We have been here twice now with a consistent negative experience both times. Main issues: –Dirty silverware. Not just kind of icky, but chunks of stuff on the knife and fork. Asked the waitress for a new one and she did not seem surprised or apologetic about it. –Dirty, cracked coffee mugs. The same waitress brought us coffee and water. The coffee mugs both had chunky gooey stuff on the outside of the mug and all around the rim the glaze was chipping off. Again, we asked for clean mugs and the waitress just seemed annoyed and my mate saw her roll her eyes at the other waitress she handed the mugs to. –Biscuits were not fresh. Ever microwaved left over pizza? You know how the crust gets tough and chewy? That’s how the biscuits were, they had obviously been nuked and were hard to bite through. –Potato chunks were cold and greasy, they were obviously hot held, I could pick one up and squeeze the oil out of it but it was cold. –Hygiene of the staff. We witnessed several basic hygiene violations, such as nose wiping or hair playing followed by plate handling with no hand washing in between. Servers had messy hair that was not appropriately restrained, dirty uniforms, and I watched a busser pick up a personal makeup item left behind by a table of 6, look up at the people who had not made it out the door yet, and instead of hurrying over to return the item the busser shrugged her shoulders and dropped it into a cup with some other trash. If the staff here so clearly don’t care about me or my experience then I don’t care to give them my business. For these reasons we will not return to this location.

We were seated with our toddler or should I say left standing with our toddler because your hostess decided not to bring us the highchair we asked for repeatedly. She looked about 16 so she has zero clue what it is like to wait on a seat with a toddler. After asking a third time and waiting she finally asked another girl to go get us a highchair. Except that girl brought it to the new table she sat a family at and not ours. Not only did they get a highchair upon arrival but she also started taking their orders. No one had even bothered to say hello to us or ask drinks etc. Needless to say we left and won’t be back. I’d suggest retraining your staff!

Mid afternoon shopping break… excellent service. I like the practice of offering a cup of coffee to go on the way out. Our waiter was very attentive and quick. He apologized for the length of time it took him to reach our table for taking our order, but we hadn’t noticed a wait. The diced potatoes that are supposed to be one of their specialties were extremely salty. Other than that, the food was very good, good portions and flavor. I had an awesome avocado omelette, and the kids had pancakes that were delicious and crispy. Coffee was never-ending, just the way I like it.

I like Marie Scramblers. I’ve been going here for many years, but absolutely will never go on the weekend when it is packed. I prefer to go on a week day during off hours. I like that it is small, very light from the many windows, and homey. I always sit in the same place so the server knows my order. I have only had a few items there. I am stuck on the Westgate, so it is hard to order anything else. I did try stuffed French toast once. Stuffed suggests to me that there is a lot of filling. When I received my order there was very little filling. I sent it back for more. It was returned to me with marginally more filling but it was by no way stuffed. My solution — never order it again. I also had a grilled cheeses once that was very delicious. But the Westgate can’t be beat. If I had to make a decision by the three photos on this page, I would never go. They look disgusting. Do Marie Scramblers a favor and take them off this page. I think the food here is way superior to Bob Evans.

Have been on numerous occasions and the food has always been delicious. Prices are reasonable and you get plenty of food. Clean environment. Friendly servers. Every now and then we get a server who is not«on top of things.» The good still far outweighs the every now and then server issue.

Marie has a loyal following of customers. Parking lot is usually quite full for Sunday brunch. Prices are quite reasonable. Nice place to go to take the family out. Plenty of parking available. I love breakfast! It’s my favorite meal of the day. So, I love Marie’s menu. Good size portions that has good value for the dollar. They do offer burgers and sandwiches if you are not in the mood for breakfast items. Want to carb up? They have«bottomless pit» waffles, pancakes and French toast. I’ve challenged them on that. They also have great omelets and skillet dishes. Portions are made with 4 eggs. So, if you are not that hungry, get the«mini» size which is one less egg. The staff and service is where I feel they are inconsistent. One day, the young hostess was so bored out of her mind she was literally laying across the hostess podium. That’s frequently not the case. Some of the wait staff are sharp as a tack. Others can be mediocre with their service. It can be hit or miss at times. I’ve had a couple of times where it was a challenge to get a hold of our server when needed. So, in updating my review, I felt I could only give them 3 stars this time.

Terrible at best. I was curious why they were not busy and quickly found out. The hostess was on her phone unless a co worker came over to lean and chat(got time to lean got time to clean). I have never got done with a meal and said that was terrible. I’ll stick with First Watch or Bob Evans.

Hmmmm. Scrambler Marie’s. Notice I did not say, «Mmmmm.» After seeing this place’s parking lot packed out come weekend brunch time I figured this place must be serving up some home-some breakfasty goodness. Unfortunately, what I found on a Sunday trip was mediocre service, mediocre food, yuppie infestation complete with massive enclaves of North Face jackets, and again, another side of mediocrity with gravy on top. The food here is very underwhelming. You would be doing yourself a favor money wise, and taste wise to just head down the road to Bob Evan’s. At least Bob can make some French toast with Texas toast and not some crappy wheat bread. Portion sizes were quite large and enough to feed at least two, but WHY bother taking home this food? My husband did not see the luster of this place, either. He ordered just a simple breakfast as most places that serve breakfast should be judged by… Eggs, bacon, toast and a pancake, but that proved to be an absolute bore with no flavor, or originality to make them stand out. Even Tabasco couldn’t help that shit out. BORING! Plain and simple. Bring Grandma… bring your yuppie friends, but do YOURSELF a favor and just«hasta la vista» this place out of your list of great breakfast dining establishments.

Not too bad. Average at best. The nice thing about Scramblers Powell is that they offer healthy alternatives. Prices a little higher than Bob Evans. I will say that the coffee was indeed awesome. I would go again.

Scrambler Marie’s(sometimes\formerly called Café Marie’s) is something of an Ohio staple. I used to dine at one all the time back in Toledo, and have fond memories of getting to go there special when I was a kid. Going to Marie’s is something of a special event too, since it’s difficult to get there given that they close at 3:00. Basically, if you work, that means you can only visit on holidays or weekends, which typically means a long wait. However, once in a while anyways, it’s worth the wait. Part of the reason Maries closes so early is that its specialty is brunch and breakfast. They do have burgers on the menu(which are very good, if a bit greasy), but pancakes, omelets, scrambled eggs, and crepes are more the specialty. The food is usually quite good, if a bit greasy\oily. Omlets are the worst offenders in this category, though they are quite flavorful and worth an indulgence now and then. Overall, my personal favorites include the rocky-top french toast(thick french toast topped with butter and granola) and the seafood or chicken crepes. The latter are not super-thin, but they are delicate and sweet, with delicious fillings in a rich hollandaise sauce. The chicken in particular can be delicious and juicy — definitely worth a try. The pancakes are also quite good, though a little bland. They can be dressed up with granola, chocolate chips, almonds, and so-on, though, and are extremely filling. Note that a normal sized plate is actually bottomless, but you would have to be very hungry to move beyond the starting 3-cake platter. Overall, I think this branch near Polaris is one of the better Marie’s I’ve been to. I often have suffered indigestion after brunching at Marie’s elsewhere, but I haven’t had those troubles at this branch. For that reason, and the fact that joining the Marie’s Club fills the inbox with an array of coupons and promotions, I’ve been here quite a few times. I often feel the servers are a bit sad to see the coupons — I get the feeling a lot of folks don’t tip based off the original bill — but I’ve never had any complaint with the service. Indeed, service at Marie’s is almost always fantastic, no matter the branch. The Powell branch is no exception, with a helpful and eager wait-staff, happy to chat for a minute as well as answer questions about the menu. The atmosphere is nice too — chic café with warm, clean colors, multi-leveled seating(watch your step!), and colorful plates(get a blue plate, get a free meal!). The downside to Maries would be the prices. Pancakes are $ 5 and up; crepes $ 8. That’s certainly not unreasonable in the world of restaurants, and honestly not much worse than an IHOP(and with a lot better atmosphere!) but it is not a place I normally will go without a coupon or a craving. However, send me a special and I will make an effort to head down there for breakfast bliss as soon as I can.

Good but super expensive. For me and my wife and our two toddlers to eat it cost us over $ 50…we could have had the same meal at Waffle House and been just as happy and fed for $ 20…or $ 30 at Bob Evans. The skillet meals are definitely unique to this place and worth trying if you’re not in the mood for traditional breakfast. The coffee is also outstanding and they serve it to you by leaving a pot on your table along with a pitcher of water. We were the first people in here one morning around 7am, we were promptly greeted and seated. Food came out pretty fast. The server forgot to bring my orange juice and brought it when I was done eating. At this point I didn’t want it anymore but paid for it anyway. Overall the food is pretty good just expensive. We will probably still eat here from time to time to have something different than Bob Evans since Waffle House is usually too far of a drive for us.

The best place for breakfast in Columbus, but not the best table and chairs, who can eat when all you want to do is leave because the seats in your car are more comfortable.

A great breakfast and lunch place. Their skillets are very good and filling as are the«Blends»(scrambled eggs mixed with various ingredients like sausage or veggies). My favorite is the Spicy Baja burrito. Eggs, chorizo and cheese all melted together… mmmm… My GF loves the pancakes and french toast(which is all you can eat). As a bonus, the Kids menu is available to all ages for the calorie conscious. The wait can get long on the weekend, and I think they’re only open to 3PM everyday. It’s kids friendly, and I think you get free coffee if you have to wait too long.
