Went with some friends for a quick sampling of local brews. Everything was delicious. Keep in mind that they are a brewery, and can only serve an individual 12 ounces. One can break up the 12 ounces as they please, for example, you can have 4 oz of three beers, 3 oz of fours beers and so on. I chose to do a 4 oz of three beers. My favorite was the Black Cat Pale Ale. A glass was included in the tasting and it was a super cute can shaped glass with the Black Cat Pale Ale graphics. The pale ale was slightly hoppy with a nice bite. I also had the ‘Nuff Said and their Friday beer, which was a spin on the ‘Nuff Said and you can only get on Fridays, that was also tasty. The interior design was on point and hip. Check out the bathroom if you can, lots of cool art in there. I am excited to go back in a month and see what’s new.

Fabulous experience at this new addition to the West End. We snuck in just prior to closing time on a Thursday and were treated like old friends. Generous pours of 4 distinct brews and a top off for our favorite — the Black Cat. Tropical fruit hops? Yes please! Although we begged and begged they wouldn’t give us a sneak peek of the Firkin Friday(cask ale released each Friday). Guess we’ll just have to go back… And back!

Long Live Beerworks is a great addition to the blossoming Rhode Island craft beer scene. With breweries popping up left and right the past couple years it’s great to see a new one in Providence of such great quality. I went on a Thursday night and there was not a huge crowd which was nice as we were able to sit and chat with the tasting room server(not the owner but rather his buddy although the owner was there as well). He was super easy to talk to and very informative. The space itself is great. From what we were informed the owner’s wife did all the decoration designs which she did a great job on. It felt like how a tasting room in the middle of the city should feel; modern and classy without being pretentious. The beer was excellent. I believe a few more have been added since my visit but while there I was able to try the Milk Milk stout, Black Cat pale ale, and ‘Nuff Said IPA. All were great, my favorite was Black Cat and according to the server has been the most popular. After the tasting growlers are available and growler refills are always available. I left with some extra Black Cat and plan to return to fill up soon! Long story short support local business and support local beer by coming here!

I now have a brewery in my neighborhood, is there anything better? Right now they have three beers on tap and it sounds like they’ll be rotating with other selections from their web site. Hours are listed clearly on the web site and Facebook and they’re currently open on Wednesday!
