Jimmies Ice Cream Shoppe

Nice little place on the way to Foxwoods. Looks like it is family run as we were greeted by three people who were all as friendly as can be.
We saw all of the great reviews on Unilocal and headed over for lunch. Wasn’t sure what we would order expect for the hot lobster roll.
Their menu is pretty big but we just stuck with the hot lobster roll and a hot pretzel with cheese.
The lobster roll was $ 14.50 and came with a bag of chips. It was a nice size for the price and was very tasty. The pretzel was ok, definitely reheated but for $ 1.50 I didn’t mind.
I would give this place 5 stars just cause I would like to see them get business over the places in Foxwoods and Mohegan sun but the lobster roll is a must get. Will probably be back tonight for ice cream on the way home from the casino and will be able to review that as well.
Looks like the place opens at 12pm and was open past 8pm last night so although I don’t know the specific hours I’m guessing their open til 9pm.

Great selection of ice cream. They have a great selection from a local MA cremery as well. Did not try the food… only ice cream

I love this place! Excellent hot lobster rolls and clam chowder. And to top it off… Giffords ice cream. They have an extensive selection of ice cream. If you’re on your way to the CT casinos you have to stop here!

Our new favorite ice cream place. Lots of flavors at very reasonable prices. The food menu is surprisingly diverse. The owners, a couple, are as nice as could be.

A must try if you’re in the area! Don’t miss the lobster BLT if they have it that day. If not, the hot and cold lobster rolls are both fantastic and the clam chowder was creamy and generous with clams. We finished with ice cream all around. My kids couldn’t stop thanking me for stopping here.
The owners were so friendly and clearly they love their work — the amount of attention and care they put into cooking and serving their food shines through. They brought our stuff out to our table and noticed it was messy and cleaned it off for us before we could even ask about it. Awesome and attentive service made it even more of a pleasure to spend time there. What a find!

We love Jimmies! It just opened for the season and our son was so excited we have been there every night this week. It is refreshing to get great ice cream for half the price of the local competition. Great service and really yummy!

Really friendly little place. Casual with outdoor seating. They have hot or cold lobster rolls for under $ 12, plus an amazing ice cream selection, clam chowder and some sandwiches. Everything I had was great.

Awesome ice cream and food for a small place like this. Hot dogs are great and the turkey gouda grilled cheese was amazing.
