Let me start off by saying that my lunch here was DEE-lish! L&L has fresher, higher-quality food options than they probably even need to. Very impressive. I had the turkey and cheddar panini on local spinach-herb bread and I seriously want to go back without my child just for that sandwich! On the down side, the prices for play are substantially higher than their competitors’. On the super down side, for me at least, my daughter(20 months) is going through a clingy stage and wouldn’t play in the play area without me at all. I had paid $ 10 for an hour, and even had a friend’s older daughter in there to console her, but she cried for five minutes before the play supervisor«released» her back to me. I definitely should have only paid for the half hour, but still, it would’ve been nice if they refunded half my money or comped me a cup of coffee or something. All in all I spent $ 24 total on my lunch, a muffin and juice box for my toddler, and the play time that wasn’t. So, too expensive to try again this summer, knowing how my child is with separation right now, but for slightly older kids who will definitely play independent of mom, this place is a win!

Today was my first time here and I loved it. How nice to be able to catch up with my girlfriend while our kids play in the supervised play room! Coffee was great, employees were friendly. The play room and café area were very clean. Lots of toys and things for the kids to do in the play room. There are big windows too so you can check in on your children. This will be a regular place for us :)

Visited this place today, and I have to say– it’s pretty cute and a really great idea! I am a nanny so I am always trying to find things to do. Play cafes have been a very popular choice since I normally watch children who are 5 and under. Lattes and lollipops is a little different from most play cafes. They have a separate room for playing which is enclosed from the actual café, and they have a care provider in the room with them to supervise and assist the children. I gave this café 4 stars because I do feel that it is a little pricey and I didn’t try the food, although it did smell pretty good. Overall– fun place. We will be back!

My daughter and I LOVE this place! The employees are always friendly, especially the ones working in the play room! They have more patience than I could ever have! The food/coffee/snacks are good and not a bunch of junk. I always have a hard time finding healthy snacks when we’re out and about, but L&L has good options. While my little one is playing I get to sit and relax a minute. Enjoy a cup of coffee, get some work done, maybe even read a book! Love it!

This is the best place ever. From their friendly staff, café style décor, kids toys and comfy seating you really can’t go wrong. Pay for your kid to play in a room away from you while you sip loose tea, latte or any other of their delicious drinks and munch on a sandwich. Check on them at their bar window and enjoy the quiet! My son is only 15 months so can’t comment on the toys, but he leaves tired with a smile on his face. Toys range from those to his liking to older kids, they even have a little bounce house!

Great place for the kids to beat the heat this summer. I have a 4 year old and 2 year old and they always enjoy their time at Lattes and Lollipops. Thanks to their free WiFi and supervised play it gives me an hour to catch up on phone calls and emails. Great concept, location and staff!

Great concept and executed well. Wish I had the collateral to open a place like this in the New Albany area. You walk in to the coffee shop and go to the counter to order your drinks/food and check in your child for their play time. They give you a sticker with the child’s name and the time their play time ends. You then sanitize their hands and takeoff their shoes(and yours if you are going in the playroom) and open the playroom door and a staff member will let your child in. The staff is very friendly and they are always playing with the kids, walking around to monitor, or assisting with bringing kids in and out. I always buy the quick play. Its 30min for $ 4. Our son is a cling on. We are hoping this place allows him to let himself happily play in an unfamiliar environment with caregivers other than mommy, daddy, and grandma. We have been 5 times and the best we have gotten is when they had a magic show and we got about 5 – 7 min on the other side of the plexiglass before our son realized we weren’t in the room and cried for us.(its a work in progress. lol) In the coffee area they have some comfy chairs/couches as well as typical diner tables and chairs. I like how they have a few baby toys in the coffee area for the non-walkers to have some fun things to play with while big brother and sister are playing, I have only ordered plain coffee but they seem to have some decent food selections…(soups, sandwiches, panins, salads) Nothing organic other than Annies fruit snacks so we play then go out to eat at Whole Foods. Try it out. Let your kid play and read a book or catch up with a friend.(free wifi as well)

Based on our first experience at Lattes & Lollipops we decided to have our second son’s first birthday party here. I was only peripherally involved in the party planning(in a «Oh yeah, that looks good… sure, go ahead and get it.») sort of way as this stuff is not really my forte. My wife and our nanny tell me that working with the owners and staff at L&L was a great experience and they were helpful with every detail from the cake to the catering and everything in between. On the day of the party, everything ran smoothly and the place looked great. Our guests(kids, adults and family) all had a great time. In the weeks since the party, my wife has received several compliments as well.
