What can I say about Sagebrush that hasn’t already been said about the wheel, Vicodin, or the cotton gin? Simply that it is single handily one of the greatest coffee shops of all time. And to think that it erupted out of a barren waste like Quartz Hill is unfathomable to the greatest of minds. If you’re like me, you can’t get enough of their Americanos. Each coffee bean is individually grown and nourished as if it were the Barista’s own sweet child and then brewed as if it were being prepared for the second coming of Jesus Christ. Speaking of Devine intervention, I know that Jesus has taken the wheel in my life but He has definitely taken the hands of one of their Baristas, Belen, because she prepares an Americano like no other. She is to coffee as Mozart is to music, as America is to Freedom, and as Tom Hanks is to acting. She is simply the best. And if the energy of a nuclear bomb contained in the espresso shots doesn’t brighten your morning, then her sweet smile will never fail to do the trick. In the end, it’s your choice. Do you want to be like every other basic 16 year old white girl with daddy issues and go to Starbucks? Or would you rather be a dignified, independent coffee addict and always be satisfied when you take a sip? If you chose the latter, then head on down to Sagebrush Café and get yourself an Americano or Aztec Warrior.

This is my favorite local coffee shop in the AV. Their lattes are the best. Definitely better than Starbucks. They are usually fast and there is no line. However, they are popular and its not uncommon for them to get busy in the morning. Inside is small with about five small tables and chairs. The outside area is very pleasant with palo verde trees, tables and chairs. I usually grab a large hot latte before work, but I have tried some of their specialty drinks. The aztec warrior is not my favorite. It is too chocolaty for me. I did like the lavender Moonlight Sonata latte, but they do tend to run on the sweet side. Final points: They have the best latte in the AV, really cute local coffee shop that should be supported!

Stopped in for the first time last week and had a Ravens Song, it was so sweet and delish, the ladies behind the counter were kind and friendly, and the whole place was just quiet and soft, will definitely be back when I have time to relax and enjoy a cuppa.

I’m not a coffee expert by any means but this is my favorite cup I’ve tasted. The Italian sodas are amazing. When we go for lunch I get the panini and its amazing. I could eat two of them in a row. The atmosphere feels like home and the staff is super cool. Skip Starbucks and get some real flavor.

Move over Starbucks Sagebrush is way better. I finally was able to stop by for lunch at this little cute café and I’m glad I came here. I had the rose milk tea and a panini with pesto and salami. Everything tasted so delicious. The drinks were not over powering with sugar. My reason for 4 stars is that my panini seemed to take so long to get it. I will be making more trips to Sagebrush. Found a new place for my iced coffees and delicious sandwiches. I highly recommend this place for breakfast and lunch.

This is favorite place to get coffee. They have drinks that are always there and often offer new drinks to try. Everything thing I or my boyfriend and daughter have ordered has been delicious and satisfying. They will happily modify your drink for you which is awesome because I don’t drink regular milk. I always have my coffee made with Almond milk. (You won’t see that at Starbucks) This is a very local friendly business which always features local art by people who live in the Antelope Valley. The service has always friendly and helpful. Everything gets an A+ in my book. Happy to help support a local business!

It’s the days that I go to Sagebrush that I’m happiest. I always look forward to visiting this enjoyable café with friends and perhaps will never cease to. Personally my favorite thing to acquire are the paninis! They’re delicious! Not to mention that they’re drinks are equally as great. They make seasonal drinks so there’s always something new to try.

Oh how much I love sage brush. Their menu is beyond delicious. I never once had a drink I didn’t like. Sage brush is worth a visit. I suggest just trying anything on the menu. The workers are super nice and sweet and the vibe is always nice in there.

I love the atmosphere and the coffee. I just wish the owner(I’m assuming she is), was a little warmer and had better customer service. I prefer when she’s not there and the other staff is better at encouraging me to try different things. She is intimidating and condescending… For a small business(which I prefer to support), I look for a more welcoming environment. I’ll still give my business… But I don’t want to feel like I’m pulling teeth when I ask questions. OTHER than the clique-ish vibe, this place has the most beautiful patio in the AV and a great cup of coffee!

Have been a patron here for over a year, and it’s by far one of the best places to go for coffee. The workers are warm and inviting, which provides exceptional customer service. Both the espresso and non espresso drinks are so delicious. They also have a very good selection of tasty baked goods and pastries. Go-to drink is the iced aztec warrior, iced white chocolate dream, and the iced dirty chai tea latte.

This place is simple, sweet, and tasteful. The décor is relaxing and they display artwork from local artists which adds to their theme of art art art. In addition… Coffee: delicious. Original: they have their own smoothie creations Staff: young, hardworking, professional, nice Building: Great place to study, has windows all around so you won’t get claustrophobic, and cozy. Outside patio seating available and cute landscaping. Support your local small businesses especially this’d place! It’s one of our gems here in Quartz Hill.

My favorite coffee shop in town and as an added bonus it’s right by my house! The coffee is always excellent and the pastries are to die for(especially the tarts). I love being able to go to a «real» coffee shop as opposed to a Starbucks and to sit and enjoy a nice cup.

I would give Sagebrush 3.5 — 4 stars. I couldn’t agree more with all the reviewers here that depict Sagebrush as a desert mirage of sorts. A more apt comparison could not be made in this context. The area surrounding Sagebrush, to an outsider like myself, is but a sea of rundown retail strip-malls, defunct manufacturing centers and disspirited architecture. Sagebrush furnishes the landscape with a more manicured appearance, a finely crafted desert architecture not unlike Santa Fe, New Mexico. The olive tree and literal sage brush, the dirt lot and small box of a building, all lend a certain While I enjoyed a large cup of your everyday drip coffee, my partner ordered a Sagebrush specialty in the Aztec Warrior. Seemingly popular, at least by the mentions here on Unilocal,it’s difficult to not like the idea of Mexican hot chocolate with some espresso added. It certainly looked the part, with the whipped cream and chocolate powder on top. And in-fact, it was delicious. It was more chocolate than anything, but this is to be expected. We might add another shot of espresso next time. One tires quickly of national chain coffee when accustomed«back home» to something far superior in every way. Energy is expended in often vain searches for anything other than Starbucks or McDonald’s. So it was in this spirit that my wife and I came across Sagebrush, the early morning hours of some random weekday during Christmas vacation. They had a small but largely attractive case of pastries, populated entirely but sweets with little in terms of originality but nothing looked bad and everything we happened to try, was certainly delicious. The peanut butter, honey, and c-raisin granola bar(that’s traveled the world) was fantastic, my wife and I agreed. We snacked on that bar all the way into rural Oregon. The berry scone was alright, a bit sweet for me, but satisfying. My wife got a bagel, which was just okay. The tiny Philadelphia cream cheese package provided was hardly enough for one half of the bagel. We hadn’t seen these packets since ordering bagels at recess break in middle-school. It almost seems as long too, since we’ve been asked to pay a pittance for a second package. We were asked to pay .50 cents for a second pack after just putting about .80 cents change into their tip jar. We didn’t want to be rude, but ultimately did protest the cost. I suppose some could see this as a spoiled or entitled attitude; of course I believe the cost of the bagel should include enough cream cheese in the first place, sufficient to cover the entire bagel in the fashion that the consumer wishes. The Philadelphia package contains an arbitrary amount that no one actually claims is enough to cover a bagel. We really appreciated the«art house» aspect of the place, as small and sort-of covert as it is. We were surprised by what many would assume would be a «take one, leave one» type of used book market, they simply sold the used books. No barter system here. So there was a commercialism to the art that was unexpected, but this is a small town coffee shop so one cannot complain. They are, after all, a coffee shop first and foremost. I recommend Sagebrush to anyone visiting or living in the area. It’s a beautiful little spot, with a whole lot to offer.

When you see something flashing green before your eyes, you can’t miss it. Green, cute, and contemporary coffeeshop is Sagebrush Café — a hidden oasis in the middle of the desert of Quartz Hill. The exterior is painted a pretty minty green with a garden outside flowing full of herbs including lavender and sagebrush. Rather inviting in an unassuming part of town. Love it! Really enjoy the local coffeeshop feel of this place. An all-purpose coffeeshop with lots to offer: an art space where local artists sell their work, tables for work or chat, music events. I have yet to discover the rest of their menu but it seems from the reviews that there’s more. I ordered the fresh brewed coffee… which I thought was solid, they also asked if I preferred a «mug» or «to-go cup», which is always a nice service! My friend ordered the latte and breakfast sandwich — he seemed pretty satisfied. The coffee is definitely a refreshing departure as chains like Starbucks brews their coffee too strong or too bold. Sagebrush café offers a nice alternative and local favorite. Friendly staff, too!

This small café is a hidden gem! It’s drinks are fabulously made. There are holiday favorites such as the Nutella mocha that I recommend you try! The staff is very warm and welcoming. The inside of this café is cozy. It has indie artwork and a nice outside seating area. The pastries remind me of homemade treats grandma makes on Friday evenings! With that said I emphasize that you treat yourself to their pastries! Right now, my current favorites are the adult cinnamon toast and their breakfast sandwich. I have been to this hidden gem 4 times this month with my boyfriend to try different drinks and menu items. This café beats Starbucks any day! From the staff to the drinks it’s a great experience.

I enjoy the eclectic style of this coffee café. It’s friendly, fast and fun. They always have great recommendations. Today I wanted peach tea and they suggested I get half black tea/half green tea… so yummy! Then I was told I need to try the rose milk tea. That’s my next selection. They haven’t failed me yet!

My husband and I stopped in here before going to visit his cousin who lives in Quartz Hill. Bonny the Shih Tzu(from the movie Seven Psychopaths) was scheduled to do her book signing from 10AM-12PM that day! Other than a coffee shop/café they offer pastries, sandwiches and a few breakfast items. They are also an «art house» and feature/sell unique gifts here as well. They may be hard to miss, so just look out for their green exterior and they do have a small parking lot. After we said hello to Bonny, we ordered some drinks. They offer a variety of drinks including coffee(lattes, drip coffee, iced espresso), tea(hot or iced), hot chocolate, blended drinks, like smoothies. Sagebrush Café has their own drink called«Aztec Warrior» it’s like a mocha, but features Mexican hot chocolate. My husband got a Strawberry Smoothie and I ordered the Aztec Warrior(ice blended). I sampled my husband’s smoothie and I thought both drinks were delicious and would definitely stop in again. They have a few tables inside as well as seating outside. People had their dogs with them and so did we. I love dog friendly places so I’m automatically a fan. 59⁄100 Reviews for 2015

I love looking for coffee places when I’m visiting into new cities and THAT is how I found this place. Boyfriend and I were about to head back into our city, but I just have a habit to check out coffee shops and take a to-go on the road. Read through a few reviews and seems like Aztec Warrior was winning to try. I ended up ordering that with soy milk(note: additional adjustment = additional cost) which was additional 50 cents. What exactly is an Aztect warrior we asked? Well, the Aztect itself contains milk and Mexican chocolate. Warrior is additional if you want espresso shot. So you can get the Aztect drink with or without warrior(the espresso shot). We ended up with Aztect Warrior because we are a fan of bitter sweet coffee drinks, glad we did it. The drink was amazing. The Mexican chocolate gives the drink a flavor that I cannot really describe. The sweetness is just right. The mixture definitely did not taste like it was chocolate milk, with the kick of espresso, it made the drink tasted delicious. Sagebrush Café is a cute shop, hidden in the corner of Ave L-14. It looks like it used to be part of gas station or a gas station before by the looks of how small it is. Parking in rear or in front, but it’s really small. Cute and cozy spot to hang out or get some to-go. Feels like I walked into the desert to have some coffee.
