This is my favorite Kringle in town. not a fan of the cookies. The other pastries are yummy and the cinnamon rolls are big enough for four people and crazy delicious. I just sent a couple to my cousin near Seattle. Many props for that.

I have never been here in person but my office had one of these delivered as a thank you. We had the turtle kringle and it was amazing. I do have a sweet tooth problem and this was legit. Perfect flaky and delightful flavors. I couldn’t believe they sent something in the mail from so many states away, and now I see why!!! So worth it.

The website is back up today… and I was most disappointed to see THIS message: As of December 14th we are no longer taking online orders. Online ordering will once again be available on January 4th. Luckily, I wasn’t going to order the Kringle as a gift…

Of all the bakeries in the Racine, this is simply the best. Dont bother going anyplace else.

Kringle is the Wisconsin State pastry And this bakery has the best quality — authenticity — best product in all of Wisconsin ! Get the pecan if you only get 1 — if you get 2 add the apple w/sugar instead of frosting — if you get 3 add the cherry or raspberry !

I love Bendtsen’s Bakery. The staff have always been as friendly as can be. The kringle is delicious. The donuts are huge, fresh, and delicious. Compared to the donuts at Bendtsen’s, the folks at places like Dunkin donuts should be ashamed of themselves. They have definitely become my go-to bakery!

Bendsten’s is the best Kringle bakery in Southeast Wisconsin — bar none. They are the only bakery here that I know of that still uses butter and hand makes all of their Kringles. Each Kringle is a gastronomic work of art! And the variety! Pecan Almond Apple Apricot Cherry Blueberry Raspberry Walnut Turtle Cranberry Cranberry Walnut Cream Cheese Cherry Cheese

If I could give more stars I would. I don’t live in Wisconsin but my friend does. We met at a Green Bay game and hit it off. We were talking about food one day and she mentioned Kringle. My heart jumped for joy I’ve only had it while in Wisconsin… My husband lived there for a while and never had it so on our next trip we had to get some. It was decent when I took him and he loved it. Being so far away in California it’s no where to be found. So my amazing new friend actually shipped me some from your bakery!!! Must say your packaging is amazing the freshness is beyond what I expected… Then to get to the Kringle review … OHMYGOSH the absolute BESTKRINGLE I have ever had in my life. Next Green Bay game we go to I’m making a special stop in Racine to get some fresh Kringle … If it’s this amazing when shipped I might just die and go to heaven trying it fresh! a+++ y’all make the best KRINGLE ever. And I will be a frequent orderer now that I know you can ship!!!

When I’d go home to God’s Country in Wisconsin, I’d usually get Lehman’s kringle they have a store close to my mom’s house. BUT, someone had given us a Bendtsen’s kringle a few wks back and we noticed a difference in the crust. Don’t get me wrong… Lehman’s is «the jam» too. But there’s something unique about the kringle at Bendtsens… their über fantastic crust. It was a few bucks more, but well worth it IMO. I’ll still frequent all the bakeries in Racine for their kringle… to spread the love, but will most definitely be coming back to Bendtsen’s.

Whenever I go to Racine, it’s an absolute necessity to stop at Bendsen’s for one or more Kringles. Heck, sometimes this stop is my primary reason for making the drive to Racine in the first place. These amazing pastry creations seem to be little-known outside of this region of the country. It’s a shame, because they are that good. They are multi-layered pastries shaped like ovals which you bring back to Chicago to share with your coworkers in exchange for wide eyes and grateful praise. Don’t come to Racine without stopping here. Seriously.

I’ve been coming here for years and am always happy with the selections and quality of kringle. I get the turtle, the pecan, the raspberry(with and without cheese), and usually buy a couple of travel boxes to transport the delicious denmark delicasies home safely. General kringle is $ 9 and goes up from there depending on the extras like cheese. I only buy the kringle, but on the other side of the shop are donuts and other sweet delectables for sale at a great price. Maybe next year I’ll splurge on a cream puff.

First of all the staff is so helpful with recommendations and knowing the details of all of the yummy treats in the store. I purchased one of almost everything they had and brought the treats into an afternoon meeting meeting. They were a huge hit. If you are in the area and want a unique sweet treat stop in… you won’t be disappointed!

First ordered from Bendtsen’s when I lived in San Francisco and wanted a taste of home baking. I’ve been ordering them ever since. Also thanks to Bendtsen for offering ground shipping — since I’m in Nashville now it makes it way less expensive so I order more often!

What a FABULOUS place!!! Absolutely original. Super staff!!! I picked up 3 Kringle — pineapple-pecan, raspberry-cheese, and Turtle. Took them to work. They were such a hit that I’m still hearing about it weeks later. While I was in the shop, another customer recommended that I buy a box(additional $ 1.50) to transport them home. He said the boxes are worth every penny and he was right. Each Kringle was so good I couldn’t decide on a favorite! Bendtsen’s Kringle are still hand-made and they are one of the last shops to produce them that way. Maybe THE last shop by now. HIGHLY recommend! It’s just a few easy miles off the interstate — a fun little detour. The shop also sells all kinds of pastries, donuts, cookies, breads, etc… They’ll ship anywhere in the US, too. Stated on their website: «Our kringle has been seen on Today on NBC, Food Network, and Discover Wisconsin Also featured in Road Food and Eat Your Way Across the U.S.A.» What a treasure!!!

Just say yes. Get Kringle-ized. Racine has several good Kringle spots, but this is the one. They ship and the product freezes well for up to a couple of months – but why would you do that? Only suggestion – the website is a little 1992 – need to upgrade order confirmations, etc. update: website now modernized and much more user-friendly – Thanks!

My lady found this place on either tv or online, but this does not matter what is important is Bendtsen’s is so good I could curse. Being that we live in Las Vegas and the bakery is in Wi we ordered the tasty treats through the mail. Delivered as promised and fresh as if I had made a local bakery run Bendtsen’s danish kringles were at my door and making my mouth sing like Frank Sinatra! Where were you danish ladies all my life? lol We ordered peacon, apple, and rasberry. Each was as good as the next, they have many other flavors to choose. I might have to make these a holiday tradition. Give em’ a try and you won’t turn back.

My friend’s daughter’s Bat Mitzvah celebrations are over and it’s time to head home. For me, that means driving back up to Milwaukee on Black Friday to catch a 3PM flight back to San Francisco(via MSP). I decided to get on the road at 6AM so that I could catch do a little sightseeing in Milwaukee and try out a few places written up in the latest version of «Road Food» by Jane and Michael Stern. The first stop was Bendtsen’s Bakery in Racine for a Kringle, «the world’s finest danish pastry». A Kringle looks like a ring about a foot and a half across and as big as a Christmas wreath. It has a featherlight buttery crust, almost like a croissant and is available with a ribbon of pecan or almond macaroon paste or a filling of cherry and cheese(along with other fruit choices). I ordered a cherry one which was warm and fresh out of the oven that early in the morning. And it’s a lot of food for $ 8! In fact, I brough the leftovers home and there’s probably enough left for a total of 4 individual breakfasts! My Kringle has been sweet and tasty and definitely worth the culinary experience. Please note that the Kringle at Larsen’s Bakery just down the street might be just as good, but that may have to wait for the next trip.
