Ok let me start by saying as often as I have TRIED Tilted Kilt — I have ALWAYS left disappointed! My home town Raleigh location just flat SUCKS, and Wilmington has the college hotties so at least they have that. Tonight was the first GREATFOOD I can honestly say I have had — burger done to perfection and sweet potato fries spot on. So simple yet other locations struggle, I do not get it! TARA was a thoughtful and insightful server, great conversation etc.

We stopped in on our way back from Charlotte, I have always heard of the chain, never had the pleasure of eating there. It was very quiet, not many guests. That being said, they were a bit slow to get our orders, but once they did, the food came out quick and fresh. I got the french onion soup with fish and chips, it was light, fluffy, and the fish had a clean, crisp flavor. I loved it! The soup was cheesy, and the broth was not too salty, with a nice beefy flavor, plenty of onions too! Son had Cesar salad and shared the bbq pork mac & cheese with his sister, which was pretty damn super! Hubs had a south of the border chicken sandwich and that was pretty good too, it had roasted green chilies, pepper jack cheese, habañero salsa on it. All in all the food was really good, large portions and the waitress was adorable! Not all the girls were like the promo pics, but they were all really nice and my son ogled them all lol!!!

This is a cool place to hang out. Nice pub style place with a very nice bar. The waitresses uniform helps ease the boredom. They’re scantily clad and very personable. The burger I had was very good, and the garlic fries were great too. Our server Meara was awesome!!!

Never been to a place like this before, kinda sketched out by all the drunk kids at 7:00pm on a wens. The waitress was okay, very attentive. I ordered a club sandwich and fries, figured no one can mess up a simple sandwich… Got our food about 45 minutes after we ordered, and the fries were still freezing. Upon opening my sandwich to smear around the mayo(which I always do), I found a hair about a foot long attached in between the meat. I think if the waitresses are going to be going into the kitchen, their hair needs to be up! Just thinking about the possibility I could have eaten that hair still makes me gag. Completely unacceptable!

I’ve been coming to this place since it opened. I mostly come here as a chill spot for drinks and trash talking with a couple of my co workers. Well drinks are reasonably priced. The food has gotten better since the beginning. I mostly order the TK signature wings with fries. Not bad for your typical bar food. The kilt girls at the bar meh. They aren’t that attentive to the customers. Hmm… Oh well. Overall its not a bad place.

I was very impressing with the establishment up until the point where they told me I had to wait until they decided I was allowed to have another drink. I had had about 5 drinks and they told me I couldn’t have another unless I waited. If I am paying for a service then I expect to be given that service until I so choose to have it halted.

I wish I could give it more stars but I can’t. I came to this location many times when it first opened and the service and food was great. However, as the years have gone on the service and food quality has gone down. I have worked in the food business before and know when it’s busy and then when you’re just BSing. You notice how many tables your server has and what they do between the times they come to your table. I believe I am done coming to this location.

It is difficult to swallow being lied to by a restaurant manager. My last three meals here have been lacking any quality control. Burnt sausage, Frozen Cheese Sticks, and cold Steak. The kitchen manager, who will remain nameless other than to say B.T. out of respect for the owner, lacks the skill, conviction and INTEGRITY to insure your meal is the quality which you are paying for. Today was the tilting point. After receiving a cold steak, I asked to speak to the manager. B.T. arrived and began feeding me excuse after excuse as to how there could be nothing wrong with the meal. I demonstrated that the meal was served cold at about 80 degrees. I explained that a medium rare steak(my order) should be served at about 145 — 155 degrees. He stated that the steak did not sit in the serving window. It was pulled from the grill and immediately served. Later, after speaking with my waitress(who had spoke to the cook) informed me that the cook had indeed pulled the steak from the grill and set it aside because he had forgotten to cook the side dish… B.T. had knowing lied to a customer to hide his ignorance of the facts. I had only taken two bites of the meal, before passing it to the waitress to dispose of it. Later, I went to the Texas Road House and bought another meal. OH, did I forget to mention that the manager didn’t even bother to take the COLDMEAL off my bill. Today, after finishing a salad with salmon on top(which was very good by the way), the same manager came to ask how the meal was. He made the comment, ‘Was it cook to the required 140 — 145 degrees…’ I took this an insult and nothing more than his attempt to mock my prior statement. The comment was unnecessary as he would not go to other tables and quote the serving temperatures of their meals… Yes, I know Salmon is served at 145 degrees. The question is, does he know what is coming out of his kitchen? So after that, you might be asking… Why the four starts. The bartenders are outstanding, attentive and tend to remember a regulars drink preference. The waitresses are just as amazing! If you want fast friendly service, Amber, Cristy, Crystal and MOSTOFALL — THEAMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, &INTELLECTUALWONDER«SHANTE» the waitresses for you. That is not to say that the others are bad, just that I’m not naming everyone. and those three have been the best with me. I hope that I have not put off from giving this place a try for yourselves. Just be aware that not all of the managers have your best interest at heart.

The food is good, but the scenery is mediocre at best and the service a step lower than that. Each time I’ve been with different people, had different waiters, and would only see the staff on order, when the food comes out, and during payment. Also, they forgot to mention they don’t do free refills on coffee. But alas, the food is pretty good. After all, that IS what Tilted Kilt is known for, right?

Environment– Good themed atmosphere. Service– The bar service employees seem to be on point. Almost without exception the bartenders are curious and prompt. If you sit at a table is when things go down hill. As with other style restaurants like this the servers tend to gravitate to alone individuals(To obviously get some more tip $). If you are not in this category don’t expect excellence. Drinks– Beer is cold and at decent prices. Liquor and mixed drinks are expensive. Bathrooms– Not usually the most clean options available. A huge hole is in the bathroom wall and has been not be fixed for 2 months. How is not seen and fixed by management?

The drinks are over priced and watered down. The beer tower is the better way to go(if you like miller, coors, or yuengling). Just disappointed that we paid $ 20 for 2 angry lits and it tasted like watered down lemonade.

Ever walk into a strip club and think that you were going to catch something? This is the vibe you will get when you walk into the tilted kilt. That and the horrible smell, that will remind you of childhood experiences where you happened upon roadkill. Make sure you have an in state ID, as they will not accept an out of state ID.

Substandard food with substandard service. I really don’t know how you mess a salad up but they found a way.

Good food. We Ordered grilled wings and a wrap with a spinach salad with grilled chicken. The issues were we had a very unattentive waitress, salad was drenched in dressing and the fried were covered in parsley. Had i ordered the dressing on the side the salad would have been excellent. It appeared most of the wait staff was pleasant and efficient so the difference here between four And three stars was solely the server. Had we had any of the other four on a very slow night it probably would have been four stars.

The short version(out of 5) Flavor: 3 Originality: 3 Presentation: 3 Service: 5 Despite the poor reviews about service, I was still intrigued to try out the place. I went during lunchtime on a Wednesday. I was greeted and seated promptly. My server, Amber, was great at giving me her recommendations since it was my first time there. I went with the soft pretzels which had a great texture and the sauce that came with them was also pretty good. I went on my own and got the onion strings. They weren’t all that memorable. They were quite oily and lacked some crunch to them. Not sure if the oil temp was high enough. The saving grace was the sweet tangy sauce for dipping. Amber’s other suggestion was the fish tacos. They were well prepared and were decently portioned. I finished up with the Tilted Guilt. Fresh out of the oven chocolate chip cookie topped with ice cream. The cookie was soft and gooey and just plain delicious. If you visit there, ask for Amber. She is one of the charter servers and is great at her job(as evidenced by her regulars). I’d go here again.

Why are the servers writing on our coasters hating on my football team? Didn’t even say hi or what I would drink before they opened their mouth. I ordered the Burner(hot) wings which weren’t hot at all. No problem. I requested for a different wing. Then the manager came out and asked me what the issue was. So I explained it to him to which he responded he would bring me a sauce to Dip them in instead of giving me new wings. Lol. Why would I want to Dip the wings they already took and I don’t like in a sauce. Then I’d be doing ur job idiot. The waitress came by about every 10 – 15 min to refill drinks and then didn’t even bring me a new drink. Do not come watch football here. And the wings are tiny

Quick service, Good looking broads, men in skirts what more could you ask for? Spinach dip was tasteless. Burger felt less like meat and more like filler, couldn’t finish it. Yuk. Husband got fish tacos, those were super yummy, and the fries were too salty. Don’t think we’ll dine here again.

Hmm… I really don’t know about all the negative reviews either. Come to a sports bar w/half naked waitresses — how high are expectations? Anyway, I came w/a large group on a Sunday afternoon to watch football. We were there for hours(eating/drinking/drinking/eating)…the waitress wasn’t the greatest in the world, but I don’t think TK is known for its phenomenal service or incredible food. It was good enough w/normal bar food and the drinks kept on coming… There were multiple tvs and I don’t know that any game that was broadcasted was«missed» that afternoon. Will return!
