Great WDF, turnaround time was quick, the cost was reasonable. I dealt with two nice guys that had my stuff done quickly, I was notified with a phone call, I’d recommend this service! They also seemed to have a fairly large tailor shop, although I haven’t used it myself. Total cost worked out to 3lbs for 2 bucks — nicely folded — so you would also be hard pressed to find a cheaper laundry in pvd.

After moving back to the East Side of Providence, I realized the one downside — the lack of laundromats! I am so delighted to have found Wiggimat on the West Side. They wash, dry, and fold your laundry for only 65 cents per pound — much better than the $ 1.05 near me! Plus, when your laundry is finished — they shoot you a text message telling you to come and pick it up. It smells fresh, clean, and is perfect for this sometimes too busy lady! Note — it is cash only!

Wiggimat Laundromat is where we drop our clothes when we’re feeling super lazy(which is more often than I care to admit). Wash & fold is 65 cents/pound, cash only. They text you when it’s all set to pick up. Their detergent smells great, they’re willing to wash dry fold your blankets, and they rule at folding and sock-matching. In addition, they’re very cautious with sweaters and anything else that seems delicate even if you’re a dumbass and forget to tell them not to machine-dry your absolute favorite article of clothing, your granddad’s old cashmere sweater, which you wear around the house when you’re feeling Sad and which you definitely cannot live without because sometimes you just need to wrap yourself up in the softest thing ever. I mean, uh. If that’s your jam. The only thing I’m not crazy about is the inconsistent time span between dropping clothes off & picking them up. Sometimes it takes a day or two, sometimes it takes a week, and they’re not in touch with you during that time so it can be ever-so-slightly nerve-wracking. Make sure to ask when the laundry will be ready to pick up & call if you haven’t heard from them by that time.

I’ve been using Wiggimat Laundromat since I moved to Providence two and a half years ago. A frustrating quest to find a laundromat happily ended here — it wasn’t crawling with people, it was clean, and affordable. I don’t know what was going on behind the scenes with the old management, but it stopped being kept so clean shortly thereafter, and it was a common occurrence to lose a whole 2.25(it was a flat fee, paid for with a card you transferred money to) on the dryer cycle in a broken machine — no «out of order» sign, no one in sight to reimburse you, no one to let know the machine was broken. I trudged on in this relationship of convenience. Just recently, they’ve gone under new management. The woman who runs the laundromat now is on site during the week and is very pleasant and helpful. They’ve changed the machines over to coin-op, making it much more affordable(2.50 for a wash and .25 per 8 minutes of dryer time). She keeps it clean, well-lit, and well-maintained. She has revived the laundry service that had run before I started using Wiggimat. She even picks up and drops off. Reymon’s Brother tailoring shop is in the laundromat now too, and he does dry cleaning and tailoring inexpensively. Talk about convenient!
