Tried this place despite the reviews for take out. Worst phở ever. Didn’t taste like it had any star anise and I actually had to throw it out when I got home because the beef smelled spoiled. Sad because this place looks so nice on the inside.

I didn’t think this place was as bad as some say. I came here with my daughter for lunch and the only downside was the service. The server wasn’t very attentive and he never checked on us. He also didn’t seem to friendly. The food however was very good! I ordered the pork and my daughter got chicken chow mein. My pork was very good! I’ll come back for the food if I’m craving asain but I don’t know if I’ll eat in again.

I’m giving a star above 1 because the place has a great atmosphere and quick service. The food is pretty bland and the tofu was once frozen. You CAN’T freeze tofu, it turns in to basically what tastes like a sponge. Edit: I’ll go to a 3 star because I’m eating my girlfriend’s leftovers from yesterday. It’s cooked in a healthy rather than flavorful manner and it’s hard to find that in typical Americanized Asian food. If you want to try what traditional food tastes like, it’s not far off… just don’t get the tofu.

I had take out from there on 8÷4÷15 and it was terrible. The taste was all wrong on the noodle dish I had and the fried tofu was very hard. When I called to complain the lady on the phone had to check with the kitchen. When she returned to the phone she said they do not give refunds, but would give 50% off my next order. I asked for a manager and was told he would return in a week. I will not be using the 50% off a meal!

This place is NOT the best. At our first and will be ONLY visit here, we ordered Phở and the pad-see-ew. The phở was completely lacking in flavor and aroma. The most bland tasting phở ever. How do they even call that Phở? The pad-see-ew was just sad. Again, where’s the flavor? I don’t even have words for the pad-see-ew. The only thing I can say is DON’T. DON’T waste your time and money here. And they aren’t cheap either. Total for 2 bowls of phở and pad-see-ew came out to a bit over $ 30. And the phở was smaller than most places too. So DON’T just DON’T.

Customer service is very important to me especially because I know what it’s like to be at the other end of the table(I’m a waitress). The food is like any other phở restaurant, and since there are so many in the state of Washington, one would expect phở restaurants to have amazing customer service to compete with the other phos but not this one. They don’t greet you, they don’t smile, fail to refill water or ask if you need anything, and they are terrible at appreciating customers. Will not be going back, ever.

I will start by saying this restaurant is aesthetically pleasing, nicely lit with comfortable music. That being said, it stunk like the tables had been washed with week old bleach water and dirty rags. The server was nice when we walked in and sat down. When I ordered, I asked if the chicken they serve is breast to which he answered yes. My meal was brought to me and after he set it on the table, I could clearly see that it was fatty thigh meat. I sat for 10 minutes before he returned and I told him it was not the chicken breast I requested to which he replied by arguing that it was«sliced»… I told him it «wasn’t good food» and he continued to argue with me. It’s phở sho I won’t be back!

3 stars because the facilities are nice. I don’t want to say anymore. Try it for yourself and decide.

Went in last night with a few friends, ordered the beef skewers, expensive as hell for what it was, and the cashier at the till spoke next to no English. She overcharged me by a dollar for the food, from how it was priced on the menu. Bullshit place, wont be comming back.

Terrible. I ordered a Thai dish of sorts which was edible. The husband ordered fried rice with prawns and BBQ pork. The«prawns» were the teeny tiniest salad shrimp and the BBQ pork was chopped up so small that I think it maybe added up to 1 whole piece. The potstickers were decent, much like the frozen ones I buy from Costco. The waiter doesn’t speak much English and made us wait a good 20 mins after our meal for the bill. He never did bring it to the table, we walked up to the counter. $uper $pendy for sub-par food.

I gave this place 3 chances. The steak phở was just okay in flavor and came out lukewarm. The chicken phở was gross(idk what kind of chicken that was supposed to be). This place has a beautiful full bar but NO cocktail menu– not smart. Didn’t wanna take a chance and order my own drink because the waiter was rude and barely spoke English. They should provide a cocktail menu so customers can point out their choice and know every ingredient that should be in the drink lol. The menu had a sticker on the front cover only that said«all menu prices have increased .25 or .50 cents»… Nothing would bring me back here. I do, however, love Phở Puyallup across the street…

Going downhill. Ordered chicken phở. Probably one of the most basic and ordered soups. The chicken? Sliced deli meat. What? Huge round yellow onion slices that were tough to eat(I picked them out). Probably the worst experience I’ve ever had here. It’s probably phở the best I never come back. Haha.

Placed a to-go order and my food came out suspiciously fast(we’re talking 3 minutes). I then paid 15 bucks for a couple potstickers that were clearly from the frozen isle and 2 spring rolls stuffed with mostly lettuce. Nasty and horribly expensive. Never again.

I’m not one to complain but the service was horrible. To the short black haired waitress with an attitude of disrespect and ugly looks, don’t be a server if you hate your job! She was so disrespectful, rolled her eyes several times then tried to be extremely nice as she handed our tab then proceeded to tell us «just sign the line, and I can get out of here», as she waits for the receipt. I work in the service industry and I would never treat my customers like her! This place will loose business if they have employees like her. Sweetheart you need a reality check of how to treat people. Your shit stinks to! Other than the disrespectful waitress, the good tasted good.

Most people judge phở by the broth. Phở The Best’s is passable, certainly not the best. Doctored up with condiments, it was pretty good. Nice job on Thai Larb. Service was inattentive after receiving the meal.

I have been here once when it first opened. First thing I noticed the first time and today… was the over-priced items. Like many… why is PHO and the other entrees so priced up… compared to normal other places? I realized. each item is roughly $ 2 more than average. My sister and I tried the 2 spring rolls which were $ 4+ dollars… She ordered the steak and brisket phở(small) think it was $ 8+ dollars… And my super-addicted vermicelli salad bowl was $ 9+ dollars. To start off with the spring rolls… it tasted like any normal spring rolls but SINCE we were the only customers there… I can guarantee it was made fresh. because. unlike other normal pre-made spring rolls. this one was warm… which I think I prefer it chilled. I didn’t try my sister’s phở noodles but she said she would give it a 3.5 star rating. Since I am the one writing this review. it’s all about the vermicelli salad bowl. I would give it a 3.5 star rating also. Here are the cons: TOO warm… noodles were a bit thicker/rounder… and harder. and the pros: Lots of different vegetables(carrots, cucumber, cilantro, lettuce, beansprout, radish?) and peanuts! Can’t forget the peanuts. The fish sauce they use was a bit bland compared to the other places I have tried but overall… I might try it again but at the same time I was displeased with it’s warmness… Plus. today was so… hot … I thought noodle salad bowl would be savory:/ Because. we were the only customers. the kitchen staff who were sitting outside. had come in and took roughly 15 minutes to get our food out. One of the servers. had a mean-cold face… when he came up to us. although the other one was more friendly. I would think if they lowered their costs… it might be more customer friendly.

My wife and I eat here quite regularly. We really like this place. In the beginning there were some service issues and they recently raised the price of their Phở. Understandable in today’s economy and with a place that just opened. I would say if you haven’t had Phở before this is a great place to start. We go for lunch and service, as of lalte, has been great. Possibly I need to try more Phở but so far I haven’t felt the need to.

I went here during their grand opening day. It is by far the nicest looking Phở place ever, however that made me nervous. Growing up eating Asian cuisine you quickly learn that the nicer places are not the best tasting places. Phở the best get a solid 2.5 stars. I did have my issues, the biggest one being the noodle amount, I had barely passable noodle amount for my phở. I also ordered extra tendon and I either did not receive it or their initial amount is so small that the extra seemed like a decent portion for a single normal order. There was also not that much meat included. The broth alone was alright, I always taste the broth before I add anything, including veggies. It was not the best broth but it was at least at the same level if not higher than what I would expect from a Puyallup phở. We also ordered the spring rolls which were decently priced and unremarkable. I could live without the spring rolls here. I will for sure be back a couple more times, the opening day is never a good day to review a business. Like I said, the interior is nice and very inviting which is not common in most Phở joints. Puyallup is really growing from its 108% white food domination. Good girl Puyallup, I am proud of your growth, you have come a long way from a burger, steak, and jerky town. **I am very curious as to if white people own, run, or work back in the kitchen, why you ask? The place looks too nice, and my rolls were very loosely wrapped. I just have a hunch. I mean its freakin Puyallup.
