A small place in a strip mall off the Prescott beaten path. My husband had the special of the day which was pot roast and he raved about it. I had the tomato soup and greek salad. Both were very fresh and good but my mouth didn’t sing. By the reviews maybe I had my expectations too high?

Very good food. Very good service. We had the biscuit & gravy, the tamales and the chorizo tortilla. You can taste the superior ingredients. Each item was very fresh, creative and colorful, the pico de gallo was excellent! We didn’t leave room for dessert but I have no doubt that it would have been quality as well. We were satisfied without feeling bloated. Portions were just right. Highly recommended.

The food was delicious and I highly recommend driving to this little spot. It is a small venue but they are quick to seat customers and friendly. I am on a really strict diet and this place offers a menu I can select a variety of options. The food is fresh and cooked with coconut oil or olive oil.

Off the beaten path as far as downtown goes but we’ll worth it. All of the food was excellent. Tamale breakfast was great.

Don’t see many 5 Star ratings with almost 100 reviews so I try and check these out. I wasn’t disappointed. From the super friendly staff to the excellent food this place is top rated. The Local is appropriately named for both business and locally sourced ingredients. I had the huevos rancheros which I thoroughly enjoyed. From what I see on the menu, I want to try other items as well and will definitely be back soon! Update: third time back in a week! A record for me. This time I had the special of the day which was lemon and cheese pancakes with blueberry compote. Hands down the best pancakes I’ve had. Yum!

Every aspect of our family visit for brunch was fantastic. The service is outstanding and the food, fresh and delicious. Each menu option was carefully thought out for balance of flavor, color and interest. I could eat here every day. I asked for a herbal tea and was recommended to one made with both fresh herbs and florals. It was outstanding and I only wish I had had more room for their many dessert options.

Excellent breakfast! We all ordered something different and no one was disappointed. Even down to simple over medium eggs, they were perfect! The Dutch cake, flat pancakes, the local burrito, cinnamon rolls… all awesome! The staff was attentive, kind and welcoming! Get to The Local for breakfast… you won’t be disappointed!

Yes, this is a wonderful local asset. we are new to the area, and have been enjoying trying out many restaurants. we especially like locally owned businesses. we have heard good things about the establishment & great reviews. we had an introduction when we sampled soup from their restaurant at a local fundraising event, Empty Bowls, a couple of weeks ago. The Local was near the top of our list when we were planning on a weekend breakfast out. so glad we found it. it is a small space in a small strip mall with easy parking. we ordered a couple of the southwest specialities, Rancho Huevos, and the tamale with green chili gravy, scrambling eggs and sausage. both were excellent, including the loaded«smashers». The service was great & the atmosphere was very pleasant. we were seated immediately, but there was a short wait by the time we left. the owner came by and tempted us with a presentation of her freshly baked delights. we really enjoyed the banana bread & chocolate sheet cake we took home. The prices are a little higher than some of the other breakfast places we have tried, but the quality and originality of the dishes warranted the price. I’d rather spend more on a great breakfast or lunch than an adequate dinner any day. they already have us a new loyal & regular customers.

Fun colors. Small local restaurant as name implies. Locally sourced food as organic as possible. Banana bread is amazing, moist and mine was warm. Eggs cooked perfectly. Biscuits just like mom used to make, and my moms were the best. Their own coffee brew, care to detail, fast service in a bright, retro urban environment

Good quality food with above average ingredients and a nice twist to traditional breakfast faire. You pay a little extra for the locally sourced menu items and the premium may be too high for some. Breakfast for 2 with beverage and tip set us back $ 33. Nice to have the owners running the show supplemented with an attentive professional supporting staff.

I came to the local based on other Unilocal reviews and I must say they did not disappoint. I had the tamale with scrambled eggs with a side of fruit. It was DELISH! I also tried their hot chocolate that also featured their homemade whipped cream, YUMM! The staff is very friendly and conscientious of your needs. The also cater to vegan, pescatarian and gluten free peeps, that’s a plus for me. Great meal I will definitely be coming back before we leave town.

I am new to prescott and have been looking for a a good restaurant for months. Tried a few that were sooo disappointing but alas, The Local is absolutely delicious! My husband and I had to go 2 days in a row. First day we had the burrito with ranchero sauce and the huevos rancheros. I highly recommend both. The service was excellent and quick. The employees all seem to love the food there and that says a lot. They’re excited when they go over the menu with you. You have to try this place! Last but not least, the thin pancakes… omg. The maple syrup is delicious! Must try.

Outstanding!!! Saturday lunch and the place was hopping. Quick seating, attentive friendly service, and my order was delivered quickly.(Which is impressive because they are cooking fresh from scratch.) The owner also stopped by to say hello and show me the housemade desserts du jour. She had with her a freshly prepares Lemon Torte she had just plated to display. It looked so fabulous that I said I would have it right then before my main course. She said she’d be right back with one for me, but I insisted that I must have the one she was showing me right then. Now, I’ve have experienced many sumptuous desserts prepared by skilled pasty chefs, and I cannot remember one that I have ever enjoyed more. The delicous cake was tender, moist and rich with vanilla goodness, but not too dense. The lemon filling delivered a refreshing burst of lemon tartness with the perfect balance of sweetness. It was simply a delight! I sigh just thinking about it. For my main course I did a repeat on the Local Burger with Yukon Gold smashers on the side. I ordered it medium, and it was PERFECTLY cooked with a juicy, just slightly pink center. I will not attempt to describe the zen-like bliss that overcomes me when biting into this beautiful gift to carnivores. I will just say this: Burger Lovers! Listen Up! Clear your mind regarding any traditional style of burger you have ever had anywhere. Then, come to The Local, order The Local Burger exactly how its served and don’t change a thing. Just be prepared to experience something truly special.
