Great live music, unfortunately the worst service I have probably ever had. Rude inattentive staff and eventually just cashed out because we had been without a drink for over 45. Kept having to go to bar for drinks and even to get our check and then again to pay it. At 5 pm. Not even busy at that time. Never again. Sorry. Get it together ladies.

An alright restaurant — I didn’t exactly dislike the food here but it’s really pricey for the quality given. There was no hints of superior ingredients or techniques used here that would’ve justified the higher price, although the flavors were okay. The execution of the dishes was mostly hit-or-miss as well. The white cheddar in the cheese curds was very forgettable(with so many possible choices, I’m not sure why they chose to use this). The fried chicken dinner was done well, with a nice crispy batter and tender marinated meat that wasn’t too salty. The famous fish fry was okay — the batter wasn’t that tasty and the fish inside could’ve been more tender. The slaw was also a bit on the sweet side. The pasta of the three cheese mac was prepared well, but the cheese could’ve been more flavorful, and the lobster was barely noticable. The cuban panini was done well, on par with the ones you’d find in Chicago. Overall, not a bad place if you’re in the area and need a quick bite to eat but a little pricey for what you’re getting.

My wife said she had eaten here sometime ago and it was good, so we decided to go. Long story short we went two times in two weeks because we had time and a gift card. Both times were pretty bad the steak sandwich had a terrible sauce on it even after I ordered it on the side. No big deal usually but it tasted terrible. The wife’s taco salad was bad also and had a funny taste. The second time I played it safe and got a bacon cheeseburger it was ok. But how can u mess that up. Maybe we just got in at bad times?

I went here a few times for Football games. The place was never crowded and service was OK. Food was pretty decent. Yesterday, I wrote this place off. The Manager did me a «favor» by over charing me and refused to correct the bill. Will an empty restaurant, I can see how he needs money more than his reputation. There are lots of great places in Racine. This is not one of them and your better off avoiding it.

An ok place to eat. We stayed at the hotel connected to the restaurant. Decent choice for a place to eat if you don’t want to walk far. But I would’ve been disappointed if we would’ve went out of our way to eat there. Menu choices are limited. But the prices are decent. There is certainly a great view of the harbor! The service was fine, no complaints but not exceptional. Food was good but not great. The pita was pretty good but the jambalaya was very spicy and not described to be spicy.

Honestly, it takes a lot for me to post a bad review but this place(Friki Tiki) has consistently been disappointing and off its game this entire summer. The service here is horrible. Almost all the servers move like they’re hungover or in slow motion. No one seems to value their customers or their jobs. 4 tables got their food before we got the appetizer we ordered. Empty drinks go ignored… not unnoticed. When an error in service is pointed out, such as our appetizer, it should be free or at the least, a genuine acknowledgment of apology. This place has a lot to learn about customer service. I will not be back this summer. I hope they can get their act together because its in a great location.

I’m being very generous giving this restaurant 1 star. I was visiting from Chicago with my fiancé’s family celebrating Father’s Day, excited to dine at this restaurant because it appeared to be nice — right on the lake, nice views, open layout, etc. Fast forward to the menu — I browsed, I flipped the menu, flipped it back, browsed a little more and was disappointed. There are very little selections and the prices were that of a fast food menu — cheap! Usually — at least in my experience, menu items that are cheap(almost all around $ 9) is a good indicator the food will be gross — especially at a restaurant with formal wait staff. I was right. I ordered the stir-fry. It. was. dis. gusting! I was telling my fiancé that I forced myself to eat at least half of it, because I didn’t want everyone asking me why I didn’t eat my food. The stir-fry had a few pieces of meat, and was bland to say the least. Close your eyes and imagine a stale frozen dinner that was once cooked in the microwave, and sat untouched on the kitchen counter for a couple of days — then reheated to a barely warm temperature at the last minute. UGH! I have to say our waitress gave us probably THE worst service I’ve ever experienced in life. She never introduced herself, she barely checked on our party, I never got a refill until about 30 minutes after I ‘tried’ to finish my food, our food was cold by the time we got ‘teriyaki sauce’ to complement the stir-fry. Oh — the teriyaki sauce was just SOY sauce. We didn’t ask for soy sauce. lol I am not sure why this place is operating. Its appears to be nice, kinda reminds me of a Red Lobster type restaurant given the location and theme. The menu items are awkward, and the staff there are stand-offish and cold — just like the food. Avoid this spot. Not worth it.

We have eaten here many times, and had good experiences. However, they have changed their menu, and even items they kept are different now, and not as good. I ordered a tilapia, and it was fishy tasting. When I told the waitress she laughed, she thought I was telling her a joke! I asked her to tell the cook, because it’s not good. Even though the portion was small, I didn’t finish the fish. My husband had a new sandwich, and didn’t like it alt all, as it had no flavor. My son ordered«Curly and Moes» which he gets often. The chicken was overcooked and dry, and there was not enough sauce.

Haven’t visited in a while. Decided on Father’s Day to take the family out to dinner on the lakefront. The waitress who was new was ver unfriendly. Never introduced herself, never smiled, messed up at least two orders that I wondered if she could read her own handwriting. Did not apologize for the error. Never checked in on is until it was time got the bill. Never thanked us for coming. She did not seem to know what she was doing. The service was way below standard. The stir fry was dry and seamed prrpackaged and microwaved. The vegetable soup was very good. The overall menu which was revamped in 2014 was scant. No steak on the menu. Very small portion of tilapia. Won’t be back.

We have been to the Chancery and it’s better known for lackluster service, but typically the food has been good. The menu has recently been re-done, and is now structured in a la carte style. I ordered the Tilapia Fish Tacos with grilled asparagus. The spices were good, but if there was any tilapia there, I wasn’t aware. Additionally, the asparagus came out more like salty stocks of hay — tough ends and wilted stalks with a significant salty crust. My wife ordered a grilled cheese with fries. The fries were leathery and eating them reminded me more of fries at a bad midnight pizza joint that happens to serve fries, but only on Friday — and today was Monday; hence, old. All of that said, ironically, the service was excellent. I’ll think twice about re-visiting for dinner.

So the menu prices seemed to average around $ 11. You would think for being a lake front restaurant that they would have cloth napkins and glass cups instead of paper napkins that were crunchy and plastic cups. I got the Blacken Tilapia Sandwich with onion strings. The sandwich had red chili mayo and pineapple salsa on it, which made the real flavor. It was messy but good. The onion strings were difficult to eat or dip in sauce but were excellent on the sandwich. The server knew her job but made no effort to socialize. My reasoning for the four star is the fact that for the pricing and location they don’t have cloth napkins and glass cups. Will come back for the drink special though!!!

Do not eat here. The mussels I ordered were pre-cooked, frozen, then recooked and covered with what appeared to be salad dressing. Most worrisome, by the time they got to the table, the MUSSELSWERESTILLFROZEN. Fearing shellfish poisoning, I didn’t eat the mussels. When I told the waitress about it, she didn’t take them off my bill. Looks like the kitchen and the wait staff don’t know what they’re doing.

i had a tough time giving chancery 3 stars, as we came here with family on a slow Sunday, but the service was okay and the food was pretty good. there were, however, some big problems. The interior carpets were just dirty, and they had debris sitting on them which we tried to kick in the way of staff, but not too mind was given to that.(i understand a recarpet or retile job may not be in the budget) the other problem was the heat, i think the A/C was broken because the inside staff was sweating and there was no way it below 80 degrees inside. There seem to be quite a long wait on everyone’s food, and maybe that’s normal, But one of the plate was actually boiled ramen noodles/stirfry veggies and sauce it was easy to spot the still square ramen shape that came out of the kitchen. i think there may have been too many servers staffed but not enough prep cooks. the bar manager was found mostly watching television and leaving his olive/cherry tray open to the night. We actually did put in a dessert order, another big wait. maybe our server should have taken our dessert order prior to clearing the table and packing any small leftovers, so it wouldn’t seem so long. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go to chancery, they make decent food, but they need some retraining with better practices or they are going down.

We took a risk by dining at a hotel restaurant, but we were tired, hungry, and looking for a waterfront view. There were no available tables outside, but we were able to sit at the outdoor bar, Freddie’s Friki Tiki, which had a different menu from the main restaurant. The drinks were awesome, and I highly recommend trying them out. The bartenders were friendly, but the service was incredibly slow. It was definitely not the fault of our servers. The two bartenders were doubling as bartenders and waitresses not only for the bar, but the entire outdoor patio; roughly 50 – 75 people. The poor girls were working really hard, and did their best. Clearly the outdoor space was understaffed. I ordered chicken tenders, which I expected to be deep fried, but actually came out grilled and topped with a mango salsa. They were delicious, but I’m ashamed to say that I was disappointed that I wasn’t served the fried chicken fingers I expected. We enjoyed our food and drinks, and had a nice time watching boats go in and out of the harbor.

Came here for dinner with my family, had the chicken strips. Nice dining experience! Food was good, the service was good. No complaints, would come back to this location!

The location of this restaurant right on Lake Michigan is the only draw. I have been to all locations and this one is just disgusting. It is not clean. Certain cooks are sloppy pigs. On my last and final visit ever, my friend went to the mens room. While he was in there, a cook came in, took a crap and walked right back out into the kitchen without washing his hands. GROSS! Luckily, we sat at the bar and drank cocktails. I will never go back, ever.

I stay at the radisson right next door all the time. I love that this restaurant is connected so in the winter time I don’t have to go out to get food. Convenience: A+ There is a pretty wide variety of selection too from burgers, wraps, salads, fish, etc. I’m a rather boring person though and keep on getting small items that I know I can finish that night and not have to worry about fridges. The french onion is delicious, fried are good, and the side salad is okay.

Interesting twists on classic foods. The soups are decent The location is great and there is a screened in porch to eat when the weather is nice right on the water.

Here is why the Chancery is great: 1. Twelve hungry and thirsty Chicagoans out to dinner with drinks and the bill was only $ 168.00! 2. Restaurant is open until midnight on weekends. 3. Portions are big. 4. Food is good. 5. View is great!!! Right in the harbour. 6. Atmosphere is laid back, casual, but not sloppy. We were all pretty impressed with the Chancery, hope to try it again next time I’m in the area.
