I was super excited to see the Merrell Outlet at the Primm Outlet Center. I don’t remember it being there when i was there a few months ago, but maybe I missed it. Anyway, I’ve been getting Merrill emails for a while now looking for a new pair of hiking boots and had planned to hit REI as soon as I was near one that was convenient and then I tripped over this store. Unfortunately, even though it’s an outlet the shoes and boots are still PRICEY! they were having a 30% off sale and if you get a pair that is over $ 100 you get $ 20 off with your Primm Outlets Green card(see the customer service booth for one of those guys) AND my dear mommy had a $ 25 gift card for the mall that she tossed in, so my $ 150 boots ended up only costing $ 90! Hooray… and they are GORGEOUS(see my photo up there!) I already spent a day wearing them so I could make sure to break them in and they were almost as like walking in a cloud as my last Merrells… just gotta get the lacing to the sweet spot. The woman working in the store was helpful and pleasant and made sure I knew of all of my discount options. I felt like they didn’t have a huge selection of women’s hiking boots, so glad I liked these, but they do have a great selection of shoes off all styles, running, hiking, sandals, etc… Overall, good store, nice products, good service.

Fantastic shopping experience. I didn’t even know they had Merrell outlets. Apparently, they are bundled in with the Hush Puppies store at the Las Vegas Premium Outlets(north and south). But this state line store has a bigger selection of actual Merrell product. Anyway, it was a fantastic shopping experience because of the one girl who was helping us. And of course, I totally didn’t get her name. But her enthusiasm and knowledge was incredible. I decided a while back to finally get a GOOD pair of hiking shoes instead of the usual cheap but good enough stuff I’ve bought in the past. I figured I’d end up easily spending over $ 100 for them. Luckily for me, when I asked the girl for a recommendation, she pointed me to a pair that are not only the most comfortable hiking shoes I’ve ever worn, they were on sale and only cost $ 57. And then of course, I went overboard and picked up a down jacket(something I’ve always wanted) and a pair of comfortable and light work shoes. But everything was such a great deal, I’d say the almost-two-hour drive among the California Thanksgiving weekend visitors was worth it.
