A true gem. Introduced to this place by some coworkers, and it did not disappoint. Home cooked Italian that is out of this world good. Order something off the board in the back, sit back, and enjoy. I really don’t want to write more here, Gesualdi’s speaks for itself, just go. Cash only, limited hours, usually a wait to sit down, but worth it every time.

I go here as often as I can. The food is fantastic, the portions are great and the customer service is great. The bottom line is simply this: if you like authentic Italian food served by real people this is your place.

If you’re looking for a local Mom & Pop place, this is it! Literally everybody knows your name! Everybody that walked in seemed like family and treated each other that way. Even though there were separate tables everyone was talking to each other. The wait staff already knew what most already wanted before they ordered. Very friendly(even though we were newbies), delicious, generous portions and priced right! The phone was blowing up so apparently the word is out! I got fish & chips and the fish was HUGE, fresh & deep fried… but not too greasy. My wife had the shrimp Gianni with a vodka cream sauce. Seemed like jumbo shrimp and plenty of it! Sauce was very flavorful with fresh basil. If we lived here we would definitely frequent this place!

The most rude servers I’ve ever come into contact with. Save ur money and just order take out, unless u want to be treated like ur unconvincing them and told u need to leave because people are waiting to be sat. The food is phenomenal though

Gesualdi’s is a very small«mom & pop» place. No cocktails. No frills. Not impressive when you walk in. However, the food is very good. It’s a Local neighborhood favorite especially for breakfast. I like to go here on a Friday to indulge in some great seafood dishes. If you like red clam chowder, this is the place to try it. Dine in or take out. Another favorite is a black board special: shrimp scampi«Pete’s Way». Huge fresh shrimp with spinach, roasted red peppers in a scampi sauce over pasta. Just be sure to tell them«easy on the butter. » Note: this place closes early so be sure to check their hours

Great little place for lunch, small inside and usually have to wait for a seat but food is well worth the wait. Menu board changes daily and daily dessert special is always delicious, red sauce is delicious. Waitstaff is all very friendly definitely a hidden gem!

Very, very delicious(and substantial) seafood medley here today with clam and calamari red sauce. Gesualdi’s is small, cozy and friendly with what looks like a very regular crowd. My lunch partner wimped out and had fish and chips but he did say it was good. Only two bar stools were available so I’m assuming everything on the menu must be pretty good — they ran out of snails while we were eating! Seems like 11.30−12.30 is the busy time so you might want to arrive later — unless you want the snails! Closes at 2pm. Now I have to lie down and wait until the basketball in my tummy goes away.

how do you review a place like gesualdi’s? do they make the most fantastic food you’ll ever eat? probably not, but it’s damn good. do they make a great cup of coffee? unfortunately, no. do they open for breakfast on the weekends? no, and it just blows my mind.(they also close at 2pm every day except fridays) but… do they make a REALLY solid breakfast and lunch? yep. do they have ridiculous lunch specials like a big hunk of grilled salmon for something stupidly cheap like $ 8? yep. can you get a monster veal parm the size of your head? yep. can you get buckets of red sauce to go? yep. can you listen to pete scream obscenities from the kitchen after the giants lose? yep. can you listen to the clientele loudly/hilariously recant inappropriate stories so the entire joint can hear? yep. are you going to enjoy yourself? yep. gesualdi’s is about more than just the good food. in fact i’d say the people are half the experience, and if you hang around for a while you’ll start to feel at home. but if that’s not gonna cut it for you, the food is way better than it should be for the price. especially lunch, which, considering the venue and the prices, always features delicious italian food that’s prepared in a way that exceeds expectations. a local classic.
