Great food, great place for a resort area, price for the quality is worth the spend. Love the choices, the chef serves up the best food and always consistently good. I have come to P-town for many years and always make sure we have a great meal at Front Street! Tip, make reservations they get book quickly.

Excellent Italian food. Make a rezzy though or run the risk of being laughed at. That said, I often travel solo and can often catch a seat at their small bar. Love the bolognese!

Back again this past Saturday and it did not disappoint. Stuffed zucchini blossoms so good. Love artichokes and this one was the best. Soft shelled crab is always excellent there, as well. Hubby had his usual tea smoked duck that he always gets. no exception. Service is always good despite a very busy Saturday.

Saw the good reviews here and had to try it out. As other reviews mentioned, it’s a little of a let down as you walk into this basement restaurant with a very dated interior and dim lighting. So don’t expect to come here for people watching or the view. But maybe it can be a good thing… getting away from the hustle of the town and having nothing distracting you from spending some solid time with a partner/family/friend. The seafood & pasta dishes were quite good, but nothing to rave about.

We were looking forward to going to Front Street in PTown during Bear Week. Overall, the service was great, however, the food portions were extremely small. This year I invited some friends to join us and was bragging how great the food was at Front Street. The waitress and FS staff did accommodate us for one of our guests who was highly allergic to lemon. They went above and beyond to assure lemon was not and ingredient in his meal. Another friend ordered, the veal scallopini and shrimp combo, while it was delicious, the order consisted of one small piece of veal and a few large shrimp. It was more of an appetizer portion then an entrée portion. I ordered the braised fillet mignon and short rib over polenta, it was good and again very small portion. Needless to say my friends and I left hungry. We had a slice if pizza an hour later.

They must have had an ‘off’ night… typically Front Street is one of those places you look forward to going to when on vacation, but after last night’s meal maybe we will go to the new Italian eatery for food with flavor. Sad to say, but things change. Don’t order the Lobster scampi as it had no garlic or lemon that you find in a scampi. The grilled artichoke was good, but it takes a little work to eat it.

This being the talk of Provincetown all the time and a very difficult restaurant to get a reservation at, I had to wiggle my way in for some! I was a bit disappointed, since there was so much hype… The entrance has a beautiful white arbor covered in ivy guarding a brick walkway that leads you off of the popular commercial street. Unfortunately, you are then brought into a basement. A dark, grim basement. Like many of the other restaurants in Provincetown, the interior seems to be right out of the 70’s. The hostess had one of those«we’re busy anyway and I don’t need to be nice to you» attitudes. My waitress was incredibly friendly though. I went for a 3 course meal this one night. The first was a salad. I’m not talking like a big glass bowl with pepperoncini or anything… a few pieces of lettuce and maybe a thin red onion ring. The main course was pretty good. The only thing that could make it better, would be to not have previously frozen vegetables as the side dish… The martinis are about the same price as everywhere else in town, except they have the smallest glasses I’ve ever seen…

We’ve been going here for years and usually rave to everyone, but after a recent dinner, we won’t be back. What’s happened? Restaurant burnout? Prices higher, portion sizes smaller – my friend’s chicken parm was tiny as was the smattering of pasta on the side. Pasta is cheap, so I don’t get it. Three spoonfuls of pasta, jeeze. A house salad used to come with the entrees, no more. The waitperson said they stopped doing it this year, but I’m certain it was included when we were there in June. No big deal, but allowed for a long wait time between courses, and my hubby griping about not being able to insist they leave the beets off his [non-existent] salad, and my disappointment of not choosing between the balsamic or creamy feta dressing. :) Usually love the pork crostada special, but this time there was a really heavy hand with cayenne, chipotle, or other hot spice. After each bite, there was a lingering, searing burn, obliterating any other taste. Careless. Biggest put off: ordered the 17 oz steak special with au poivre. Huge bone with lots of fat, and literally four bites of meat. The thick sauce tasted like it was made from a commercial pre-made base. And when we got the bill, couldn’t believe they charged $ 48! + $ 2 for the sauce. Should have known better and gone to the Red Inn if we really wanted a steak. So disappointing and a big rip off. Specials used to change every two weeks, but appear to now go for three weeks. Still love the charming staff, but it almost seemed like someone new was running the kitchen – ineffectively.
