I’ve tried this place a couple of times now and I have to say I’ve been unimpressed every time. Drink selection isn’t very big if you look closely, wish they had more flavors for cold teas instead of just milk tea. The toppings aren’t very vast either. I’ve tried their blueberry smoothie before and it just tasted like something I could’ve made at home. They use all frozen fruits so you know the quality isn’t going to be amazing already. Nothing special about their froyo either and its not self serve. I’d say the only thing special about them is the traditional Chinese sweet soups they have. I redeemed a groupon I got for them last night and it’ll probably be the last time I stop by for a while. I had the green tea tiramisu and Japanese cheesecake with fruit. Cakes are dry, esp the cheesecake, I don’t think they make it in house, pretty sure it’s just ordered and they cut it up. The girl who was cashiering was also the most miserable soul with her standing bitch face. They have a bunch of kids running the counter so customer service is basically non existing.

Sadly I could not get the soups from Yocha bc I was being rushed by my aunt. But I heard several things about Yocha and everyone recommend me to try their soups. However I couldn’t so I got the special drinks and they were pretty good! I forgot their name but it was Y2 and Y3. I’m from New Orleans and we do not have a Yocha there. So I have to come back next time!

All that you want from a dessert. Delicious, sweet enough, healthy, beautiful design and also in valuable price.

My favorite place to hang out after school! They open late too so it’s a great place to go to when you wanna do something spontaneous. Great décor and I love how much natural light gets in. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy something sweet. Their sweet soups are great; I especially love the cloud 9. Quite pricey but it’s nice to treat yourself once in a while. Employees are nice, as well. The most important factor I appreciate is consistency. My favorite drink of all time is the milk green tea with lychee jelly. Every single time I get it, it tastes the same. There’s nothing I hate more than going into a place where consistency sucks. So good job Yocha! Another thing I really love is the froyo. I’ve tried some other froyo places where you can literally feel the ice crystals. Yocha’s froyo is creamy, smooth, and not icey at all. I LOOOVE salted caramel. I don’t even get toppings because it’s already so good by itself. Some things to look out for are the watery drinks. I got a jasmine green tea(I’m die hard jasmine fan) and it was honestly a disappointment. The green tea and jasmine wasn’t even strong; it just tasted like flowery water that was slightly tinted with green tea. so like perfumy water. Is that what they were going for or. Well either way, I don’t recommend ordering that!

Recommended by one of the workers hot purple rice with coconut milk and coconut jelly cold Mango madness Basically I’ve tried all the most popular sweet soup combos before A 1 – 4 and wasn’t very impressed with anyone of them. I love desserts, and if it wasn’t for the location, I wouldn’t be coming here.

Had the yin-ying hot soup, which was quite nice in the rainy weather. One thing that caught me a bit off guard was that the tofu pudding was cold in the hot soup… but otherwise as a sucker for black sesame soup and tang yuan, it was decent. The price does seem a little steep but I’ve honestly never seen another sweet soup/Asian dessert store so I suppose that may be difficult to judge for price.

This was my first time trying sweet soup and I loved it. First of all the place is supa cute. There’s a huge flashy YOCHA sign on the wall — perfect for the IG. I tried the sweet soup combos: Mango Madness and Coco for Mango. Both were very good and refreshing but personally preferred the one with coconut soup. The mango purée was a bit too much mango for me. Would definitely come back for more but it’s far(for those living in Boston) so make sure you have a car or come with someone who does!

I absolutely love this place(for the kind of place that it is)! Although I have not personally encountered any negative service or attitude so I guess you can say I don’t have a say in this, I’d also point out that this is just a specialty drink/dessert place and not so much a fancy, 5 star restaurant that you’re tipping extra for. The only reason I’m docking off a star from this place is the value in price for some of its desserts, more specifically the Cloud 9 since that’s the only one I’ve had. I’m comparing the value for this directly to another competitor place called Sweet Kingdom in Brighton/Allston. Though the similar dessert at Sweet Kingdom is slightly more expensive, the portion is much bigger and I feel is of higher quality than the one at YoCha. It just doesn’t feel like my $ 5 is worth it for the dessert at YoCha. Because of that, the real reason I come here now is no longer the Cloud 9 but the smoothies they have. They have THEBEST Mango Colada smoothie which I’ve never seen at any other smoothie or bubble tea place. Must have if you are a mango and piña colada lover. Boba is also made to be pretty good. The ambiance and décor is nice, kept minimal, sleek and clean looking. Sometimes loud and rowdy but that’s just the nature of it and actually gives it a pleasant, lively feel at times. Recommend if you are in the area for a casual, post-dinner dessert that you can get to-go as well!

Desserts soup are good. I used to take-out and sometime they put lack of topping in my order, such as i ordered cloud 9, they dont put mango slide, or herbal jelly, but they have those description in menu. Yogurt is too sweet.

Had the green tea tiramisu. Very good. Comes with green tea ice cream and little bits of fruit. And a chocolate swirl. We also had the peanut mochi. Doesn’t look as good as the tiramisu but good too

This is one of the few places that serve sweet soups! Although I’m rarely in the Quincy area, I do like to stop by for desserts when I am around. I’ve mostly tried their soups and have not been disappointed by any of them. I’ve also had their mango smoothie which was delicious as well as the green tea tiramisu which wasn’t bad but not my favorite. One thing I haven’t tried at yocha is their frozen yogurt. With so many frozen yogurt places around, that probably wouldn’t be my option at yocha. I recommend the cloud 9, the yocha, and the sesame pudding.

I found out about this spot from a Groupon deal they had going on. First and foremost, it was hard to spot the store. I am not from Massachusetts, or around the area so definitely they could have a more visible store sign. Pros: — None Cons: — Very rude counter lady, kept giving me an attitude, was very impatient. Killed my experience over there. — People around were very loud, and the dynamic to me. Made me feel out of place. — Their menu is not organized, and it was very hard to select. — Prices are a bit higher than most competitors.(I ended up getting a honey bubble milk tea, and it was straight up all sugary, heavy and there was no consistency to it. The worst bubble tea I’ve had.) Overall, I wish I never got the Groupon to visit this dreadful place, to only be disappointed.

Meh it was alright. Service was unfriendly and food was just ok. Don’t make a trip specially out for it but if you’re in the area and wanted to grab a small bite, this place would do the trick. i had the yin yang(hot) and my sis had the coconut tapioca with taro, mango and herbal jelly. We were definitely not impressed considering we paid about $ 11+ in total

There’s not a lot of dessert places like this in Boston so it’s nice to have Yocha around. I have to travel about 10 minute drive from Boston to Quincy to get this. I ordered the Cloud 9 and it was tasty. I can’t complain. The décor is really cute though. They also have froyo and other dessert options.

Nice and clean place, Their dessert is presentable and the place is adorable. I like their mango milk tea there and I do enjoy their cloud 9, just the mango is tart and it gets me every bite. Lol :)

This place has very cute décor. It has a very serene atmosphere and a lot of the furniture, dishes, and eating utensils are white. I love the big windows on the side, it’s beautiful when the sun shines in. There is quite a bit of seating in here for a dessert spot. Many of the dessert joints I have visited tend to have minimal seating, so the seating in here is a plus. They have a great variety of drinks to choose from. They also have a variety of sweet soups(tong shui) and they also serve froyo. I tried the Peach Green Tea and Cloud 9 sweet soup. The Peach Green Tea was delicious and refreshing. It might be a little sweet for those who don’t usually consume a lot of sugar. The Cloud 9 was coconut soup with coconut jelly, tapioca, mangoes, and tofu pudding. It was quite tasty, but it would have been so much better if the mangoes were more ripe. The mangoes that were in my sweet soup were pretty sour, which I’m pretty sensitive too so I tried not to eat a lot of the mangoes, but the sweet soup itself was pretty good.

Ok my 5 stars is only for 1 items that I get here, but it is a well deserved 5 stars! You just get Cloud 9. It really is one of the most amazing desserts that I have ever had. It’s a cold soup with tofu, tapioca, fresh mango, coconut jelly. Even if it’s frigid outside, this soup hits the spot!

Cloud 9: sweet soupy, with lots of fruit bits and tapioca. It’s ok not the best, probably expected a little more. Has coconut milk. Comes hot or cold . Vanilla yogurt soft serve: creamy with a nice texture. Reminds me of Godiva but not better . Would return to try something else

Within just one block, you can get bubble tea drinks and slushies from a ton of different places(B Café — same owner as YoCha I think, Shabu Restaurant, and Vivi Bubble Tea Café Quincy). Your best bet is to get it from YoCha! The flavors are good, the space is clean and chic, and the prices are fair. I’m a huge fan of their milk tea and taro — both are good as teas or if you opt for the slushies, they’ll come well blended, a tad icy on occasion but not terribly so. I really like the boba drinks/slushes at Shabu, but if you’re grabbing them to go, come to YoCha because you’ll reek of hotpot spices, which is kinda gnarly. B Café has solid options, too, if YoCha is swamped — same great flavors, especially for a classic milk tea(perfect flavoring, not too sweet). The froyo here has a nice consistency and they give you generous portions. I like the normal tart flavor, but the cheesecake option isn’t too bad. The green tea tiramisu is decked out! It comes garnished with fruit bits, accompanied by a surprise scoop of green tea ice cream that sits atop chocolate syrup with a side of whipped delightfulness. I’m glad they had the good sense to not drizzle either green tea desserts with the chocolate sauce — major bonus points there. I’d totally get it again! Reasonable prices here for everything they offer. The employees here are nice, too. If you’re running low on data, they’ve got free WiFi! If you’re hankering for dessert, definitely stop in here because the selection is wide and there are a ton of choices of boba drinks, sweet soups, fro yo, and an assortment of other sweet treats to satisfy different palates and tastes!
