Mighty impressive sloppers! A hamburger covered in chili. I had no idea what it was, it was most excellent. Their patty-like sausage sandwich was not impressive to me, but apparently some people live it.

Still one of my favorites. I moved away from Pueblo but I still come here for lunch almost every time I’m in town. You can’t go wrong with a Pass Key Special, but this place’s spaghetti is among the best in town. Their Italian salad dressing is second to none as well. The prices are very reasonable — a good lunch here won’t break the bank. A must-visit if you’re in Pueblo.

Food is good but everytime we have gotten food to go, stingy with the fries. For the prices expect to have more than 10 fries. Overall like the food.

It has been at least 15 years since I enjoyed Passkey in Pueblo. Phenomenal food, great service ! I highly recommend stopping at this great establishment! Trust the fat guy folks, he knows great food !!

Lettuce and mustard on an Italian wasn’t for me. It was like a hoagie wrecked into a dried out sausage.

Do I really have to say anything. The passkey special is legendary. Service is always outstanding, some of the employees have been there for over 20 years. That says something about this restaurant.

Passing through Pueblo my wife found this little gem to stop and eat at. If you are lucky enough to hit this spot, try the Pass Key Special. A handmade flattened Italian sausage sandwich. It’s great. The only thing that could have made it better is some grilled jalapeños for Texans like us passing through.

I used to love going to Pass Key on Hwy 50. I loved the super special with the peppers and fries. That was for years. Then last year we had some of Musso’s Italian Sausage grinders, from their restaurant. It easily won me over for the best Grinder in Pueblo. Pass Key is good. But the hours suck. And they aren’t nearly as good as they were years ago.

Full disclosure, Colorado Springs is a dead town for foodies. As a New Yorker in exile, I have to work hard to find a great spot. So… I head south to Pueblo. Growing up in Buffalo, a blue collar factory town, I felt a common bond with Pueblo. I have mad respect for traditional, multi-generational restaurants so off we went to Passkey, which proudly states«The best Italian sausage sandwich in the world.» Clearly, they don’t travel much because I could name 30 places from Boston, NY and Philly that actually could live up to that title. As a local spot, fine for the locals that don’t get out much. Enjoy childhood memories and the nostalgia of yester-year. I had the Super Passkey special that was so salty I burped it up for hours. Sandwich was ok if you like a four inch high sandwich with wafer thin meat. French fries were unseasoned, bland and tasted like they came out of a Walmart frozen food section. Thumbs up for tradition and local memories. Thumbs down for reality. I won’t be back.

A Pueblo favorite. Delicious Italian sausage sandwich with your choice of cheese. A great place to relax and enjoy a meal with friends or family.

Still a great family tradition! I’ve been coming to the Pass Key restaurants for years and I try and stop by when I drive thru town. They are known for he Pass Key special, an Italian sausage sandwich. This sandwich hasn’t changed over the years, it’s still the same great sandwich every time I come. The only reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars is because our waitress was rude. Maybe she was having a bad day, it won’t stop me from coming back. I rate the whole experience with my reviews. If you’re driving through Pueblo, give them a shot!

Wow! This place was a let down. I ordered their specialty, «super pass key special». Terrible. The person that created this menu lacks the love for food. The sandwich has no flavor and its caked with tons of fake cheese. Fries were served with no seasoning. The whole experience reminds me of desperation to throw together what few ingredients you have left in the house to make a passable meal. Don’t expect much when you stop by.

I have tried this location on and off over the years, giving it one more chance! Ate there yesterday and once again terrible service, and the Passkey Special was undercooked and the bread was stale, and the sandwich was luke warm. Will never go there again!

Wow. for years people have said ‘hit up the Pass key I’m pueblo”. Now I know why, the Italian sandwich has a flavor I can’t pinpoint and I’m already wondering, when can I bring my husband. The ½ was perfect size for me, the. onion rings are extra crispy and juicy inside… The sandwich was not greasy which is a plus for this concious food lover. Service was super fast ad very friendly… Lots of customers in and out, so they must be doing something right. Pass key is a place I will definitely return to on my next trip to Pueblo.

Their famous Italian sausage sandwich is decent sausage on a soft bun with soggy iceburg lettuce and a dribble of mustard. Great food if u r hungover, starving, and desperate.

For the reputation that Pass Key is made up to be… fell short in our book. It just wasn’t what we expected… Service deserves an «A». They were very prompt and attentive. Quality of food is lacking. The bread on the sandwiches is great! But… We ordered the red chili cheese fries, figuring we’re in Pueblo, right?! It was literally a can of chili beans poured over the fries with a little bit of grated cheese. We were expecting some real red chili, Mexican style… with a little kick if ya know what I mean… The smothered green chili burger was good, but it wasn’t really smothered. If you can still see the bread-it’s not smothered! Needless to say tho, the green chili was very tasty! Order the green chili cheese fries, I’m sure that will be what to expect for Pueblo, and ask for your smothered burger to be extra, extra smothered to live up to expectation.

Hell yea why doesn’t Pass Key’s move way out west? California needs a good hearty sausage grinder like the one in Pueblo Co. No vegan crap. This is Man food! I visited Pass Key’s West off Interstate 50(I used to ditch school and eat there when it was Godfathers Pizza for some 420 satisfaction when I was in HIGH school) while in P-town last summer and treated my two Pass Key’s virgin daughters to the finest sausage grinder on the planet! Hey I could make a mint in Cali selling these baby’s, to all the displaced anti vegetarian meat consumers. My gramps used to call this BoJon food when I was a kid.(slang for the many Pollock’s, Italians, and Eastern Europeans who worked at the CF&I Steel mill back in the day) I figured Bojon’s knew how to eat very early on in life eating after eating many a time at the original Pass Keys! Hey this is no frills food. Get a beer DON’T fool around, get a double sausage grinder and some chips and your set! You’ll be in Italian sausage grinder heaven. My girls loved it! I love it. You need to try it and you will love it too! I’ll be back next time I’m in town!

Good little local place, no complaints about the service. Family-friendly. Had the Pass Key special sandwich and not a wow for me, but sausage was tasty. They could kick it up a notch on the bread and throw some onions on it. Came out with just a little lettuce on it and peppers on the side. Half sandwich was plenty. Glad we tried it, but for me it’s a one-and-out. And if you’re looking for vegan/vegetarian-friendly, this is definitely not your place.

The green chile slopper is my #2 Green Chile Cheeseburger behind George’s in Walsenburg. Deliciousness! Definitely a locals place, as my local cousins who brought me told me this! Definitely nothing special on the atmospheric front, just great food.
