a weekend night, and won’t set you back too badly.

I’ve never had a negative experience at Table Talk. Such an upgrade from the other diners in the area. Great staff, excellent food, great prices, and clean interior. They play good music too. There hasn’t been an entrée here that I didn’t like. If you’re having breakfast, I highly recommend the Tex Mex Wrap. Last night my friend got the Chicken Souvlaki and loved it. I got the Classic Reuben with pastrami which hit the spot.

We’ve only been here once, and have only had one dish — banana pancakes — but they were absolutely delicious! The service was very friendly, responsive, and attentive. The banana pancakes are amazing — truly fluffy, full of flavor, with bananas mixed into the batter(not just sliced on top). We gobbled down every morsel! The only let-down was the coffee, which tasted weak and watery. If they fix that, we’d give them 5 stars for a pancake breakfast. We’re going back tomorrow for more banana pancakes.

Not happy woth atmosphere, wait staff slow and menu not descriptive. I ordered chicken pot pie what i got was creamed chicken soup with a crust floating on top. * I’m lactose intolerant, so i payed like $ 12 bucks for something I could not eat. Hubby also not happy with their french fries and burger was only ok.

Our family of 5 ordered buttermilk and chocolate chip pancakes, and an omelet with mushroom and onions with sausage on the side. To begin with, those we were given dishes of butter and small pitchers of syrup for each of us. Our pancakes were perfectly cooked, rich and hearty, and none of the 4 of us who ordered them could clean their plate, they were that large. My husband’s omelet was perfect as well, and he really enjoyed the fat sausage links. Service was just right, attentive and friendly. We have family in Poughkeepsie and plan to return here in the future.

Was greeted by the friendly hostess and sat right way, who even wiped down the table for me and got me a beverage! My waitress Stephanie promptly came to my table and greeted me, took my order and asked if I needed anything My appetizer came out mozzarella sticks which was really good! There were like 6 of them very big and plentiful Next my burger came out, a BBQ bacon burger cooked perfectly with a pile of perfectly crispy French Fries & was huge I couldn’t even finish it All and all this was a nice place with good food

Pretty sub par service. The gyro — a diner staple — was lacking real texture or flavor from the meat. Stay away from the nachos. Stick with breakfast for any time of day… Waffles and pancakes are fine.

I love eating here, and as always the food is awesome the staff is average sometimes you’ll get someone nicer than the other but that’s that. But today a sunday morning very busy morning the hostess is a bit clueless but what really got to me was the manager tall dark guy with glasses very aggressive towards his hostess towards the customers he just keep yelling to the girl, «next table» and i one of the customers he throw the menu on the table, i was like hell no. But as always people like him make the visit unpleasant. But i do love the food especially the beef quesadillas.

Really loved the French toast and good prices!!! Nice size portions and homemade sausage. It wasn’t my absolute favorite but is was ok. Coffee was HOT!(Not complaining but I burned my lip before I could even sip on the mug) My friend got the pancakes and she was in love! None of us could even finish our meals because there was so much food. Recommend for sure!

It’s a Hudson valley dinner, is that enough? Good variety, good service, it’s really good… Nothing out of the ordinary, it’s the same as the palace, or eveready, or red line, or daily planet… Why mess with success? Everything is always fresh and delicious… Omelettes, sandwiches, it’s all good… I highly recommend!!!

I have eaten here very often and each time it has been very good. I have had the Cesar salad, bbq chicken platter and steak panini. The service has always been quick and friendly. I would definitely try it if you are in the area. It is located in a strip mall with a Pier 1, Starbucks and a few more shops. Very nice and clean diner.

I’ve been coming here for lunch with my mom when visiting good ol’ Poughkeepsie on school breaks, but I feel like this place has gone downhill over the last 3 years I’ve been coming here. On the bright side: Quiche of the day is always a good safe choice. They make one good matzo ball(but it’s a tiny bowl). Plenty o’ parking. Plenty o’ seating(even if some of it isn’t great condition). Starbucks and EMS is next door. Some of the hot food is not bad — I’ve had a chicken pot pie(huge serving!) and chicken francese from here and both were reasonably ok in size and quality. I can’t say these items are served often since I usually order lunch specials(see below for the reason why). Gargantuan menu — something for probably everyone. On the not so great side: Prices are steep on said gargantuan menu. If you’re not ordering from the lunch special list(the laminated sheet that you get separate from the actual menu), you’re getting ripped off. The fruit salad that came with our quiche last time was NOT fresh. Disappointing quality. Silverware is not always the cleanest. Guy at the front counter(maybe the owner?) is brusque and not all that friendly for someone who is playing host.

A little underwhelmed, but would give it another try. I recently stopped in here for breakfast. I had a coffee and an egg sandwich on toasted rye with lettuce, tomato and swiss. The coffee was good diner coffee and the egg cooked properly, but only one slice of bread was toasted and only on one side. The staff was very nice and attentive. I would give this place another try simply because the servers/host were so nice.
