We don’t like sushi that goes round and round on a belt because who knows how long it’s been there or who touched it. Sushi Paradise makes theirs to order. There is one rate for«all-you-can-eat» and a cheaper rate for«two rolls»(which is what I always do because that IS all I can eat). Staff has always been attentive and courteous. And the sushi itself? Excellent and lots of options. 4 stars because the price has increased over time and it is not what I would consider reasonable any longer. But I guess the value would depend on how much one person can eat in a sitting. After this last visit we decided it isn’t worth it for our family any more. So sad :(we likely won’t boycott the place entirely but it’ll have to be a special occasion restaurant.

Freaking amazing rolls and nigri. Great priced. I highly recommend it. This coming from some one who lived in Japan for three years.

I want to start by saying I have been here twice for lunch and been pleased. It has been a special treat to take my kids on the way home from swim lessons, my son loves the food and the fact that they give you suckers with your check. Both times I have ordered the teriyaki chicken lunch combo for my kids to split and I ordered the AYCE sushi lunch special. Rolls were pretty good, lots of imitation crab, shrimp tempura, a good spicy tuna(my favorite), basic, but expected with AYCE and a good deal at the $ 12.95 price. Service hasn’t been great, and the lady(I’m assuming the owner) always seemed annoyed when customers showed up. Today was a different story. My son specifically requested to go here for lunch, so I promised sushi and teriyaki on the way home. I walk in and every table is empty, people are only seated at the bar. My 4 yo son runs over to the booth we have been seated at during our two previous visits and I wait holding my daughter to be instructed where to sit. The lady waits a minute or two before finally acknowledging us and asks me «for here or to go.» I respond«for here» and she pointed to the booth my son is already seated at. She brings menus as I start to sit down and wait for a high chair, but I tell her we don’t need menus, we already know what we want to order. I start to order the chicken teriyaki and AYCE lunch special… she then awkwardly points to the acrylic table menu with the AYCE special(on EVERY single table in the restaurant) and tells me, «they say if you want sushi you have to sit at the bar, but it’s all full so you will have to wait.» What?!? Clearly, my 4 yo and 18 mo are not going to be joining me on bar stools, and she knew that. Unless they changed their policy since last Monday(when people were seated throughout the entire restaurant ordering the AYCE sushi), I’m pretty sure this was was her way of telling us she didn’t want our business. I responded that my daughter wasn’t able to sit at the bar, so she picked up the menus and walked away. My son started crying as I told him we had to leave and they lady didn’t even turn back around. I have to admit I was super uncomfortable it made me feel really embarrassed. I worked in the restaurant industry for years and I can’t imagine treating customers this way. I’m tempted to go back again with my kids an see if she will actually seat us and allow us to order lunch, but I really don’t want to give them another dime and hope they go out of business. Overall, they are just an average teriyaki/sushi place with terrible customer service.

The sushi is great there! My first time at an all you can eat sushi place. The only thing I didn’t like about this place is that they rush you to pay and leave. While my friend and I were trying to decide our next plate, the lady came and gave us our check. She kept coming to check if we paid yet. And didn’t offer us more water after she gave us the check. I don’t like being rushed out of a place… Especially when I’m catching up with a friend I haven’t seen for a long time. And while we were still enjoying the food. My suggestion: take it easy! Maybe ask if we are done before you assume and then keep trying to get us to pay and leave. It’s very rude.

It’s pretty good here. A lot of the sushi rolls to choose from.(any of the spicy rolls are delicious!) The guys behind the counter making the rolls are really nice and crack jokes… a lot! The lady who seated us, isn’t too friendly, but she’s not rude or anything. I like the lunch price Monday through Friday for 12.95 all you can eat rolls. I’ve honestly had better, but you can’t beat the price during lunch time.

Very family friendly and quick on refills of sushi and drinks. Good price for the all you can eat, but a lot of similar rolls.

Went there yesterday for my wife’s birthday dinner and it was yet another fantastic experience. The sushi chef was awesome. He made our rolls so fast that we didn’t have to wait long at all for another. The fish was so fresh and delicate tasking. I travel from Seattle just for their sushi. My favorite roll is the New York.

Fist time here and love it! My friend had been talking about this place for the longest time and she finally took me here. It’s all day all you can eat for $ 19.95. They have a great selection of sushi to choose from. I got full of 3 roll plates. The staff here is very friendly and engage in conversation with you.

I love it! Not only is the sushi amazing, they are friendly and a really great atmosphere. The samurai is spicy and amazing all in one beautiful package. I’m sold and I’ll definitely be back. My wife liked the boyfriend(not spicy, with a banana on top) and her hurricane. My daughter had the sesame chicken, which was a hit fire her

wah wah… I am very sad to write this. I took my family here today because I came here 3 years ago with a friend and it was great… Most of the ingredients seemed stale(tempura and rice). Which by the way when eating fish raw is scary! the customer service was nice but I think they knew their product was sub par… struggling business should never risk feeding old stale food and very skimping on the rest of the ingredients. We paid for 6 rolls of mostly rice and a teeny bit of what was supposed to be in the rolls(which was stale). We will look at it as paying it forward. I hope they can rise up and be better then what we ate today. good luck to you. maybe it was a bad day? Idk

I’d give this place a 2.5. The sushi us sub par. It’s mostly rice and cream cheese deep fried with sauce drizzled on it. Seemed very low quality, the service was good but i was there for the food. If you like deep fried style sushi with cream cheese then this place is right up your ally, if you are looking for authentic sushi then keep moving.

I was not so interested in coming here since I love sampling all kinds of different sushi at once and on the all you can eat menu here it means you have to finish one roll before you can order a different one. Anyway, my brother was psyched for ayce nigiri and sushi for under $ 30, so we came in and took a seat at the bar. The variety is extensive and these chefs will tweak anything to your liking. That’s a HUGE plus to get it exactly the way you want it. Roll portions are large and I tapped out at two, but my brother got down three and had four nigiri plates(2 per plate). Rolls might appear to be run of the mill, but have many creative surprises like adding banana or deep fried(both not my fave, I like sushi simple and clean). It’s fun though and surprisingly FAST! Speaking of fish, my brother’s nigiri was fantastic. This place is absolutely a great arena to taste tuna, red snapper, yellowtail etc and really test your palate. I recommend the world roll for tuna fans. We’ll be back!

Party of seven in for lunch. Food was fast and decent. Didn’t realize we were way overcharged until we arrived home. Will be back But will watch for extra charging at register. Note to owner: Your check out isn’t customer friendly.

I’ve tried every roll on the lunch menu and I am never disappointed! Everything is fresh, they have abundant ginger to enjoy with your roll! And the staff is amazing, they encourage you to eat more before leaving. Took my daughter for her birthday and they made her a special mango ice cream dessert for her birthday. The rolls are to die for… I love the Puyallup and the yummy yummy best… but then again they are all worth the drive from Everett all the way to Puyallup!

We went here for the first time today, for the all you can eat sushi lunch for $ 12.95. Friends have been raving about it. Have to say we enjoyed it. Had some different types of sushi. Hubby ordered the Jackpot and to my surprise it had been lightly fried. That was new to us. We got full pretty fast. You order 1 tray at a time. We liked everything we ordered. The chefs are friendly and ready to make whatever you order. It was a nice experience except for… The young woman who really made herself look like a real Witch(b****h) from San Diego, yelling for all to hear how she wasn’t going to pay for something she didn’t like and calling the owner lady, money hungry and they would lose a customer for life. I’m sure the owner lady won’t be missing you. Get yourself back to California ASAP because you won’t be missed. I was embarrassed for her and the person she was with. Some people have no manners, her attitude sucked like most of California! Other than her outburst, we enjoyed our sushi!

Hands down the best sushi spot in puyallup. My favorite is the Crunch and Yummy Yummy rolls. I’ve never had a bad Roll from them and this is my go to spot when I’m craving the good goods.

Average sushi style food. I would not call this place a sushi restaurant. Nigiri fish precut, avocado precut and flesh brown. Severs speak Korean which is awesome, considering the Japanese occupation of Korea during WWII. I guess the Korean owners are comfortable with current Japanese food culture and find it marketable. However what’s not so nice is they assume that non Koreans cannot understand them. My Korean is weak but I understood enough to know they were saying not so nice things about their customers who were in hearing distance. Shockingly, these were good customers who are regulars and were not rude in any way. I ordered the most expensive items on their menu to test the quality of their fish. Most disappointing was the Yellow tail fish that they labeled as hamachi, it was not Japanese amberjack. The piece of fish I was served was more likely a Korean yellowtail tuna placed on rice about 4TBS thick. The slice of fish was mostly frozen and the chef knew it, but still served it, very unprofessional. There was consistent excessive amounts of rice on the rolls and precut sushi. Rice is fine but it’s much cheaper than fish and too much is bad. I’ve had nicer quality fish at trappers and my servers were not Asian, but that doesn’t really matter. You don’t have to be Japanese to make wonderful sushi, there just must be respect and care when preparing the ingredients. Finally, fish labeled as Red snapper(salt water fish) by the owners was incorrect. In actuality the fish was Izumadai, or more commonly known as tilapia or African soul. Tilapia is a fresh water fish that is more dangerous to consume raw due to parasites endemic to all fresh water fish. I hope the best for the owners, but I won’t be returning bc I do not want to risk getting sick. I can only imagine their competitive advantage is that there are few competitors in Puyallup for this style of food. If you like lots of rice rolled with a little bit of mislabeled fish deep inside of imitation krab, you may like it here. *after reading other reviews I have decided to change my *** to **. Doesn’t seem the owners realize how sub mediocre the quality of their food is on a consistent basis.

Not sure why this place has so many good reviews. I eat sushi all the time and this place is terrible. The service was good, but the sushi is definitely sub-par. It’s mostly rice or other cheaper ingredients. Very little fish. Also, every roll is smothered in sauce. Not a fan. Won’t come back. It’s also nearly $ 30 if you want nigiri and not just rolls with your all you can eat.

First off, the woman who is primarily a server, is so extremely rude I’m surprised I have seen more comments on her. She only wants you to sit at the bar, and won’t let you sit at the booth unless you physically just sit down. When you ask for something she mumbles in her language to the guys behind the sushi bar and they all look at you. The food was cold and soggy. Their portions are good but it’s not worth it’s

This is my favorite place. I go here a lot . This place has all you can eat sushi. The price for rolls only is $ 19.95 and rolls+nigiri is $ 27.95 This prices beats all other sushi joints as far as I know. When it comes to sushi I can eat a lot. I eat about 5 to 6 plates. What I eat here, I could easily spend $ 60 and up in other places . The stuff is really friendly and like to joke sometimes. The sushi itself is also good quality. My favorite sushi is 911, play boy, hurricane, dancing, and New York.
