this is one of my favorite stores on Kauai. My family stays in Princeville and plays in Hanalei. their jewelry is unique. tons of great finds, that you wont see anywhere else. I just called the store and they are emailing me photos so that I can pick out some xmas gifts. definitely a must go to if you are a shopper

While eating our dinner at Hanalei Dolphin we spotted some lovely freeform goblets in a slelf in Ola’s window. The next time we ate there we went in and found it to be an absolutely delightful gallery owned by a wonderful woman named Sharon with whom we entirely enjoyed talking. I ended up getting two pairs of hammered silver earrings made by a jewelry artist in upstate NY. One pair is very zen and simple looking; the other a swirl. It is a store that I know I will visit again and again. Sharon has a GREAT eye for merchandise. Kudos!

A great little art gallery located right next door to the Hanalei Dolphin. We wandered in after lunch one day and were excited to spot paintings by the same artist whose work we’d been admiring over lunch next door: very whimsical, fun, exaggerated oil paintings of the islands. Turns out they’re done by the husband of the lovely woman who runs Ola’s. Ola’s offers all kinds of wonderful art and other products from Kaua’i. Ceramics, turned wood, paintings, jewelry, and a lot of fun kids items. Not your typical cheesy Hawai’ian souvenirs, and a really great place to spend some time browsing and chatting with the owner, who is delightful and graciously allowed me to snap a few pics of the interior(because Unilocal needs to know!). The only drawback to the gallery is the pricing on some of the items. I realize we’re on Kaua’i and that we’re talking about one-of-a-kind art here, but some of the prices are outlandishly and inexplicably high.

Beautiful little gallery right next to the Dolphin restaurant in Hanalei. Very nice pieces of art work in the store. A variety of wood, leather, jewelry, art glass, and various other little gifts one might love to own. The staff very friendly and helpful, did an excellent job wrapping them up for the journey home too! Expensive things but in the grand scheme of things you really do get what you pay for! and quality should not come cheap! and artist’s need to make a living too!
