I posted this review on Driver Side, but wanted to also post here because this is where I looked when I was looking for a place to take my car and found great Unilocal reviews:
I went to Midas in Quincy on 12÷12÷15 for a routine oil change. I walk in and am greeted cheerfully by the person at the front desk, and I ask for the manager whom I had spoken to earlier that week when I made the appointment. I was surprised when I learned that the person at the front was also the manager, which was a really great start. He was in a great mood, and seemed like he really wanted to be there. He explained everything to me (since I know nothing about cars), and I was confident he did not try to sell me anything I didn’t need. My car received a thorough courtesy check, and I also ended up getting new tires (I knew I needed them already). I had printed a coupon from online for the oil change for $ 21.99 to include the oil change, courtesy check, and tire check. I got it all for $ 19.99 instead. Ed answered all my questions, even the most basic ones, and didn’t seem to find me annoying at all. He also explained to me how often I should rotate my tires and get an alignment AND what the difference was. It was really nice to feel so well taken care of. I will definitely be going back again for routine things and anything else my car might need.

Ed, the new manager, is courteous and professional. I am an existing customer and the service has consistently been good. I went in today for a routine oil change and found that the service is even better. I recommended Midas to my family and friends.

Always quick with the oil changes and helped me get a rounded lug nut off. Be sure to plan ahead for oil changed as they tend to book up. Special thanks to Ed at the front for helping

If I could rate 0 stars I would. I don’t know much about car but I brought my car here to get my heat looked at. The mechanic working told my I had a bad head gasket and would cost over 2k to be fixed. I brought it to another shop in Quincy (s&w on quarry st) they fixed my heat and did not even mention one thing about my head gasket. It’s been 8 months since Midas misdiagnosed my car and it’s still running better than ever.
The point of my review was they also misdiagnosed my boyfriends car. They have no idea what they are talking about and are completely overpriced. I recommend checking out a local mechanic.

to what everyone thinks i went to midas in quincy jimbo at the counter top notch well knowleged about cars and very friendly a+++ service jimbo explained everything to me and answered all my questions in what i understood and showed me everything he was talking about i did not feel like i was being talked down too or smoke blown up my but

I bought a Groupon Coupon today for Oil Change at Midas. Called them for an appointment and they Scheduled it for the next day. The guy asked for my name and told me that its confirmed. I had to get off work early to go there as they couldn’t accommodate me later towards the evening. When I went there the guy at the front desk said there is no booking by my name for today, either I would have to leave the vehicle or reschedule the appointment.
This is bullshit, why do they even advertise such a thing if they do not want to honor the services. Definitely not going back here again.

I brought my car there for an oil change and was called and told I needed new brakes. They quoted close to $ 400.00. I just brought to my usual mechanic and told brakes were fine and didn’t need work. Very disappointing and if I kept their quote I would suit to BBB. Lost my business and my husbands.

Holy cow, they told me two hours but it took 20 minutes instead. Wow I am impressed with the service here.

Even though this shop is a little out of the way for me, I will continue to go here for my service. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. The quality of service and very reasonable prices make this place worth the drive!

I have been here 3 or 4 times and they are great. Reasonably priced, honest and was able to cut me a deal when money was tight for a certain repair. I believe the manager’s name was John. Follow-​up calls after each service to see if the work was acceptable. Mostly quick service but there was an issue with a part one day so I had to wait for awhile at the shop. They were very nice about it and even offered to buy me lunch. very clean shop and customer restroom is pristine as noted by another reviewer. Free drinks are nice touch as well. Recommended for basic repairs. I didnt have anything complicated but I think they’d have handled it fine if I did.
No hesitation recommending.

This mechanic shop, let alone this Midas, is the BEST shop in the whole Boston area! I have been bringing my car to them since 2010 and now I won’t go anywhere else. I drive all the way to Quincy from Needham — even «just for an oil change.» The whole staff is friendly and courteous. In addition, the waiting area is well stocked with reading material, Keurig coffee, soda and water that they provide for free. I would recommend this shop to anyone!

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very nice manager; and very clean facility. Price is right. Bathroom for customers is the cleanest that I’ve ever seen in a franchised auto servicing facility.

Although Gary, the person at the front desk, gave me a little bit of a hard time for arriving 20 minutes late, he honored the free tire rotation that the person on the phone had promised me. Don’t remember his name, but wanted to say Thank You!

Great service & good price. Manager is so nice

The sales manager, Ed, is extremely nice, and they were able to fix a nearly catastrophic problem before I had any issues and for a very fair price. He also honored a promotion from a Midas in another state. That is how you do business, my friends.
