Love Eli’s! Nice little pizza and sub shop next to Lu Mac’s on Rt.2. We ordered a variety of items from their menu, pizza, grinders and apps. Pizza was above average, grinders BIG, apps delicious — no one was still hungry. Love the steak bomb but have to share(really big), love toasted grinders. Have eaten in and taken out, nice place, friendly staff.

A local pizza joint with good pizza Having the seafood platter and Eli’s special pizza as main entrée, it’s good The service is also great! Friendly and fast Highly recommended when you are in town

Very rude woman answered the phone, was laughing as she was telling me what they were out of. She was not helpful at all. You might want to think about updating your menu online — half the things on the menu they do not even carry anymore. Very misleading. Chicken tenders were great, but how can you mess up chicken tenders? Curly fries were amazing! Almost as good as Arby’s. My boyfriend had the shells with sausage and didn’t have much to say about it. No sort of flavor, and the red sauce was very bland. Kind of sad for an Italian place to not have good red sauce… Won’t be returning here. Very disappointed in the woman who answered the phone!!!

Located in between Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Casino, Eli’s pizzeria was a major disappointment. The pizza tasted like it came pre-made from the frozen food aisle. Typically I like to eat my pizza by hand, but this doughy mess fell limp and greasy when I picked it up with my hand. The wings, however, were good. Deep fried but not greasy they had a nice crunch to them. The staff was very friendly. However, three flies constantly buzzing around ruined the meal for me. Being from NY I have high expectation when it comes to pizza, so perhaps I am being a bit overly critical. However, I left Eli’s feeling worse than when I came in. But with decent wings and a very friendly staff they warrant two stars.

I stopped here for lunch and it literally is the WORST place I have ever patronized for food. Ever. The service was horrible and unfriendly, there were flies on the counter(right next to a very dirty flyswatter), the soda flat and watery, and the pizza IF you can even call it that(!) was disgusting. I literally choked down 3 small bites and had to stop, ask for my check, and leave. And when I told the«waitress» that the pizza was nasty she had the nerve to say she knew and thought so too and was going to mention it to the owner. Yeah, AFTER I order it, try to eat it in good faith, AND paid for it! I rarely have had such an awful experience and certainly rarely ever review about it – but this place was so bad, so awful and left such a lasting negative impression I wanted others to be forewarned.

This past weekend, we visited my husband’s 91 year old grandfather. He’s no longer driving and it seems that few places deliver food in the area. He mentioned how much he wanted a nice salad, some fried chicken and how much he missed pie. The next day I called the great people at Eli’s and they were so kind to deliver two orders of salad, fried chicken and carrot cake(close enough to pie). My husband’s grandfather was so happy about the food! He ate both orders and then called his kids to tell them about how great the chicken and salad and cake was. It was everything he was craving and I’m so grateful for the people at Eli’s for making it happen for him. When you are a 91 year old, World War II veteran, and two time cancer survivor, you should be able to have delicious fried chicken when you want it.

I ordered a meatball sub, which was pretty good — nothing outstanding. Service was friendly, a lot of regular locals go here. Decent place to grab a bite outside of the casinos.

I only get the meatball grinder or the sausage grinder with peppers. They are great. Whenever I am in the area I get one. Good food, good service.

So far I’ve only had a Greek salad(with creamy garlic dressing) and it was very, very good! Nice and fresh with plenty of Feta! We shared a small between 3 people. The service is friendly — everybody knows everybody kind of place. We always try to give locally owned and operated places our business — next time we’re going for the eggplant parm and a pizza!
