Do not be fooled by the location. Pleasant, fast and definitely a 5 star chilled cheese with tomato basil. Don’t just take my word. My wife is a grilled cheese aficionado. She gives it 5 stars also. Next time I gotta get bacon!

I love grilled cheese, and for that reason, my body pulls me towards this stand when I’m at the mall. They have a nice selection of add-ons to the basic grilled cheese and have the requisite tomato soup accompaniment. However, I’ve never been wowed by either the service or the final product. The food works well for what it is — food court food.

I paid $ 12.50 for a grilled cheese with a slice of roast beef on it, a small cup of macaroni and cheese, and a 12 oz. diet Coke. The macaroni was below Kraft in quality and the sandwich was tasty but small. Needless to say, the price was far too high. This would be a good concept at a ballpark where getting gouged is expected. As for this specific restaurant, the salesgirl did not want to be there and a thank you was probably the last thing I should have expected her to utter to me.

$ 15 for 2 grilled cheese sandwiches, chips and a drink? Maybe if there was actually something special about the grilled cheese sandwiches, but unfortunately, there is not. The best part about Cheeseboy is the cool boxes the sandwiches come in. Maybe if they called themselves a «panini» establishment I would feel differently. I come here to get grilled cheese, that is their thing, and it’s nothing better than something I could make at home for 1⁄8 of the price. Total ripoff.

Needed to grab something quick before the PBruins game and hit up this location. My oldest had the Turkey Bacon grilled cheese and my youngest & I both each had a Chicken Bacon Ranch grilled cheese. No one had anything bad to say & enjoyed our sandwiches. Nice touch giving Andes Thin Mints to finish off you meal.

Sometimes you just want a down a dirty grilled cheese, or something with a bit more pizzaz to it well here you go its quick and delicious. The only thing I don’t like it that its in the mall. I feel awkward eating a grilled cheese in a food count call me what you will.

Solid sandwich shop that I hit each time I’m working The PVD™. All food is made fast, fresh and using tasty, top quality ingredients. This isn’t fancy by any stretch. It’s a grilled cheese sandwich shop. But for $ 7 or so, I got a nice sandwich, chips and a drink and left feeling satisfied. They even signed me up for their club card that apparently gives me free sandwiches and such as I make further purchases. For a quick lunch when I don’t have time to grab something substantial, this place rocks. It’s a great concept, clean and neatly administered. They have soup, too. I’ll have to partake someday.

This place is definitely the best option for a quick bite to eat at the mall’s food court. While somewhat greasy, Cheeseboy’s sandwiches are nowhere near as sinful as the cornstarchy, sauce-laden, fried things served at some of the neighboring stations. I rarely eat at the mall, but when I do, it’s usually to get a simple, no-frills grilled cheese here. It’s easy to eat, comes in a cute little cardboard box, and really hits the spot. If you do want more adventurous toppings, they offer additional kinds of cheese, meat, tomatoes, and peppers on different kinds of bread. I’ve tried the chipotle chicken and classic tomato basil combos, and both were decent, although at the end of the day I prefer the straight up cheddar. Tip: Cheeseboy also has a pretty good rewards program… an almost too good rewards program! Shhhh… if you can believe it, I’ve actually only paid full price for 2 sandwiches here, ever! The others have been free or discounted somehow just for 1) signing up for the rewards card, or 2) filling out brief surveys online from links on their receipts. It’s kind of ridiculous. As long as Cheeseboy keeps giving me free sandwiches, I’ll keep eating them!

Faster’n-fast-casual Consistently smily service Tasty meals on the fly For what it is, Cheeseboy is a well-played ace in the hole. The Turkey Clubhouse(Italian bread, muenster cheese, turkey, hickory bacon, dill pickles) and Tomato Basil Classic(Italian bread, white American, sliced tomato, fresh basil) are solid, as are the soups. Great to grab and ramble. It’s food court, yet not. In more Spanish-speaking populations, I would enjoy seeing Cheeseboy branded QuesoNino. Perhaps that’s just me. Lacking that, I enjoy saying«Cheeseboy,» as well as frequenting it. This is a fine little walk-by option in the mall.

My husband and I went to the mall food court for a quick lunch, and decided to try Cheeseboy. We each got a sandwich + soup. The food was great — it was much lighter than I expected something like grilled cheese to be, which made it very pleasant. We had fresh basil on our sandwich, and were pleasantly surprised to find they put plenty on! We were also really impressed with the service — the employees were very attentive to the customers. Overall, great experience, and we’ll definitely be back in the future.

Every once in a while you just need cheese. Well, I might just need cheese more than every once in a while… but you all get the point. When in the mood for a grilled cheese and not close enough to home to go make one, this place hits the spot. Working right across the street from the Providence Place Mall has it’s pros and cons but this place goes right on my pro list. A great addition to the malls food court is Cheeseboy! You can so as simple as your basic cheese on white bread to fancier specialty grilled cheese sandwiches with style. Try the Tomato Basil Classic«Italian bread, creamy white American, sliced tomato & fresh basil» Delish. The only reason this place was not a 5 star for me was the bread to cheese ratio; maybe it is just me but I like my grilled cheese a little«drippy over the sides good» and Cheeseboy keeps things very neat. They have a variety of things to put in your grilled cheese and you can personalize to your specific taste. The prices are fair and the service is quick. Perfect little lunch for on the go, check it out!

Cheap, delicious, made-to-order grilled cheese sammiches coming soon to a food court near you? We can only hope! I tried The Cheeseboy Classic with an add of red onions at the Providence Place location. Perfect pre-beer fest base layer. I’ll be back!

Interestingly enough, it was Barstool’s Portnoy’s hatred of Cheeseboy that intrigued me enough to try it out. The place is kind of cute in trying to differentiate itself from the other fare in the food court. But make no mistake, this place is as much a part of the food court industrial complex as the people who tempt you with stir fried chicken. The concept is simple and it shows, as the final product leaves a little to be desired when you’re done. It’s sad, because this place could be so much more. Start with three basic combos($ 3.29) or the make your own(mysteriously 3.79) and add your toppings from there. Although there are a variety of cheeses like cheddar, american and swiss, customization of bread and cheese combos is for some reason forbidden. That should be part of the fun with a place like this. Not so with the premium placed on mixing and matching. From there you go to standard sandwich add ins like bacon, turkey and veggies with a charge for each. I settled for the classic with spinach, bacon, tomato and onion. It tasted divine and made for a nice meal. But the extra hassle to customize your sandwich, the cost of add ins that pile up and that nagging feeling which says,”$ 6.50 for something I could have made at home?,” put a damper on the lactic high. I like this place and may be back, but probably won’t be a regular. Let me say again, my sandwich was great. But there’s just something about this place that prevents it from making it to the four and five star levels its capable of.
