We had a lovely dinner here last night. It is a beautiful restaurant in the gorgeous Hassayampa Inn. Lots of Art Nouveau touches along with Art Deco features. I had a delicious grilled pear and goat cheese salad. Two others in our party loved their stuffed poblano chile dishes. The service was attentive and professional. It was a great evening!

Wonderful friendly and attentive staff. The food was amazing. This place deserves more reviews. Make a reservation. It was busy but obviously these people aren’t Unilocalers. They are trying to keep it a secret. Amazing. We will be back. We were treated like royalty.

Started our day with breakfast — friendly service, very nice setting — great breakfast! The bacon was so delicious& eggs/pancakes very tasty. Would have liked a bit of fresh fruit on plate. Dinner was outstanding. The trout was excellent & accompanied by fresh veggies & b rice. Loved the warm bread out of oven. Again very attentive service.

We ate here after checking in rather late to the attached inn. There were 2 other tables when we arrived. It took a few minutes to get seated while they arranged our table. Service was SLOW. Very slow. The food was good — the trout was excellent the poblano chili plate was divine. However, the service was slow — nonexistent at times, and that really took away from our experience at The Peacock Room.

We went here for Thanksgiving dinner buffet. We made reservations in advance to have the dinner at 3:00. The hotel restaurant staff confirmed my reservation about a week before. On Thanksgiving Day we arrived at 3:00 and were asked if we had a reservation. That struck me as odd, but anyway the check-in hostess didn’t have a list of names so she wrote our name on a tablet and said it would be a few minutes. We were seated in a smaller room they had set upper the buffet but it wasn’t the Peacock room. The table was nicely set. The room atmosphere was kind of plain. There was an exit door and people were going out and this was letting in all the cold air on those of us in this room. It didn’t feel like Thanksgiving at all. No decorations whatsoever. We asked to be seated elsewhere and had to wait for about 20 minutes and got a seat in the official Peacock room. This room was nice, classy, and worth the wait. We ordered our drinks and went to the buffet room. There were tables of large buffet containers with the hot food. But what struck me was the mess people had made, dirty table cloths and spills. It looked like an Army brigade came in before us and ate. It wasn’t appealing to the eye. I asked if they had any bread and they said they had some in the center of the room. There were cold biscuits and butter. I loaded my plate and sat down. The waiter was really nice and very attentive to our needs. The food taste was just OK based on the price it was over rated. $ 40 per person. Not worth it. After dinner I went to get some desert. The bread pudding was really good. The pumpkin pie however was still hard from being frozen and had ice crystals. Uhhh… so sad. I wanted more for $ 40. So the total with tip and one glass of house chardonnay wine was $ 150 for three adults. We ended up going to some friends as we were invited earlier and had some of their food. It was much better. So the day was completely ruined.

I got the trout and it was delicious. My husband got the sirloin and loved it. It was cooked to perfection.(He likes medium rare and a lot of places over cook it). Service was great. Our server was very nice. There was a relaxed feel about the place. Don’t go here if you are in a hurry. But if you aren’t in a rush, it’s worth it. I got the bread pudding for dessert and it was huge! Very yummy. We were very pleased with the meal!

Historic and elegant atmosphere. Perfect for a date with your spouse and any special occasion. Try the spaghetti squash for lunch. Great vegetarian entrée and you won’t be sorry you skipped the meat.

Kinda bummed… I’ve eaten here 3x now… The first two times were great. This last time, not so much… Went there 9⁄6 with a party of 6… There was only two other parties there. Our waiter was not very attentive, our APPETIZER took almost an hour. A seared Ahi Tuna took THATLONG. It wasn’t even amazing this time either. Our steaks came forever to take, nothing amazing… Potatoes were cold… Overall the food was mediocre at best, the waiter was clearly judging our group, who all have money, and were willing to spend it. Sadly, I won’t be back.

We came here for breakfast after our first night of stay. The dining room is very elegant and yet still feels comfortable and causal. I loved that they used historic newspaper as placemats! My boyfriend ordered the standard eggs, bacon and pancakes and I had a fruit yogurt parfait. I was a little disappointed when the waitress said they didn’t have Greek yogurt just the regular Yoplait. There were not very busy with only a few tables full and it took a while to get our food. Nevertheless, we planned out the day while waiting for the food to arrive so it wasn’t a big deal. The food was mediocre and nothing out of the ordinary. In my opinion, the menu definitely needs to be updated to incorporate some creative dishes. Overall, we had a pleasant dining experience but the food left much to be desired.

If you have 2 hours to spare, then this restaurant will meet your expectations. This is the second time we tried it… and I’ve wasted a total of 3 ½ hours of my life now. Service is slowwwwwww. But sweet. They changed their menu since the last time we visited and took the one appetizer I loved off the menu, dip trio with amazing homemade chips. Well, you missed it, can’t get them now. The food is average with a few items above average(like the elk burger). But a warning: every meat we’ve ordered has been overcooked(we order medium rare knowing this and still end up with medium well meat). The scallop risotto is good, as is the seared ahi. The Alfredo has been very thin & soupy, but not bland. The building is neat and historic with a great location. But overall… I won’t be going here again unless somebody begs me to give them a third chance. And I’m starving. And I have time to kill. And money I don’t want.

What a wonderful fine dining experience! I had the filet migon and my Mom had the lamb shank with polenta. They were cooked to perfection! Even the French green beans had a twist with spaghetti squash on it! Wonderful and I’d come back in a minute!

Went here last weekend and it was great! Service was excellent and almost too attentive. The server helped choose the wine and went to ask another employee who has more knowledge re: wine prior to us deciding. The wine was just what we wanted. Had the prime rib that is $ 21 and it came with the most delicious spaghetti squash. Normally avoid spaghetti squash because its bland but I ate it all and wanted more. The prime rib was seasoned with enough salt to make it excellent and tasty. It was very tender. The baked potato was good with butter and sour cream. This dish came with a Cesar salad that was good too. I don’t think this place charges too much since I don’t know where else you could get a prime rib dinner for this price except maybe at a casino! Not sure why some other reviewers say its expensive. Maybe they normally go to cracker barrel? Anyway, my friend had the French onion soup that was correctly made because it had that deep taste that comes from using the right ingredients and slowly caramelizing the onions. It was served in a crock with the baguette slice and melted cheese on top. He also had the seared ahi that was very good. Definitely recommend this beautiful historic hotel and its restaurant!

They have an outside area that is dog friendly, the prices are reasonable, the ricotta pancakes are great with real maple syrup and home made raspberry syrup not to sweet and prices are very reasonable especially for a hotel.

Great place for date night. Dinner was delicious. Scallops were cooked perfectly. The lamb shank and polenta was one of the best meals i have ever ate. Service was great as well. I cant remember her name but she was Hawain. Very friendly and informative. The only reason i didnt give it 5 stars is it is on the pricey side and the ambience is a little out dated. But all in all great place for date night or special occasion.

Ambiance is top-notch, and waitstaff were the height of friendliness. Portions are HUGE and DELICIOUS! Definitely not your typical«run of the mill» restaurant attached to a hotel. We had the Eggs Benedict and the«Preskitt Breakfast» and were extremely pleased with the size and taste. If we’re ever back through Prescott we’ll stay at the Inn and eat at the Peacock Room! Décor and design is a pleasant throwback to the 1920’s, which we thoroughly enjoyed!

Great breakfast menu! I got the lemon soufflé pancakes and they were amazing! I’ve never had anything like them before — they were thin and basically melted in my mouth. The raspberry sauce topping was perfect for them too! Also got a side of bacon, which was generous portion. Service was attentive and friendly. Also, the prices are definitely fair considering how good the food is. Highly recommend!

Part of the fun of Prescott is the history and the HI is part of that. The public areas including the DR are charming. The food is pretty good, but noticeably overpriced. Service is spotty. Do it once for the experience

Had a really great time here at dinner. We didn’t have a reservation(arriving at the hotel not sure of our plans) and they seated us quickly and brought drinks as ordered. We started out with grilled pear salad and arugula salad. Really liked both. Somewhat unusual takes on them but it worked well. Then main courses were fabulous. Diet-wise salmon with quinoa and butter sauce was separate which was key. Really very nicely done and fresh. Stuffed pork chop spicy and delicious. The room décor was also great and very comfortable and convivial atmosphere. Service was attentive and professional. All in all a great hotel restaurant and a good choice if your spending the day in Prescott and want a great dinner.
