12 Spies Vineyards

Love love love this place! Not to mention the couple who owns it. They are always very sweet and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The peach and rose wine are my two faves. Stop by and relax on their back porch and enjoy the peaceful view of the mountains.

People were nice enough. But charging $ 1 per taste of wine, and I am talking a small swallow, was disappointing. I tried 5 of the wines, all were pretty good but nothing special. Had high hopes for this place, but wouldn’t bother going back.

We checked out several wineries around Clayton, GA while on vacation and this was by far the best. The service and tastings were far above the others. Great staff, selection of wine and other wine trinkets you could buy in the store. We will definitely stop by again next vacation. I recommend visiting!

Such a lovely place! The staff was super friendly and so helpful. The wines I sampled were all very good as well. I would definitely recommend stopping by 12 Spies Vineyards. We will return, for sure.

12 spies is such a relaxing and beautiful vineyard. I came here today for a wine tasting and have had the best experience. The property is tranquil and the vino is wonderful!

We had a fantastic experience today! The owners were so nice and very knowledgeable, they even gave us a behind the scenes look at how they made/​bottled the wine, very cool. We will be back!

We had the NICEST time at this vineyard. It was our first day in Clayton and the weather was everything but conducive to our first day in the mountains. With none of our outdoor activities available to us, we were lucky enough to find this oasis in the middle of the storm.
They hold their tastings in cutest, most charming little area– and I believe the price is something incredibly cheap like $ 5 per person? Their wines were the best we tried in the area. Just wonderful!
Now, their bathroom is something you’ll definitely be talking to your friends about over dinner! Just an incredible conversation piece. You’ll have to see it to understand.
As far as the owner, he was so great. A native to our hometown of Miami. Such a warm and caring disposition. Nice guy all around. Makes your experience s o much better.
I cannot recommend this gem of a winery and business enough. Such a pleasure and so happy we spent time there.

We randomly attended this vineyard after visiting the Dillard House– and it was a perfect stop in our day. The owner and pourer are informative and helpful, and the Sweet Moses wine was some of the best Malbec-​based I’ve ever had (Temptation was an awesome white!) Don’t forget to look around for cool touches (the bathroom is so inventive and well done.)
We each left with two bottles from the list she poured from, so obviously whatever they’re doing, works. The ground is a gorgeous after-​wine stroll and the seating area (complete with the chilliest dogs ever) are a nice touch to the scenic background. Would recommend.

Never a disappointing visit… wines are great and the people are great. It is a beautiful place to visit!

Nice, friendly staff, good wine, nice gift shop, great view. Be sure to visit the restroom — they have converted and old organ into the sink!

Today we stopped here on whim. Mike and Lisa were knowledgeable and friendly. Wine selection was good from dry to sweet wines. We will be sure to visit again.

We stopped in today on a whim because we saw a sign for it. We are in the area for vacation. They have excellent wines for good prices (I would be paying a lot more for them in a store). The staff is very wonderful, they stayed open for us when we showed up at 4:55. It is well worth the trip. I wish we had more time spend there and I am going to be looking for their wines when I get back to FL, if not the GA boarder is really close to me. I am really glad that we stopped here.

Absolutely THE BEST wines, ambience, hospitality, everything!!! Be sure to get a bottle of the Temptation Traminette and if you like a semi dry red try the Holy Moses. And say hello to Sampson, the K9 tour guide for me!
