Was driving through the area while running errands before Christmas and was craving some fried chicken/fried rice and what’s better than quick and cheap — wait, don’t answer that. Ordered a half fried chicken with pork fried rice and a small order of fried gizzards for the mister — he likes snacking on these! Don’t ask or judge until you’ve tried some, lol. Not located in the best area, so if you’re not used the mean streets of Providence — I suggest you order ahead of time, pick up your order and be on your merry way! The interior of the place wasn’t bad — but it’s all business. There are tables but very evident it’s mainly a takeout joint — order, pickup, leave. My fried chicken was a little overcooked so it was def crispy and lacked a bit of flavor but nothing a bit of sweet chili sauce couldn’t help fix. Rice was good and sufficient. My bf enjoyed the gizzards very much with a side of sriracha — he thought they were a bit salty, but I thought they were fine. I’d prob go elsewhere for takeout but this wasn’t the worst I’ve encountered.

This is a Chinese/Latin mom and pop neighborhood hybrid that is fairly new and thus above average compared to similar Chinese style restaurants. Everyone I have seen work here is Chinese. Items I’ve tried that have been above average: young chow fried rice and chow mei fun(all). Lunch specials are about $ 5 and offer Americanized Chinese food like General Tso’s, which is actually pretty good here if you’re into fusion Chinese like at Panda Express(don’t lie foodies, you kinda like it sometimes… Palate cleanser!) ;). Most pint size dishes run about $ 5 and can feed 2 people in terms of daily calorie allowances. There are more independent Chinese restaurants in this country than there are McDonald’s, and this one isn’t a bad option for quick, easy, and probably a little greasy. Still need to try the Latin influenced Chinese food, since most of the Latin customers I’ve seen here appear happy with it. Zero ambiance(but that’s ok bc carry out is quick)-2 stars, A-ok for food– 3 stars + 5 stars each for price and fast service = 3 stars. Worth a shot. Cash only.
