So we went here a couple weeks ago. Yes like any restaurant has issues. There were 7 of us that went. They got 2 order wrong. We told them they fixed them. The other 5 of us had NO issues. We will continue to keep coming back. My wife says they have the BEST Tamales in the South Sound area. Great beans and rice. Love love the Salsa bar. So out of 7 of us there were 6 plates empty. So try it and you will like it.

The only place I know that is close to authentic Mexican food. Food and service is excellent. Friendly staff, and great little joint close to home. Highly recommend this place!

Great meal and service with the exception of forgetting to bring more chips. Love the salsa bar and bean dip!

This place was good, but did not live up to the hype for me. My first issue was the extremely long wait we had in between orders taken, water being refilled, and getting the check. Our waiter acted like he would much rather be somewhere else or he did not want to serve us? Very strange because it had been a very long time since I have encountered an aloof waiter/waitress. So people have bad days, I’ll let that slide. Now our food comes out and my order is completely wrong! I mean like completely wrong, wth? So while my friend ate I sat there and had to wait even longer to get my food. It didn’t take that long to come out, but it makes me wonder why initially everything else had. Plus for being straight off the grill it wasn’t amazing or anything. Decent place to go if you’re in downtown puyallup. I wouldn’t go here just for the food, only go if you want to get drunk they do have a nice bar! The chips and salsa were good, but there salsa bar isn’t that nice. I’ve seen better so I don’t get why people are saying its awesome.

I’ve been on a pretty good stretch of good and solid Mexican restaurants lately and Fiesta Taqueria and Tequila Bar helped keep that trend stretched out! Here there is a nice, little salsa bar to accompany your complimentary chips which comes with bean dip automatically. Since this restaurant is also a tequila bar then why not get a margarita as well? So Steve and I split a jumbo sized Cucumber Margarita which was delicious and refreshing! The little shaved pieces of cucumbers in the drink really added a nice touch! For dining I got the beef enchilada and Chile Relleno combination which was very good! The Chile Relleno was my favorite part of the meal. The pepper was a Poblano pepper so it wasn’t very spicy but it had a great flavor to it! Some menu options are slightly different towards the back of the menu where they offer cuisine from Oaxaca so that is something to also ponder over when going over the menu. Nice Place!

This place claims to have new ownership, but I’m quite certain it is the same. They still continue to get your order wrong, you have to ask several times for drink, for refills, and the food is mediocre at best. My food was lukewarm and the hard taco was soggy. Avoid this place!

I love finding those tiny lil restaurants that you know the owner was just thinking it would be low key but the place exploded and is constantly busy and has become a local hot spot. Yeah, this is one of those places. This place has GREAT food, great service(and it shows they truly care). I like the atmosphere, dig the menu selection and I am completely in love with the food. I have been to more Mexican restaurants than anyone(yes I have been to that many I am confident I win, ok maybe not, but at least second place) anyway, this place has my favorite dish, Molcajete, and it is hands down the best I have ever had. Now that is saying something people, the best out of all the places I have been? Yes, the best. The manager at this place is doing an awesome job at the customer service level, and the kitchen in the back is makin it vey easy for him. Good job all around crew, good job.

Wow. I thought it wasn’t possible for a five star dine in Mexican joint in Puyallup. This location use to be a couple different Mexican restaurants. There use to be a wall of sorts in the middle of the room, but no longer! It opened up the room with lots of roomy seating. You can totally bring your«squad» and party it up in here or bring your huge family and have a nice Mexican dinner. What makes this place 5 stars to me that it isn’t your typical Mexican restaurant. First off they serve their chips with a side of bean dip. If you want salsa, they have four kinds at the salsa bar, which also has picked jalapeños and radishes if you want them. They offer Oaxacan food. If you don’t know know what that is. Oaxaca is in center of Central America. They had different dishes of their style of cooking. Sorry, the only thing I didn’t do is take pictures of their menu! The gentleman who served us was also the bartender. He was very attentive for someone who had 4+ tables, and which most of the tables were ordering margaritas. Our waters were never empty and he constantly checked in on us to make sure we were doing good and how our food was, which was excellent! My boyfriend ordered a Sol and I had ordered the seasonal smash margarita(the seasonal fruit for today was pineapple) with flautas as an appetizer. My margarita was excellent! Not only do they use real fruit, not from a can, the house tequila is of better quality than most places. The flautas were nice and pillowy served on a bed of lettuce and diced tomatoes with a side of sour cream and guac! The chicken was nice and moist, looked like it was coated in a red sauce. As for our main course, I ordered the chimichanga and enchilada plate while my boyfriend ordered the fiesta carne asada and chile relleno plate. My chimichanga was cooked perfectly, not over fried. The shredded chicken inside was nice and moist with a nice sauce it was coated in. Had the diced tomatoes and lettuce, sour cream and guac on top. The enchilada was pretty good too, the sauce was very nice and the chicken wasn’t dry, similar to the chicken in the flautas and chimichanga. My boyfriend’s carne asada was cooked medium rare. It was nice and moist with a nice char, topped with mushrooms and onions sautéed in the juice of the carne asada. My boyfriend said that the chile relleno is the traditional style and he loved it. I didn’t try it because I don’t care for it, but glad that he thought this one is the best he has had. I ended my meal with a cucumber margarita! It was just as I expected, refreshing and tasty. The bartender/waiter muddled cucumber and whatever else he adds to it(I didn’t watch it’s making) and voila, my cucumber margarita! Great palette cleanser for sure. Not too sweet, it was just right. Overall, we will be coming back, a lot!

Just exactly what the doctor ordered after a day of epic skiing at Crystal. Food was fast and good, staff was super friendly and personable. Singing on the way to the kitchen? I’m in. Yum.

Not a bad spot to eat at. I would give them 5 stars but they didn’t have a happy hour menu. The best part about Mexican restaurants is the happy hour drinks, and street tacos.

Read the great Unilocal reviews and decided to come here with my family; we are all in town just for the holidays. The reviews did not lie. We did have to wait on a few things like water, but the food and the waiter’s attitude were amazing. I will definitely be back.

Street Tacos with asada, refried beans, and rice. But the best part about this place… Is the customer service and willingness of the staff to make your meal enjoyable. Easy to access when driving on Meridian. Great view of Rainier on a clear day. Good music, multiple TV screens, Mexican sodas, and TRUE Mexican dishes that you won’t find anywhere else.(ie Menudo, mole, flan).

Ok so, the food was good, the flavor of the flautas appetizer was below average, i could taste the oil, ussually its not as bad. My daughter had tacos, we specifically told the guy what she wanted on her tacos(8yr old), still he put what she wanted plus freagin green sauce! Dude what little kid likes sauce? Anyway, i asked daughter tojust try it, nop she didnt like the taste, waste of money right there. My carne asada burrito was good, no complains there. But the 3 stars is because why you gonna ask how you want your food and bring you whatever you want? Then just no ask. There is parking right at front and music wasnt too loud.
