You gotta try the sticky chicken!!! No place in the world makes it like they do. I always try to get the secrete sauce they use but they won’t tell me.

Not unlike one of my past fav. ‘livery joints, «Wok N’ Roll», Gold Pot specializes in some of the cheapest«Latinized Chinese» around the ‘hood. Lucky for me, I literally live across the street which means a convenient, inexpensive dinner option for those lazy Friday nights. Unfortunately, their food isn’t quite as good as its Cranston Street brother. Despite having lived here for nearly three months, I’ve only actually stopped in once. Not so lucky for me. Their menu is pretty standard but it’s the overall quality that seems to be lacking. The fried banana/chicken combo certainly wouldn’t have been so terrible if it didn’t look and taste like it had been chillin’ in a back room for three hours. Still, with a massively cheap four dollar price tag, it could have been a lot worse. Oddly enough, the(white) rice was fluffy, tasty and fresh. Go fig. While the food was less than impressive or memorable, I’m willing to give Gold Point another shot considering we had ordered out relatively late in the evening: my order could have easily been a minor fluke in the ever expanding world of take-out. PS — Should you stop in, leave those credit cards at home: cash only.
