Went here after yoga class. I had the carrot BLT $ 8 + sweet potato fries $ 2. So amazing!!! Idk if it was because I was starving or if the food was actually delicious… or a combination but it was quite amazing. I also tasted the burrito and it was okay. Very healthy. Maybe if we added some avocado it would be awesome. The Mac and cheese was okay too. Not cheesy enough. I enjoyed my meal very much though! Super cute place.

My wife and I were lucky enough to have Katie and the staff at Easy Entertaining cater our wedding last year — for which we are forever grateful as working with them was a breeze and the food was amazing. Since then we make it a point of stopping into the café for lunch or for their semi-regular burger night and the staff goes out of their way to greet us and ask how we are doing. The rotating lunch menu is always delicious, and the burgers on burger night are unreal. You’d expect to have a somewhat limited menu for such an infrequent event, but there are countless delicious options for everyone’s taste. The food is tremendous and original, the beer and wine selection is strong, the location is unique and charming — and finally, the staff and service is remarkably genuine.

A surprisingly airy and cozy interior considering the unassuming exterior. We got one of each of the regular donuts(cinnamon sugar, glazed, chocolate glaze) and the flavor of the week — rum raisin. I mainly had the cinnamon sugar which was incredibly light yet chewy. I didn’t think I would like rum raisin but the dough had a mild rum-my flavor that wasn’t too overpowering, and the raisins were, for better or for worse, just sprinkled on top. Would definitely love to try again, as well as have some of their other food!

I like this room a lot, super friendly service(Frank is adorbs). And a really sweet, beautiful and cozy room. The food is locally sourced and really fresh, which is such a plus. They make a hell of a burger, man. Seriously, just get there for burger night! My only complaints would be a somewhat limited breakfast and lunch menu, and often blandish dishes.

An absolute favorite lunch spot. I love how many healthy options they offer. Great casual setting, cute bar area and an always friendly staff. Looking forward to trying it for breakfast soon!

We went here for a Valentine’s Day dinner and have been back several times for lunch. Easily one of the best restaurants in PVD. Delicious doughnuts too.

I had initially posted this to the catering page so I just changed it when they responded telling me. Had one of the food fights iced coffee coupons and when I use these I always purchase an item as I want to obviously support the business. I was shocked when the size of the free iced coffee was equivalent to a shot but I did want to try their food as well. I ordered the egg sammy to go(English muffin, cheese, maple pork sausage), I finished the shot of coffee while waiting for it. I got to work and when I opened it, the sandwich was super greasy but the sausage serving was plentiful. Took one bite and realized the skin was still on the sausage, see picture… gross! I was told that this was common for the type of sausage they have, just wish I had known. At every iced coffee place I have gone to on the Food Fights I have purchased a sausage breakfast sandwich(the woman who had kindly responded to my prior review had assumed that I only eat Dunkin Donuts breakfast sausage sandwiches — -I would never eat that!) So all I have to compare this coffee shop to is the others I have visited along the way who participated. All of them have provided a regular size iced coffee and their sausage breakfast sandwiches were not greasy. So this place looks really cute inside, seems to have some great items on the menu but honestly I had such a poor experience from the shot of coffee(which was strong and delicious – due to this I did change my review to 3 stars vs 2 even though the sandwich really bothered me) but a poor representation and the greasy sandwich with skin on the sausage, I don’t want to return. I wish they had taken the opportunity to bring in business through this Food Fights promotion and really create new business but unfortunately this didn’t happen with me.

The space is beautiful. It really does look like Anthropologie. One day I rushed over for the Donut Fridays that I heard so much about. I was expecting a casual coffee shop setup but when I arrived, two people were standing there waiting(to be seated?) and a waiter was taking someone’s order at a table. There was no one working at the counter. At this point I was a little nervous because I did not want a sit-down meal, just a donut. After a couple of minutes, the people in front of me gave up and left because they were also confused. I waited a few more minutes until the waiter was done and asked if I could just get a couple of donuts to go. I felt bad for him because he was running all over the place. I waited some more and eventually he had to call for someone else to get me the donuts. The whole thing took far too long. Maybe if you’re going to promote Donut Fridays so much, have someone stationed at the counter? I still don’t understand if it’s a sit down restaurant or whether I can pick up something to go. The donuts were delicious but it will be tough to give it another try. They keep«stay-at-home-mom» hours, 8 – 2 and I ain’t got time for that. And the way that they respond to any small criticism is just peachy.

Stream of consciousness(and potential ellipses abuse)… Yay! Parking… I didn’t know Anthropologie has food… oh… I heard this song at Urban Outfitters(accompanied by a fleeting moment of shame that I made the connection)… No espresso?!! Do you have beer for breakfast? Mm, this donut tastes like grandma’s and are served on grandma’s dishes. I like grandma… Final thoughts: The food’s alright, the drinks ok, the space is future party rental worthy… I’m just wondering why Easy Entertaining isn’t selling T-shirts.

There are a number of reasons one might want to stop in at The Café at Easy Entertaining, but what stands out to me is the sublime level of service. The there consists of some of the friendlier people that I have had the pleasure of meeting. The second thing that stands out to me, and admittedly I’m not sure I want to let everyone in on this, but they have donut Fridays. I have an undying, and probably unhealthy, love for donuts, but with DDs on virtually every corner in surrounding region, a decent one can be hard to find. So you can imagine my delight at finding somewhere to sit down and enjoy a donut & coffee. Desert items aside, the«real» food is good too. It’s a little on the pricier side, but if you’re OK with that, it’s worth every single penny. The 1st time I was there I had already eaten dinner, but after observing my dining compatriots, I decided to eat again. The burgers just looked too good for me to resist. The atmosphere is outrageously comfortable too. The tables are nice, the lighting is bright and natural, and for the relatively small size it still feels remarkably spacious. Fair warning though, if you’re buying the last donut on a Friday morning, I might try to fight you for it.

Upon visiting the café on several additional occasions, I only have continued praise. Frank always greets you with a smile and is a kind server. The atmosphere is always happy, but how could it not be with a room full of people eating the most delicious food in Rhode Island. Oh and the food. Oh the food… They are simply unable to serve something that is just delicious. Everything is fresh, local, and out of this world. I now visit the café at least once weekly. Did I mention the extremely reasonable prices?!

Soooo the fabulous Lisa O invited me to attempt to «crash» their tapas night… unable to get ahold of them via the telephone we showed up shortly prior to 7 for a comfort food tapas night. Holy moly, I am so glad we got a table, and that we spent so long meandering and hanging out in their«best friend’s dining room» ambiance. First, they had amazing non-boozy drank options. Any, never mind a handful of seltzer options(and Yacht Club, at that!!) will win my heart. Ice tea and Yacht Club were delivered fairly quickly. Then we placed our items for the tapas style experience. Sweet potato fries and chipotle aioli, divine. Kale chips and garlic aioli… OMG. To get some protein into my system i went with the meatloaf meatball. I have never expected a meatloaf or meatball to be so savory. Sheerly awesome. Covered with a tomato and onion jam concoction it was simply divine. The perfect layer of mashed taters was underneath as well. While the food was absolutely above and beyond, I must praise the staff. Several servers and head chef Kathy swung by to see how we were doing, fill our glasses with water, and see what we ordered, and then later on explained how to pay etc… We eve n sat and chit chatted and they were super concerned we were waiting for a check, and told us we were fine to chat since they didn’t haven any lines. I will honestly say that I have never had an owner discuss anything with me before, and I was quite impressed with the concern and care everyone at the Café had regarding patrons. I am already plotting how to make it there for a donut friday.

Last night Easy Entertaining had a special tapas dinner. Luckily, I was able to get a reservation for 3. The woman I spoke to when I called was very pleasant and seemed genuinely happy to help. Our reservation was for 6pm, which was when they opened for dinner. We arrived about 15 minutes early expecting the doors to be locked. We walked right in and were greeted by Frank. He told us our table was ready, showed us where to put our coats, and asked us to make ourselves at home. Comfort came with ease as the space is so cozy. The food was incredible. Everything we ate was hot and seasoned perfectly. Frank was incredibly attentive, informative, and nice. I wish the café was open for dinner every night!

This place is a GEM. First impressions — very pretty inside, feels new & clean. Everyone’s friendly & warm. The menu is interesting and over 70% locally sourced. I had the Thai wrap(kale, julienned carrots, crispy rice noodles, thai vinaigrette, toasted pecans & barley) to which I added chicken(super tender & flavorful THIGHS! from Baffoni Farms). It came with my choice of sides, I had the Israeli couscous w/slices of purple carrots. Such attention to detail and everything was full of flavor. Staff is great and knowledgeable about the menu. As someone who works in the neighborhood I have a vested & selfish interest in keeping places like this around. They are currently facing two pretty serious challenges… the first is the recent loss of a large company from their complex(Rising Sun Mills on Valley Street) and the closing of a small bridge leading from Atwells Ave down to their building. Two easy options to get there… from Atwells take a left onto Harris, a right onto Delaine, a right onto Valley, and the café is on the left(detour is marked). Another alternative is to come down Broadway instead of Atwells… go past Harris and take a right onto Valley. Can’t wait to try breakfast!

Much love to a place that is making interesting food, using mostly local ingredients, yet still keeping the cost reasonable. The specials are revolving on a weekly, sometimes daily, basis. I have felt really nervous to lose something so tasty on the menu, and then I read the next week’s special and feel just fine. I have enjoyed everything I’ve eaten here, from pizzas to soups to sandwiches. I tried two different donuts one day and was not a big fan, but I am quite picky on that front. They tasted a bit stale and had an odd texture to me. My colleague enjoyed the donuts, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. The location is spectacular: gorgeous mill with high ceilings, modern chic décor, a beautiful bar, and some well thought out accents. This is definitely one of my new favorite spots — just remember, they are only open for breakfast and lunch!

Very chic looking Café, really the counter for their catering business. Only opens from M-F and from 8A to 2PM. Went there for their personal vegetarian grilled pizza and it was good. The crust was tasty and crisp, but the toppings were a bit too wet… so the pizza was a bit difficult to handle. Had to use knife and fork. Nice selection of soups, sandwiches, smoothies, etc. Parking can be a problem since the parking lot is used by a variety of business in the area.

Easy Entertaining is tucked away in the Rising Sun Mills — a place I would’ve never found if I wasn’t looking. They have strange hours(8am until 2pm I believe) but it’s really worth it. Our waiter was a bit overwhelmed but handled it like a champ and often other staff members would assist him, as he seemed to be the only designated server in the place. Everyone was nice, cheerful, happy to be there, and enthusiastic about everything on the menu. Not to mention knowledgeable. On Fridays, they have donuts and apparently you can use social media to score a free half-dozen. One of the employees told me this — unfortunately, I did not score a half-dozen. But the donuts are fresh, delicious, amazing. They actually have a cake-like texture rather than the tight, sugar processed, textureless donuts from that place called Dunkin. Because of that, they’re a little greasier but only because they are fresh — just fried up that day. I got a chocolate frosted and the chocolate is HEAVENLY. Pure dark chocolate melted delectably on top. The donut tastes best when you dunk it in a piping hot cup of New Harvest Coffee, which they brew on site. I had the Kale and Butternut Squash sandwich. I liked it a lot! It was seasonally inclined with a thick amount of butternut squash, a thinner pile of kale, blue cheese & aioli. It was a little bland but it did the job and I love all of those things singularly so together was delightful. The fries though. OMG the fries. They are hand cut, fresh cooked, and served with a spicy aioli that I would order by itself and eat like that disgusting habit of people who put Ranch on everything. I want to «ruin» every food with this aioli, I can’t get over it. My only gripe is their hours! I literally took a day off from work to go get a donut and, after a mental checkup because I really planned my day off around a donut, wondered when I could do it again! Have you seen their donuts? Don’t play.

It really is that good. The food, the service, the ambiance. And what makes it even better, is their commitment to the farm to table movement and how damn innovative they are with their business model. As well as how much they practice experimentation and special events as part of building a community around food that supports the local economy. If you’re not on their mailing list, sign up! Frequent coupons, announcements about special events, etc: Don’t be fooled by the hours — in addition to their daily open hours, they also host special events like Burger Night, cooking classes, renting out the space for private functions, etc. Check the website for special events. Drop in for lunch. Try a donut. Rent the space. However you try it, just try it. Truly delicious food made with love and integrity.

Love, love, love everything about the Café. From the breezy, cozy space with homey décor and natural light to the attentive, welcoming service to the locally sourced DELICIOUS menu, it’s a total gem. My BFF& I went for lunch recently. We had the lobster roll(her) and the turkey lemon verbana pesto sandwich(me). Lobster roll was generous & lightly dressed(just right). The turkey sandwich was full of flavor(and now I have an idea of what to do with lemon verbana). The fries & aioli… I could gAve eaten the aioli with a spoon. Rich, garlicky & thick. A treat for this girl. Our server was a delight. It felt as if he welcomed us into his own living room. He was friendly, charming and gave us space to chat. I suspect that many people go back because if his great service.(Not to mention the food!!) I so look forward to trying breakfast. Support this local gem(owned & operated by female entrepreneurs!)
