Convenient location and the certainty of finding vegetarian options for our vegetarian guests ensures we come back during Princeton day trips. Otherwise very average, though everything is fresh and overall economical. The chef does have a liking for lemon flavoring — especially the Greek soup(which I enjoy) is very lemony — so if you don’t enjoy that particular flavor, don’t order it! Entrées like the Athenian chicken and chicken Souvlaki are accompanied by rice with a sauce which also has a pleasant lemony flavor. Basic seating and service.

It is what it is. Really nice friendly service. Place was kind of run down(e.g., upolstery in the seating was ripped). Coffee was okay but not good. Omelettes were very good, but undercooked with runny eggs. They have an option on the menu labeled«Gluten Free Omelette», implying that their other omelettes have gluten in them? Waitress says Gluten free = no potatoes. lol. I’d certainly return for the great, friendly, service, but not for anything else.

Food well below average and very disappointing. Pork wrap was drier than Sahara desert and fries soggy. Service no better — provided feedback and got an ok.

Ate breakfast there, weak coffee, had to send back the runny omlet to be cooked more, cormed bef hash was right out of a can, NOT fresh as the server had specifically indicated and service was lacking won’t go back.

Prices were OK, but the food and service was subpar. I ordered the egg and cheese sandwich on a Kaiser roll. The roll was so stale it was inedible and the cheese they used appeared to be Velveeta — — orange and gooey. The egg itself had a greenish cast to it. It was a long time before the waiter finally returned and asked if everything was OK. But that point, the rest of my party had already eaten, so I refused his offer of a new meal after I told him about the stale roll(I didn’t mention the cheese or egg as I felt those were more personal preferences). Others at my table also noted the stale roll(two others also got the sandwich) on their sandwiches. He took $ 4 off the $ 60 bill as compensation. Also, they used canned mushrooms in the crepes — gross. Not recommended.

I’m conflicted with Zobra’s Brother. It is a decent place to eat in Princeton but the décor and the food did not wow or amaze me. I ordered the crab cake hot sandwich with potato salad and a side of dolmades. The crab cake sandwich was just that. The patty, lettuce, tomato, and bun. There was no flair, sauce, spice, or anything. It looked like no effort was put into presenting the dish. The potato side serving was a shot of potato salad. Increase your sides or don’t call them sides. The dolmades were okay but small. This is your middle of the road restaurant. You won’t be wowed but you won’t be too disappointed. You’ll be averaged(satisfied, I guess).

Their food was OK. For the price it was decent. However, for a self proclaimed Greek restaurant, the food was a little safe and bland. Spices are absent and made for the non Greek eating customer. The service was very proactive to the point where we thought they wanted us to finish quickly and leave, but there was no line of people waiting. I would probably go back for a simple wrap or cheap salad, but with low expectations. To put it in perspective, my lady friend just told me that if I bring her here again, she will not go. But I would go with the boys. This could be a five if the food was more ambitious and closer to their Greek roots. It’s like a kids menu for Greek food.(And I usually don’t give poor reviews)

The food was fresh and tasty and service was quick and thorough. Very reasonable for Princeton.

of the plethora of fun food spots to try in the area, zorba’s brother shoud not even come close to the top of the list. food was mediocre at best, and the sevice was a bit odd(quiet, not assertive, slightly confused). the waiter and busboy? split the responsibility of waiting on our party of 4 early on a gorgeous summer sunday evening. we dined outside, and the location directly on nassau street combined with perfect weather was the highlight of the evening. prices are high for the sub-par diner quality dishes served, but i guess they have to pay their princetonian rent somehow. greek side salad was large but was all iceberg lettuce, with a few tomatoes and a triangle of feta cheese on top. how is this a greek salad at a place that markets itself as mediterranean?! balsamic chicken wrap was just okay. and the falafel sampler looked like some pre-packaged mediterranean samples thrown onto a plate. the spanikoptia was a dry, almost empty triangle of overcooked dough. pretty much what you’d get from the freezer section of your grocery store. the hummus and pita were alright. the dolmades were tasteless. the falafel was definitely not homemade. they looked like little hockey pucks, but they were thankfully not overcooked. overall, just barely okay. definitely better food in the area for the price. oh, and they have a breakfast menu, but why wouldn’t you walk a few more to pj’s pancake house for legit pancakes and omeletes?

This is a very nice restaurant. On a warm day, sit outside on Nassau Street in order to feel the vibes of Princeton. While the food is far from being genuine Greek, as seems to be the case in most Greek restaurants around here, you will find many delicious options. My favorite is the«real Greek» salad, called Horiatiki Salad, with blocks of feta, tomatoes and cucumbers, and a very light dressing of just olive oil and red vinegar. The dolmades are always fresh, and there’s both tyropita and spanakopita. The wraps are also good. The service is fast and the waiters are funny or at least nice. This is also one of the cheaper restaurants in Princeton. Don’t miss it, if you like Mediterranean food!

Okay so this was my favorite place to dine, until I moved. It was perfect for me as I made my transition to being a vegetarian(and yes I know how obnoxious that sounds). I haven’t heard the BEST about the American no vegetarian food, but they always have fresh fries which taste amazing. They have really nice veggie sandwiches, I liked to kind of make my own wrap w/roasted red peps, eggplant, mozzarella cheese and baby greens. Phenomenal. Hummus is amazing and home made, but hands down best tazatiki sauce I’ve ever had. Stuffed grape leaves are amaing, and they have this ridiculously good lemon soup. I would definitely suggest this place, however stick to the greek food and veggie options, cause they’re literally the best I’ve ever had. I live in California now and I miss that place every day.

We’ve only had Greek food here, but we always enjoy it. We’re vegetarian and enjoy getting the vegetarian sampler for good variety. Their tzatziki is also very good — flavorful without being overpowered by any one flavor. For vegetarians, great place to get flavorful, clean food without sacrificing variety. Friendly and relaxed, and very affordable!

Yum, yum, yum! There is nothing bad to say about this place… I had a delicious chicken souvlaki that came with warm pita and a fresh Greek salad that was not all lettuce! My souvlaki was served over the best lemon rice pilaf I have ever had. OMG, so good! My husband had the moussaka, also with pita and Greek salad. We wandered in solely because their AC was pumping and it was a viciously hot day and I am so glad we did. Service was quick, very friendly, no annoying loud music that seemed to be the theme in the 5 plus places we walked in and walked immediately back out of. I’m definitely a fan of Zorba’s and will be back whenever I venture into Princeton! Also, I cleared my plate… I am not a big eater so the fact that I gobbled everything down tells you right there… AWESOME food.

Not that good, service was horrible. If your going to be a bad restaurant, at least be cheap. This place has all the bad parts of a diner or Coney, but none of the good. Its a shame because its a great location and it would be nice if it were worth going back for. Café 44 is a much better place if you want breakfast with out waiting in PJ’s line.

Great location and pleasant staff with broad menu. Food was good but a little on the pricey side for quality and portion.”

The service is very good but the food is mediocre. I felt like I was eating at the commons in the university. The portions are pretty large though. I got two large veal patties as part of my meal and I could barely finish one. Yet I didn’t find the value that compelling either.

I used to come here ALL the time when it first opened, but now I live in NYC. The food was consistently really good diner food and the service was always friendly. A great diner is rare, but Zorba’s is one of them.

Food is decent. Service is an atrocity. We waited for 15 min for a table when it wasn’t that busy, and had to ask for refills on our coffee multiple times before we actually got them. My sandwich was okay, although the portion was rather small for the price. The fries were crispy and hot, though. The breakfast options are usually pretty good, but do tend to be on the pricey side. We asked for separate checks, but they forgot and would only split the check evenly because they were«busy». Not that big of a deal but still a bit annoying. I mean, you did agree to give us separate checkswhen we first asked. I would just head down the street to PJ’s.

Epic Fail. Yesterday, I looked at the reviews and decided to post a four-star review, as I headed over to Zorba’s to meet a few out-of-town friends. «Why such a bad rap?» I thought — and figured I’d help boost the reviews of this place that I’d been to twice before, and enjoyed. Well, I went there yesterday for lunch. Today, I woke up deathly ill, and proceeded to kick off 2010 by vomiting. Nice. I’m still sick but my family is taking care of me. The three of us had different items — not sure what took us all down — but we suspect Zorba’s as we all went our separate ways and are all deathly ill today. Now I will add that I’m sure they run a good business and are decent people. But food poisoning is the one thing that cannot happen when you run a restaurant. I will touch base with them to see if they will do anything for us.

Zorba’s Brother is way too expensive for the quality. Sitting on the main drag in pretty little Princeton it’s easy to see why — it’s sitting on prime real estate so they pay through the nose on their rent and take it out on the legions of preppy kids, alumni, and passers by with high disposable income. Anything that isn’t pancakes will run you upwards of 10 $(14 – 16 $ for their gyros, 9 $ for sandwhiches). Their pancakes are crap. Soups unimpressive — potato was gelatinous rather than creamy but tasted ok. Lentil had tasted alright but was in dire need of pepper or some spice. Service is ok. The one waiter definitely speaks english but it always feels like a challenge communicating with him — not in a fun challenging way but in a «no seriously, why dont you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth?» kind of way. Food doesn’t take long to come out. They said they close at 8:30pm on Tuesdays. What? The bottom line is that this is Princeton — there are plenty of options if you want to blow 15 $ on a mediocre meal. Try to not let it be here. If you want soup and a sandwhich or a salad, go to Panera Bread or Hoagie Heaven up the street and save yourself some time and $.
