Update: Used to give this place 5 stars backed when Bina worked there. I’ve gone back and gotten it done from the owner… she got snippy with me when I told her that I didn’t want a facial to go along with the threading. Just kept pestering and saying that I really needed it. I politely denied it and she ended up threading my brows WAY too thin and with no shape. Had to let them grow in for months. Won’t be back

This is my go-​to place for threading! I’ve tried several different places in Astoria and Manhattan for threading and waxing, and I’ve never gotten the consistently great results that I’ve gotten here. Veena is a sweetheart. She’s quick and thorough – my brows have never looked better. She’s there basically every day. Prices are great – $ 5 for brows, $ 7 for brows and upper lip, $ 30 for full face. For body waxing (brazilian/​bikini, armpits, legs/​arms, etc), they use a chocolate wax, which is actually painless. No – seriously. I’ve only had my armpits done there, but after hearing another client’s positive experiences, might go back for more. Facials are great too. They have a special on now for December – free face polish treatment with any facial. I got their new Janssen (brand of products) facial. It was a lengthy, multi-​step process, but very relaxing and my skin feels great. They did steaming, extractions, masks, etc – the works. The table also had a built-​massager, which was a nice surprise. The owner, Hadiqa, took care of me – she was very professional and knowledgeable. Overall, this is a great value in Astoria. It’s a tiny storefront in the Steinway Mini Mall though, so don’t expect any frills. They have 2 chairs for threading/​waxing, and a small back room with a hair/​makeup area and facial/​body wax table area. While the back area is private, you can hear people going through the mini mall, and the piped in music is the top 40 station for the whole mini mall. No nature sounds here. lol. It honestly didn’t bother me. If you need the waterfalls, crickets, green tea and plush spa robes, go elsewhere. If you want great services at great prices with a friendly professional staff, come here. Note – cash only. There are plenty ATMs and banks around, if you forget.
